The Story

<center>
Bish-Kits are chibi, half-bishoujo/shounen and half feline creatures. Bred by Sarabi, there are currently 3 breeds available; Standard Breed, Kitsune Breed, and the Strays. The first, Standard Breed, is a lot like your average domestic cat; not really exotic, but still pretty cute. Among the many, many different Gaian Pets available, these Bish-Kits are popular for their easy-going temperments and generally sweet nature. The Standard Breed Bish-Kit was the breed that Sarabi began the entire Bish-Kit enterprise on, and the breed that, through experimentation, she was able to develop the Kitsune breed from.

To tell the truth, Sarabi really doesn't know where Bish-Kits originated from. She found Marvy and Jingo at a local Gaian Pound, and without hesitation, adopted the pair of them. Nature led the way from there, and it wasn't long before Sarabi found that first purple egg, snuggled in her bureau drawer. It took a rather long time for her to hit upon the idea of breeding them for profit; to help pay for all of the kitty food, tuna, and peanut butter (yes, peanut butter) that her adorable (but ravenous) pets were consuming.

After a few flat sales, when Sarabi finally realized that she could actually start a real business selling these pets, she started getting serious about breeding them.

Night after night she stayed up, with an Breedables Addict's devotion, and an Insomniac's working hours. It was during this time, at 3 in the morning, that Sarabi heard a scratching at her door. She waited for it to stop, and when it didn't, sighed and got up. Marvy apparently wanted to be let out again. Just as she thought, when she reached the door Marvy was waiting, his large blue eyes imploring. You know the feeling; you love your pets to death, but sometimes in the middle of the night, they lose a lot of their charm.

Sarabi opened the door to let Marvy out, then stifled a gasp of surprise as she saw a scruffy-looking creature sitting on the porch. This was...a Bish-Kit! Not any kind that she'd ever seen, however. It was so...dirty, and nearly feral-looking. She had definate doubts about the fierce little creature, but when Marvy greeted it nearly affectionately and led it inside, it was clear that she no longer had any choice in the matter. So she gave it a bath, and cleaned it up as best she could. She knew that she couldn't afford to keep any more pets, but surprisingly (and happily) was able to find a home for the stray Bish-Kit quickly. These strange, wild Bish-Kits still do appear at her home every now and then, and when they do, she always finds a loving home to take them in.

Now back to her research into the breeding of Bish-Kits. Many books (and many, many eggs) later, the Kitsune breed was developed. And believe me, it was a totally unexpected success. Sarabi found Jingo's eggs, (under the bed this time) and they were...a different color. They hatched a week or so after discovery, and Sarabi's suspicions were confirmed- a new breed of Bish-Kit! The babies had fox-like tails, and cute little fangs that showed when they opened their mouths to mew. Charmed, Sarabi soon released them to the public, christening them "Kitsune" Bish-Kits, after their foxlike characteristics.

That's pretty much where the Bish-Kit story now stands, and Gaia's pet lovers really seem to adore the new breed. The Breeding Center is now open, so Sarabi can introduce the Bish-Kit owners to the joys of raising their beloved pets' own offspring.</center>

Bish-Kit Stats


Standard Breed


The Standard Breed Bish-Kit is characterized by solid coat coloring in most, and the charming wide-open eyes that all males and females of the breed share. Standard Breeds come in 3 known colors: Ruddy, Charcoal, and Cream. Each color possesses the characteristicly dark or lighter paws and ears, which contrast with the general coat color. Standard Breed Bish-Kits weigh in at about 5 lbs in adulthood- roughly the weight of a small cat. Standards have been bred with excellent results, and Sarabi is always experimenting to improve the breed, and Bish-Kits in general.

Kitsune Breed


The Kitsune breed Bish-Kits are best known for their playful, mischievius personalities, and their super-silky long fur. They come in attractive coloring of either Red, or Silver. The males and females of this breed have slightly different coloring, and their eggs are tan, instead of the purple of Standard Breed eggs. Kitsune Bish-Kits have large, sensitive ears which greatly enhance their hearing. Almost without exception, Kitsune Bish-Kits have yellow eyes and tanned skin. The males of the breed have pronounced canines, which are not as prominent in the females. As with every Bish-Kit, the Kitsune Breed is fully equipable with items from the Item Shop.

#1- To order a Bish-Kit, you must post in this thread, with the following information:

a)Egg #
b)Name (Pet Name)
c)Gender (One egg will have this option)
d)Breed (Kitsune)
e)Color (Red or Silver)

#2- You must direct-link using the link that is PMd to you. If you don't, your pet won't change. Owners are encouraged to keep their pet direct-linked so that they can access the item shop.



General Rules
  1. Anyone caught unintentionally breaking the rules may be greylisted on a case-by-case basis. Anyone caught intentionally breaking the rules will be blacklisted.
  2. Anyone unable to take two minutes of their time and read the first page before posting is AUTOMATICALLY greylisted without question. This includes people who ask "How do I buy a pet?" or "How much are they?" when instructions and availability are posted on the first page.-No swearing or posting of leud stuff.
  3. Be respectful of other others and their pets.
  4. No In Character fighting unless it is a situation the owners agree upon. No OOC fighting period.
  5. No godmodding. Your pets do not go super saiyan, they cannot toss ki balls, and they do not modify others' reactions or actions by themselves.
  6. No posting "Is anyone here?" or anything similar. This is a forum, not a chatroom. People do not watch the thread 24 hours a day.
  7. Roleplaying is not required for ownership, but very suggested.
  8. Theft of any kind will be punished to the full extend of our powers to include calling upon the moderators.
  9. No whining, drama, rudeness, or other un-nice things. We dont care if your boyfriend left you for another guy, or that you werent the winner in a raffle. Keep the negative things out of the threads and the positive things in.
  10. All auctions, raffles and flat sales will be announced at least 3 days prior to the event.
  11. You must name you pet within 3 days of ordering or we will consider it abondoned and put it up for adoption.
  12. All sales, unless otherwise noted will be pure gold only.
  13. Do not ask for a job. If we are hiring we will ask those we want to hire to join. Asking for a job will just annoy us and make us not want to hire you.
  14. Do not PM the staff regarding orders.
  15. All artwork belongs to Sarabi.
  16. The staff reserves the right to modify any of these rules as we see fit.


Greylist/Blacklist
Anyone on a greylist will be denied official service and sales for a period of no less than one week, after which time the offender's removal from the greylist will be reviewed. An offender on the greylist is still welcome to roleplay and socialize with other owners and/or pets in the threads.
Anyone on the blacklist will be denied official service and sales for a period of no less than two months, after which time the offender's move from the blacklist to the greylist will be reviewed. An offender on the blacklist is BANNED from Bish-Kits, and will be enforced through Moderator action if need be.
All greylisted/blacklisted offenders are allowed ONE private message to the user Bish-Kits explaining their side of the situation. If you cannot make a good arguement in one PM, dont PM at all.

Featured Breed


This new breed was inspired by someone who (without reading the rules very closely) ordered a Kitsune Bish-Kit. When I was brainstorming ideas for a new breed, this came out, and I immediately knew what I wanted them to look like. Now unlike their cousins, the Standard Bish-Kits, Kitsunes come in only 2 colors: Red & Silver. Stop ordering silvers, goddamn it!! The reds are pretty too!!
