arrow Yeah... So basically I've ripped off the idea behind the old classic cowboy westerns like "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly", where cowboys are badass-good-guy-bounty-hunters, which got ripped off by Cowboy Bebop, where space cowboys run around the galaxy kicking a** and making money by collecting the rewards placed on the heads of their bounties. I've made up the background mostly (I think, I never really looked that deeply into the Bebop series, and I don't think this is quite the same...) Anyways, enjoy! Thanks.
The Big Idea... idea


arrow The year is 2641 A.D. Humanity has been colonizing planets for the past 6 centuries. Chinese and American space fleets led the way with their superior technology back at the start of 2100, Russia just missed it's opportunity owing to yet another balkan war. Of course, America and China don't really exist anymore, at least not like they did back on Earth...

But who cares about that used up, broken and barren planet anymore? New worlds are populated by new races of people, with new dialects and new cultures. The old Earth countries - the ones who claimed their systems first that is - are still running the show (or at least the economy), but governements are a thousand times bigger and more unreliable than back in the 21st century. Humanity has spread itself so thin over the galaxy they can't keep track of themselves anymore. The black market has become a force indeed, in fact, whole systems are devoted to the illegal trafficking of drugs, sex, slaves, tech, natural ressources... The list goes on forever. Criminals and outlaws flock to these systems, the money around here has never been so good, and the money the government is willing to pay has never been this alluring either... Bounty hunters may or may not be good guys, but it seems that most everyone around is here willing to do any dirty job for any amount of money.

With hegemonists and republicans and faschists etc. in every quadrant of the galaxy bickering over "what judiciary system" and "who keeps the prisonners" and "where the line goes", the only thing they all seem to agree with is that all these millions of criminals cannot be allowed to wander freely disrupting the "peace". Bounties are attached to the criminals, and are awarded to however nabs the little bastards. Bounty hunters have emerged as a new sort of police, and it's a down and dirty business for the cowboys of the 27th century.

arrow Bounties and Hunters

Half the fun is in the villain, and role-players are expected to play multiple characters - both bad guys and good guys at the same time. Be prepared to create lots of bad-guy characters over the course of the RP. Of course, the good guys are pretty much expected to prevail all the time, but what fun is it without a good struggle first and a wicked and intelligent enemy?

As in Cowboy Bebop, there's fresh bounties to be had after every capture, and coming up with new foes and plots all the time should be fun. An ongoing struggle between good and evil is always good and is certainly allowed, but a fast kill is sastifying all the same. It's up to you to create fun things to destroy ^^

I hate to make it predictable, but that's one of the best parts of cowboy movies, right? fun fun fun. Fill out the bad-guy profile with each new character - you don't need to spend hours, we just want to know what they're up to - or just spill the plan and everyone can sort of NPC minions or whatever. GO WITH THE FLOW.

As far as science and technology and medicine and space travel go, you're encouraged to get creative and make stuff up. This goes for places as well (planets, cities, bars...) with climats, dialects, cultures... It's not all that important, as long as you sort of keep the current location's specifs in order.

appearance - Devi is one handsome little devil. Her looks are perfectly androgenous - one can't really tell if she's a man or a woman. Her chest is practically flat, and her body tall, lean and bony (5'11", 125 lb), what's there is all muscle. Devi's hair is a shaggy, spiky mess thattends to all grow forward into her face from the top of her head, and shoots off to the left side of her face. It's so blonde as to be almost white, which looks startling next to pale amber eyes. Her lips at times would give her away to be a girl, they're pouffy and pouty. Her voice is deep for a woman's, and a bit monotone. Don't let her sing. Ever.
personality - She's often miffed about someting, fuming in a corner because she didn't get her way, or taking her rage out in some random hacking spree. Her lack of self-restraint is evident in almost everything she does, except she'll constantly deny and ignore the fact and doesn't want to talk about it. Bad habits include smoking, drinking, mild substance abuse, over-sleeping, and rarely bathing. The result is a sort of compressed animal energy that she releases during a hunt, she secretly is a sociopath (it sort of becomes obvious after a while though), but she feels like it's sort of important to keep a good rep and some honour, something she's never actually managed to achieve. Her weird behaviour has to do with morals developped way too late in life to be really a set part of her personality, but hey, she tries.
bio - She was a kid who lived on the wrong side of tracks, but played on the right side. Her parents were dirt poor and her older sister was a hooker while she was growing up. Devi knew how to make friends in the right places though, she was eating and dressing well and learning all the etiquette from a few rich kids she had wrapped around her little finger, her own puppets, kids whose parents didn't have enough time for them. The same parents happened to run an underground drug operation, and got sold out to the feds. Thus began Devi's fascination with the crime-world, and what it had to offer her. A bit of illegal activity was definitly worth the risk for that much money, I mean, that was alot of money... And besides, she practically was a con artist already, had the skills, right? Wrong. Devi had found some people and started to get involved with some local crime-rings, and she met this nice young man during a deal... Well, turns out Simon-dearest was a cop, but he had been a shitty boyfriend anyways. Devi spent a year's hard time in jail.

