(A child of this store, it's dedicated to one of the creatures featured in the Bestiary of the world of Xanolonia)

Introduction

Welcome to Xanolonia!

Where the power of the will decides the fate of the land and its people. Combining the might of honourable combat and Dhimari spellcraft, Xanolonia is filled with legends and lore. While most of this lore remains undiscovered and the sacred artefacts remain untouched that which has been found threatens the very existence of all that is held dear.

The people and creatures that exist in this world are the only beings with the power to shape its future. Humans and beast alike must join forces in the pursuit of balance - not so much 'peace' for this is nothing but an idealists dream but a world in which factions may co-exist to the point of tolerating each other.

With dark forces rising in the north and war brewing on the horizon frail alliances shatter and suspicion runs rife within society.

Please excuse the dust, Xanolonia is under reconstruction~!

[11th August 2007]
The updates list has been cleared to make way for a face lift. Xanolonia is under going a series of changes to its layout which will make it more presentable and easier to understand! Therefore, I'd appreciate it if you excused the dust for now~! <3

Colourist Hiring Event will start on the 12th August and finish on the 31st August! Be sure to check it out. For further details on this event please see the first post on Page 2.

[1] First and foremost: Steal art and die. This is the fastest way to get blacklisted and reported to a moderator.

[2] Do not edit any of the art.

[3] Do not PM the shop keepers! Questions shall be posted and answered in this thread only.

[4] Be courteous to the shop keepers and all other visitors. Remember the wise-old saying of "If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all".

[5] Role-playing (RP) is required. If we see you're inactive for too long (without a posted hiatus), your character will be deleted without any questions asked. You will not recieve a refund.

[6] Because this is RP intensive, there will be no co-owning allowed. (You can co-buy, but only one person is allowed to own).

[7] To further strengthen rule #5: Only one per owner! (Unless otherwise stated).

[8] Your character cannot be traded or sold for any reason without our permission (and I warn you now that will very-seldom be given).

[9] Asking us to give you a character is the more sure-fire way to make sure you never get one.

[10] Please no l33t or chat speak. The longer it takes to translate what was said, the more likely I am to ignore it.

[11] Please do not advertise in this or any other Xanolonian thread without Permission from myself or Epine.

[12] If you lose your character to inactivety or get banned, or otherwise manage somehow to get your character (Or anything else purchased from Xanolonia) taken away you lose ALL rights to that character/pet/item and you will not recieve a refund.

[13] Xanolonians and the beasts/pets of Xanolonia can die. You have been warned.

[14] Posting here to get the shop owners to guild-post for any NPC or their own Xanolonians is strictly prohibited.

Xanolonia is a land of extremes for the most part. While the largest kingdoms reside in the safer and more tranquil valleys, the lands that exist outside the embrace of the mountains are much more dangerous.

Each of the Kingdoms in this world are united under the Monarchy of their chosen region. The largest and most powerful of these is Xanolonia, whose city is not just a centre of commerce but also a centre for religious practice. It's defences were believed to be unrivalled until the unfortunate death of the King and the destruction of many of its districts through rogue Dhimari magic.

[.The Cities.]
    For the most part, each of these cities is divided into four districts and if looked on from a Bird's Eye View, takes on the shape of a giant wheel. In the very centre of this wheel is the Palace/Royal grounds, while surrounding it are the Trade, Religious and Civilian Districts. All of these districts are connected through use of ornate and decorative pathways made of marble and white cobblestone.


[.Outside.]
    Just outside the city, mostly along the trading routes there are Nomads. Once the rulers of the land, these individuals are embittered by the war that took their home. Nevertheless, they live in small groups and travel between various outposts. Their dwellings are quaint and often in the form of tents as opposed to buildings that are more difficult to construct.

    That being said, they still exist in the valley.

    This region is a mystery in itself!

[.The Monarchy.]
    The recent King died, leaving his kingdom with no ready heir: He left behind a Princess and Prince, the latter being only an infant. The Princess is old enough to rule, but no one else wants to recognize her as a valid leader. The Monarchy has its own Royal army, which has a knighthood associated with it. The Royal army is responsible for safe-guarding the city, and is often patrolling, and generally policing the kingdom. There is a lot of resentment between the Royal guard and the Nomads, which causes most of the bar-room brawls.

[.The Church.]
    A strong church within the city. The head of the church is a woman of high faith and lots of following. She leads her group of Cardinals, Arch Bishops, Bishops, Vicars, and Priests. She also leads a group of Temple Knights. There is one main Church/Temple in the city, which is located near the castle. The whole of the church resides there. There is a general distrust of the nomadic tribe, which practices its own religion outside the city walls.

[.The Nomads.]
    A nomadic tribe which resides outside the city walls. The land was once theirs, though, a war many centuries ago, left them defeated. There are much bitter resentment towards the Monarchy and its royal guard. They generally distance themselves from the Church, but there is no resentment. While they reside outside of the city, they pose no threat to the citizens - they deal in a lot of goods-trading and are highly mercantile, dealing mainly in trades and shipping.

[.The Dhimari.]
    The Dhimari gift is a bloodline trait. Those with the gift will go to train under the lord of the dhimari. Not much is known about their leader.

[.Acquiring A Xanolonian.]
    Please Note, there are no Xanolonia Humanoids Available~!

    In order to acquire a humanoid from the world of Xanolonia you must first prove yourself worthy. You can acquire on of these pets through special events, custom bribes or a flatsale on the rare occasion that Spork Ninja has the time available to draw the lineart.

    Each Xanolonia is completely unique, it's lineart drawn from scratch so you can understand how time consuming it might be to make them.

    At present Xanolonian Humanoids start as adults but when breeding is instated they will have child/teen lineart as well!

    Flatsales: Are RP Flatsales, consisting of a choice of two prompts. You must answer one.
    Auctions: Highest bid wins. Generally speaking, this is for a custom!
    Bribes: Are located in the appropriate post.
    Customs: Are located in the appropriate post.


[.Acquiring A Vixie.]
    Vixie are the very first minipet to be introduced to Xanolonia. They are a pixie like creature that hatch from spheres with much love and care. They are not RP required. They are fully breedable.
