The Yggdrasil Life Cycle
Stage One (Fruit): The gods have shined upon you and taken time out of basking in the sun and formed this small crystal fruit. The only plce to find these enchanted pieces of fruit are on the isle of the Tree of Life. This is the place where happy couple will go to pray for a child, only here can their wish be granted. At this stage one must take great care of the fruit. It will only mature if the parents love it and care for it to the best of their ability. This is also the stage where the gods have the most influence, should the gods not look favorably on the union, you might just end up with more then you can handle.
At this stage, the wolf is able to communicate telepathicaly. This is a spirit of the child, and it know most everything the child will learn in life. All information that this form knows is lost once the fruit has changed to child.
Stage Two (Child): At this stage, the parents have the most influence over the young cub. They have to teach their child to walk, talk, and otherwise be on it's own. This is no different then any other child, they need your love and affection, or they could very well find other ways to get it.
Stage Three (Adult): As far as we know this is the final stage of the life cycl efor these wolflings. Here they are able to talk, walk and do most anything they think possible. Most of the races however are devoted to their god, worship being one of the staples in their lifestyle. Many of the adults become priests of priestesses, or somehow work around their spiritualality. Just as common is becoming a warrior, a mother, and many of the other jobs that need to be taken on in life.
Yggdrasil Races
Gods: The gods are like the ruling powers of the world. They keep the mortals safe from the other wolrdly beings that would threaten their lands, as well from the evils within. Each god, other than the four main gods (Good, Evil, Neutrality, and Chaos) have a ruling domain, falls under one ofthe four main gods. Theses domains can be anything from light to the arts. Each god is designed to protect that domain, and rule over it the best they can.
Knights: Knights are those created by the gods themselves. The god that they follow is their parent, their creator. They have a loyalty to that god, and an obligation to follow that god's rule. The knights are grated powers from their god, most of which is a superior strength. Flight is also an option, but not nessessarily one that is given to every one. Some knights are granted the power of free will (i.e. Jareth) others are created to be mindless drones, those that do as their master commands.
Silvana: The Silvana are creatures of neutrality. Their god, the god of neutrality himself, granted them the closeness to their source of life, and thus entrusted them to maintain his way of life. Being as they are, the Silvana are the most likely to keep a conversation, wether or not those around them wish it. They are also are good negotiators, being able to see both sides of an argument far more easily then the others. The Silvana are builders, craftsmen, and warrior, their peaceful way of life making this sort of community based work good for them.
Syclo: The Syclo are the creatures of light. their ruling goddess, The White Lady, as she is called by her following, favors the arts of healing and love over those of her siblings. Her Syclo are what most would call healers of medicine men. They are those that are called on to heal the sick, tend to the dying and those in pain. They are normally soft spoken and mysterious, but allways kind, never engaging in any fight, and that is normally their downfall.
Tundra: These cold souls are solitary creatures, they like to hide on their snow capped island, relishing in each other's company rather then those of the other 'better' races. This is not to say that the Tundra are a community bases race, they most certainly not. These frozen hearts are out for themselves and allways will be. It is easy to say that they inherited some of their goddess' less attractive traits. The tundra are known mostly for their skills in poison making and other such arcane, and dangerous forms of entertainment. It is because they are servants of death, that the Tundra are best suited for wars, many of them becoming worriors in the name of their goddess.
Foala: Unique among the races is the Foala. They have a tendency to enjoy having fun. They are more likely to be outside playing in the rain or tree tops then sitting inside their houses where it is hot and stuffy. Rather wild and outgoing, they stand out from the other races. They are known for their love of fun, their artistic endeavors, and the fact that they worship Yggdrassil directly, and pay no mind to the rulings of the other gods.
Gypsies: The gypsies are a free spirit sort of race. Thy move freely from place to place, and inhabit almost every island. They believe that one is free to worship who one pleases, and many choose which god(dess) they serve, if any at all.
