    A million tales exist about how the creature known as Blathanna came to be: wild stories of chaos and magic, of utopias and faeries, of humans and wars and life and death. There's even one with jellybeans. And jellybeans aside, few of them might even contain a grain or two of truth.

    Well, you are all perfectly entitled to your grains; I know the whole story.

    It's quite simple, really. There was no great war, no miracle of creation, no freak experiment gone awry. That came later, and resulted in humans. What happened then, if there was no great event to mark the coming of the Blathanna?

    Sheer vanity.

    It started with proud Blath parents decorating their eggs. It was believed that the beauty of the egg would determine the beauty of the child after it hatched, so anxious mothers gathered the most colourful of the flora and fauna around them to adorn their nests and the eggs. But competition is the way of all things, and so, even this very simple display of parental love turned into a fierce contest for the most beautiful egg, and the most beautiful child.

    That the flora and fauna had absolutely no effect on the pups, that their colour was ultimately decided by the original colour of the egg, went completely unnoticed.

    The parents grew creative. Flowers and gems and jewelry were carefully crafted for the eggs; done well, the added accessories appeared to be a natural part of the egg itself. And so life continued in the world of the Blathanna for many years.

    Magic, however, did not sleep then, as it does now. Earth magic gathered in the plants and flowers used to adorn Blath eggs, and slowly trickled into the eggs themselves. It remained within the Blath pups, pooling unnoticed in their bodies, passed on from generation to generation and increasing in power with each new pup, until the day the magic spilled over. It flowed, raw and sparkling, between the unhatched egg and the flowers that adorned it, and they merged.

    Earth magic, however, had always been that of unity and not change. The flowers did not alter the Bla ths themselves, only the eggs. Blathanna now emerged from flowers, their fur splashed with the myriad of colours that their flowers bore. A new sense of the world was awoken within them, a natural affinity for flowers and plants that have the Blathanna gathered in the gardens they are found in today. Gardeners and flowers all at once, the oasis of their home is a paradise unlike any other, a last fleeting glimpse of a world uncorrupted and united and sparkling with the magic of life.

Vampires are available in all of the subspecies of Blath that exist. They are not precisely a true subspecies, and the differences between them and a normal blath/subspecies is small, but noticeable if you know what to look for.

. You can acquire a Blàth through either a flat sale / auction / Pet trade / breeding (the owners of the blossoms from the breeding have control over what to do with them) / or a raffle

. Each Blàth will be 5K each in a flatsale.

. It's not mandatory to RP your Blàth but it is encouraged.

How big are the Blàth?
Full grown adults are about knee high to a normal size human. Gods can be upwards of twice that size and Anthros are only a hand span shorter than a human.

Can they speak?
Blàth are very intelligent creatures and can indeed speak to and understand humans.

Is there a limit to the amount of Blàthanna I can own?
Nope, there's no limit.

How many can Co-Own a Blath?
No more than two, beyond that the blàth gets confused.

How did this person get a pet? There was no sale!
We do pet trades at all times and customs. Some times I may randomly give a pet to a person who I feel deserves one. Yet another reason to haunt and help this thread.

I saw You/Staff Post a random number/Dice in another thread and they're the same numbers as a Raffle/event here! Is the one there the winning number for here?
No, Why? because 1 of 2 things happened. Someone was testing, double checking or recounting the numbers and accidentally hit the post *Draggies comp for example recently keeps switching windows on her.* Or its number for a different Raffle/Event. Dragoil has 5 shops and works for 5 more it is possible for raffles to have the same number of tickets.
So Unless its posted in the thread its being run in, a draw is not counted.

No! not without shop owner's permission, You may ask to do some special auctions or sets but nothing should be sold behind Dragon Phage or Dragoil's back.

Can we do pet trades?
Yes, colourists can do up to two pet trades a month BUT Be sure an Inquiry goes to Dragon Phage or Dragoil *See customs/pet trades*

Can we do our own auction sets? I want to do a fundraiser
You are allowed to do 1 fundraiser/auction set/donation per month WITH shop owners permission.

I want to cert my own, send me the cert?
Nope, for security reasons I'm stingy on who can cert, I might one day trust someone enough to cert but till then. No.

I want my own, Can I have one?
Colourists get one free blàth as a shop pet, Beyond that you have to pay the shop 50% of its worth, unless otherwise decided by a shop owner.

Sooooooooo your Blàth has found love and wants children? Or maybe he or she wants little minions to raise... Or you just want them to have pretty kids! This is where you come for the information on how you go about doing that.