But the delinquent wasn't totally lost to the dark side, in a stroke of fate, her cellmate happened to be the bounty huntress extraordinaire - "Lady" Catsy Berns. Devi became something of her disciple in that year, and learned all the ins and outs of bounty hunting. When she was released, she knew exactly where to go and how to go about it. She was officially in the business of hunting.

appearance - Haa, if you can see him. But I doubt you can, if you look deep enough maybe you could see. Maybe, If through his short dread locks that are pushed into his face you can see his hazel eyes, that are more green then brown but the tiny flecks of chocolate brown and gold are enough that they are technically called hazel. Eyes, some call them the windows to the soul. Maybe they would be if he had one, but he seems to have permanently misplaced. Or maybe he just never had one. What is a soul anyways? It seems horribly over-rated.
Appearance, that's what we were talking about. Terribly sorry.
He has a soft mocha tone to his skin, decorated by scars and inked was tribal designs. Back from his distant heritage from Earth. Or at least half of it anyways. His overly-baggy clothes hide his muscular physique.
personality - His deep, smooth, baritone, clear as day and dark as night wins over the coolest of cats. He'll show you what he thinks you want to see and he's usually right. He's good at reading people. Jail will do that. He can be calm, reserved and brooding. Funny and smart, angry and explosive or just be. Depends on his mood and yours. Deep down he doesn't really know. Is he a confused and lost little boy deeeeeeeeep down inside? Maybe. Very slightly mad? Definitely.
bio - He grew up in a fairly normal house, with a fairly normal family, with some fairly normal friends and a fairly normal dog. But fairly normal was not what our boy is looking for. Finding trouble and charming his way out of it was his favorite past-time. Until a woman came that changed everything. She was perfect, breasts, thighs, hips, lips, eyes everything. A sex goddess. And he wanted nothing else.
He left his prior life and followed her to the ends of the universe doing anything she wanted. After three years all he did (and didn't do) caught up to him and he was left. She moved on the the next sweet young thing and he spent the next six years in prison.
There he took what he had already learned about fighting and perfected it.
Hoping deep down in his childish, selfish, blindly faithful recess's of his mind that is he ever met his goddess again that she'd love him.

personality - She tends to think about herself only. What would benefit her is always her number one goal. She does things for a reason and is not asshamed of her crime life. This for one is some what looked down upon. People don't always trust her. Expesially now with the Order coming into power.
bio - Oria was once a bady, she worked with a well known mobster that was brought down after five years of complete chaos. It was then that her and all the other members where sent to jail. After she got out at the age of 20 she decided to find herself. What was she to do now? She was already a skilled hacker and tech. But what would she do with her life? It was then that she decided upon bounty hunting finding some one that would trust her she decided to join the Tervrizent crew. She would lend a hand in any way she could. It has been about six months since joining the crew and even now she might not be fully trusted. Oria is very loud and out spoken. She doesn't take crap off of anyone and has some mad style.

