Onuris knew his mother had a darker past she kept hidden, but he never anticipated going to visit her and finding her comatose on the floor, bleeding from the head. After rushing her to the hospital and using a touch of his own powers, he found that she was still very much alive, but her coma had slipped her into a world he couldn't enter. Despite all the magic and wonder of Gaia, her mind was completely guarded from him and everyone else; he supposed that's what happened when a private person who happened to be a psion slipped into a coma.
While he was worried, he kept hope that someday the woman he regarded as his mother would wake up. As weeks passed, however, he found himself more tired than usual. Taking a sabbatical from his work, he was walking around town one day when he noticed that his hands and feet had started to become faded, almost... transparent.
It was then that he decided to run away. He loved his common law wife, Rei, and their adopted child. He loved them too much to let them see him fade away. He spent most of his time at the hospital. The doctors gave him curious looks, and he quickly learned why this was happening; Sy wasn't just asleep. She was in a different world, a world of randomness and memories and completely governed by her subconscious. And the longer she dwelled there, the more she made it her reality, the more that she became disconnected from the real world.
And that meant him.
Onuris wasn't usually the sort to run away, but he didn't want to let people who loved him so much essentially see him die, and he was harboring pain from seeing his mother sickly. What if he had been there? She could take care of herself usually, but was this karma for leaving her alone? For not being there? He left Fa'e for a long time. The more he traveled, the more he started to fade, and the more the real world seemed to dull to him. He wondered if memories were just figments of his imagination.
When Onuris was found by a good samaritan on the street, he caused much worry. After taken to several people for help, it was realized he was a Fa'e, and having no where to take him, he was taken to Fa'e HQ. Currently he drifts in and out of consciousness and he looks more like a ghost than a real person. Despite this, he is amazingly calm; he has led a good life, and if this is his fate, so be it. All visitors to Sy find the same thing; mentally, she is drifting farther and farther away.
Something must be done...
Both prompts MUST be answered. I want to see who not only can role-play Onuris well, but also has a character that he might really bond with. XD
PROMPT 1:
Onuris is hesitant to bind himself to anyone else, not that he particularly wants to die, but because he has such attachment to his "mother." What would you say to convince him to bond with another guardian? How might he respond?
PROMPT 2:
Onuris has not seen many of the Fa'e for a long time; actually, he's been absent from Fa'e HQ itself for a really long time. Considering that he at least believes he could be dying, he is more than willing to give visitors to him some advice... wanted or not. (Sometimes people might not want to hear what they need to be told). RP as Onuris with one of your characters.