Each breeding costs:
~ Normal: 3K
~ Woofie: 3K *Uncommon*
~ Naturals: 3K
~ Wingless: 3K *Uncommon*
~ Anthro: 4K *Uncommon*++
~ Butterfly/insectoid: 6K *rare*
~ Dragonic: 10K *rare*
~ Aquatic: 6K *rare*
~ Angelic: 15K *rare*
~ Demonic: 15K *rare*
~ Fae: 15k *Rare*
~ SE: 500k *Uber rare and Unique 2 stages*

Breedings open every 3 or 4 months, to the best of our abilities. When slots open, the way to claim them is to post your form in the guild. Remember, you can not breed two of your own Blàth unless it's a special, unique couple. Those require special permission from the owners. You will need to make sure the other owner has given permission. We really do not want to post the blooms, and then 2 days later hear 'But so and so never asked me, I didn't want my Blàth bred!'. That is bad. So don't do it please!
When a Blàth couple breeds, they tend to produce from 2 to 4 blooms. If you have spares, you can give them away, or sell them. If you choose to sell them, 40% of the profit must go back to the shop. So please let us know if you choose to do that.

Breeding F.A.Q.

How often can Blàth breed?
Blàthanna can breed once every 2 openings at least. They're not baby machines, they've gotta have some rest. Also, all Blàth must have been fully grown for at least 2 weeks before they can breed. Note I say once every two OPENINGS so if you got a slot last time let someone else have a chance wink

Can I sell all the blossoms I get from breeding?
Afraid you can't. They're not just about profit. Each owner must either keep one of the blossoms themselves, or give them away free of charge. You can auction off or sell whichever ones are left over at that point. 3nodding

How do I sell the Blossoms?
Send a PM to Leiss Dymen or the mule saying how you would like to sell them, and a staff member will start up a thread selling the blossom. Item values will be taken from the mid TekTek range, or in the case of store items, their sellback value. Please don't make your own thread!

How do I breed my Blàth?
In order to reserve a spot in the garden, you must check to see if there is a breeding spot open first! If there is, then either you and the owner of the Blàth you want your Blàth to mate post a message in the proper Breeding Garden thread, and send the required breeding fee. Please check the price list for the proper fee.

Do they mate for life?
No, Blàthanna can have as many or as little mates as they want during their lifetime, but if they wish to stick with only one mate, that's fine with them. Mated blath do come with the added bonus of always having more blooms!

How many blossoms do you get from each bunch?
In each breeding (bunch) you can get between 2-4 blossoms. The amount of blossoms you receive is random.

How long will it take to get my blossoms?
It will take roughly 1-2 weeks to receive your blossoms. whee heart After that a name is needed, once I have that they will begin to grow.

What do I do with my new blossoms?
You can do whatever you like with them. You can either keep them, give them to friends, sell them, or auction them. If you sell or auction them please read all the questions, as there are several pertaining to this. Once all owners for the blooms are decided, please post in the Naming Thread with their information.

I want to sell/auction one of the blossoms I get from breeding.
If you're going to sell/auction one of the blossoms you receive from a bunch, then 40% of whatever amount the blossom sells for must come back to the shop.

What happens if we breed demonic/angelic/normal etc crosses?
Well now there are no half breeds, some genes are recessive, you may get one demonic out of three if you cross breed. Of course special types, such as Special series blath, usually retain their species are a dominant trait, still mutations occur. Do not be disappointed if you get all normal from a cross breeding, it is random what comes from breedings.

What happens if we breed true demon/demon angelic/angelic
You will get those types full in the clutch.. if you wish for more of the god or special types I suggest breeding true.

What happens if we breed same gender *Male/Male Female/Female*
Well for starters it depends on the pair, the blood line has to be genetically induced to produce blooms so some mutations happen, actually you have a 90% chance of total mutations, Albinos, missing limbs, wingless, mutes, blind, genderless.. All that fun stuff. Some times you just get a sprite that's very, very confused. xd

What happens with sprites/ Can we breed same gender too, what about wild / domestic *with a blath*
Ok, sprites are VERY gender sensitive so no gender mixing, M/F only. You can mix domestics with wilds but they will only produce wilds. Inter species breedings and special custom breeding is possible. Those would be interesting to see wink

Is it possible to breed more than two Blath? Like, "threesomes"?
This is theoretically possible. However, the offspring would still have only two parents, chosen at random from the Blath participating in the breeding, varying from bloom to bloom. (For example, if you breed Timmy, Tommy, and Susy, then one of the children might have Timmy and Tommy as parents while another might have Tommy and Susy.) Not all breeders may allow this, however, so be sure to read everything when going for a breeding! There will usually be a note about the maximum number of parents allowed in a slot.