ship - Owner Of White Toxin
occupation - Head of the order. A huge drug and illegal selling of toxins. They are all know for wearing skull like heads that look extremely real. In those skulls each have a built in gas mask which proves effective when Hazard uses his own or they come in with the tanks. The tanks are a simple can that holds the toxin in use. It is there main weapon along with guns.
age - 24, last recorded age.
appearance - --->Hazard<--- Hazard is about 5'5". He is an synthetic enhancement. He was slowly taken as a human and slowly changed into a complete machine. His left arm can sink back pulling out a gun that is hidden there. His gas like nosel on his face is really a gas mask that releases several different kinds of toxic poisons that helps him from being effected by them.
personality - Hazard takes bounty hunters with little remorse for any. If messed with by one he will do anything to kill them. It will not be a fight you can simply escape from. He loves a killjoy and simply doesn't take s**t off of anyone. Hazard also holds little sympathy for those who mistake him as a machine. He holds his beliefs and goals hidden yet it is wandered if he is any more than just a cold heartless machine.
bio - He landed himself in jail at the age of ten for attempted murder and then attempted suicide. It was later after he convinced his pyhscatirist that he was fine and ready to live a normal life. Yet as he got out of jail because of the false testimony he disappeared from the world. It was later discoverd by the police that he was gathering up illegal followers. By that time he had already began going under the process of becoming a complete synthetic enhancement.The only reason he became a complete synthetic enhancement was so that once he started the order he could be the head forever, since he was keeping himself alive through science. His followers then began to call him hazard and wearing the skull heads. After the order came into a known group they began there chemical record. The groups all well know legacy.

cause - He is known for several accounts of torturing people who wouldn't make a deal with the order with gas. The gas had caused all of them to loose their minds. On top of that he sells drugs and owns several huge plants thats operation is unknown but is sure to be illegal. On top of the accounts of murder and illegal business he has plans of bringing in his own government which would prove to be a disaster. It would make him completely untouchable.

appearance - Covered in sinewy muscle, though somewhat short (5'11), Giant dresses in a primitive loincloth with some sort of band around his left theigh. An arm band is fixed high on his left arm, and a strange metal device is strapped to his back. He wears an environmental mask most of the time that offeres enhancements to what he can see. His brown hair is wild and unkempt, and is braided so tightly in several places that they appear to be solid tendrils of hair. He wears a necklace of bones and has two bracers, one with a spring loaded blade on it. Over his body he has a strange netting that actually works as a cloaking device. Image.
personality - Giant is quiet and secluded, having been an outcast his entire life, feeling he is deformed. He is fiercly competetive and tries often to prove his worth and make up for his size.
bio - Giant comes from the rough uncolonized fringes of known space. He is somewhat feral, raised outside societal norms, ridiculed in his youth. When he came of age, he underwent all neccessary rights of passage, and now finds himself on his own as he has been all his life, operating under the perogative of what he had known to be right.
cause - Trophies and recognition. Also the thrill of the hunt.
estimated bounty - 600 000 (the killing of military units and colonists on several planets)

crew - At least one pilot. Max crew is 16 (well, accomodations are for 16, can hold more). Pilot cannot control all weapons at the same time.
exterior appearance - [!]
interior description - The fuselage takes up most space on this ship, it's consists of a large hanger that can hold 5 fighters, that has a mouth-like opening, sealed off from the rest of the ship, and the primary engine deck, where no one should really be going as it's tended to by AI computer systems and to play with it mid-flight would probably blow the whole ship up.

Two small decks are collectively called the upper deck, and are the most important - the bridge deck is an elliptical-shaped room and contains all primary ship controls (primary steering, navigating, engine control, docking controls, weapon locks), located at various points in the large room. There's a small retiring room with a couch and a busted Mr. Coffee machine in the back. The second upper deck is the gun deck, the highest deck on ship that is reached by a ladder from the bridge deck. The upper decks share the same ceiling, which arches overhead from the front of the bridge to the back of the gun deck.

The waist deck is the living space, larger than the upper deck, much smaller than the fuselage. A circular hallway wraps around the whole deck, almost all doors on this deck connect to this hallway. There are 5 rooms with 3 bunks each against the same wall, all singles, and 3 small rotating shelving closets (hit a button for your own closet). Berths might have been nice once upon a time, but now they're sort of dirty and run-down. Each berth (room) has it's own bathroom (practically all stainless steel) which contains a shower, toilet, sink and garbage chute. The galley (kitchen) is at the stern (back of the ship) and is connected to the rec room at the bow (front). There's a lots of unused, either riddled with wiring and electrical panels and computers, or just... empty. The captain's quarters are bigger than the regular berths, with a queen-sized bunk, a small living space, small galley, and big washroom (there's a tub!)

features - This ship is a transport cruise, built for transport first, speed second, and offense last. Think defense instead. The jump to hyperspace/light speed is fast for a ship with transport capabilities, and the fuel cells almost unique in their ability to regenerate 10% of what they spend (black market you know). On waist deck there's 1 gun on portside, 1 on starboard. The gun deck has 2 primary retractable cannons that double as guns at port and starboard, and just below the bridge at the stern is a third retractable gun. Cannons lauch missiles, guns fire bullets.

crew - A.I. piloting system, also can be flown by one man.
exterior appearance - White with a black glint to it. It has a huge Blue and silver bird on the left side that seems to be screaming. It is rather slim with glass set up on the front that is the main deck. It has two wings on the side and a long nosed front that is flat.
interior description - The ship inside is rather nice; it looks much like an inside of a home. The main deck is on top, an elevator being the only way to reach it. Then below it heads right into a middle room which feels much like a lobby. There are many doors that come off of it one heading towards his office another heads to the kitchen and mess hall. Another leads to the member bunks. Next to the door to his office is the room that is his room. Then next to it is his officers rooms. In a another elevator it goes down to two different levels. One is the main control room which is known as the power room. If something is going wrong with the ship then it is dealt with here. Then below that is the shipping dock and the storage of hazardous chemicals. In a sealed off room to the side is a hall with several glass chambers. This is to hold anyone who shouldn't wander around his ship or is an enemy.
features - It has a huge holding ability with seven different fighter ships all the same sleek black two person holding ability. Each has two different types of Lazer on them and a small carrying capacity. The White Toxin has several different types of guns on it, including Lazers and guns. Its firing rate and ability to move quickly is high. It is definatly the most agile ship out there.


Fighters / Singles (small ships)

crew - 1 pilot, one passenger could cram themselves in too...
exterior appearance - [!] This ship has zero shine for efficient low-altitude night-time cruising (no reflections, less easy to spot) and is solid black in colour.
interior description - A snug cockpit has a 180 degree line of sight horizontally around the front end of the small ship and a view of the sky, the interior is basically just a large sunken chair and a demi-circle control panel with a few monitor screen here and there.
features - Nyx is a pursuit/assault fighter, designed for speed and maneuverability. She has a complex AI system that helps in maximizing the aerodynamics of the ship. 2 small fixed guns stem from the wing tips, one adjustable gun from beneath the fuselage.

crew - One is needed
exterior appearance - With sleek black outside look its main body is the shape of a triangle. The back has tons of extra boost and the wings on the side are perfect slick forms. Her ship appears to be more futuristic in this time if this is even possible. Her ship seems to disapear in space itself and becomes all most eye unchatchable.
interior description - Simple and meant for one person. It has a bed in the very back through a door-full size, then a small bathroom and his leather seats-two for a simple extra person mission. The control panel is full of buttons and the space is comfortable. The inside material is very nice and light weight so the get away is quick.
features - one mintue invisible shield. High defense shields, machine gun-like front guns- switch for that into a lazer[but drains power] and to a cannon for a more heavey hit. Also has the most advance power sourses and booster engine. She is always updating her baby.

Currently...


Our characters find themself hunting their bounty in The Chosser system. This system contains about 20 small, close-proximity planets of about 100 000 to 200 000 people per planet. The planets are really more like dried up astroids that got sucked towards the star that burns at the centre of this system. Vast, red deserts cover most of each planet's surface, where they got around to drilling out wells there's rich farmland and scattered towns, the only real cities are Jasper, Sobine and Serats (all on different planet. These cities have the banks and are the industrial furnace of Chosser, not to mention the homes of the people in running this place...

Chosser has a highly corrupt banking system run by an oligarchy of drug-lords, and it's black market is growing steadily due to an increasingly higher demand for illegal items, while the governement turns a blind eye - brass here knows that the only thing keeping the traders coming here is for the good-old fashioned, home-grown drugs Chosser is famous for. There's been repeated failure to institute any real law-enforcement, making this system the perfect hide-out for criminals of any kind. Chosser is so lame, universal politics tend to ignore this place and just... let it rot quietly...

Chosser is also notorious and famous for their racing, fighting, and gambling mansions - shady places run by the rich for the poor to come and spend hard-earned credit on any bet you can imagine. Come one, come all!
