|| o1 || Keep to Gaia's ToS. Their rules are our rules, and it's as simple as that.
|| o2 || No fighting, swearing, or anything like that. Be nice to all the other members and let's keep this a clean, friendly shop. It's just a shop, after all.
|| o3 || No begging. This means begging for not only a pet, as you have to earn one through a Flatsale, Auction, Raffle, or Custom, but also no begging members for items, money, art, etc.
|| o4 || Do not argue with the staff about shop-related things. Ever. We are in charge, and that is that.
|| o5 || If you don't use your journal, you won't level up as fast. That simple.
|| o6 || If you don't Role Play, you won't level up, nor will you be allowed to keep your pet. If you win a pet in any way, you are expected to Role Play with it, or else it will be taken away. These are heavy Role Play pets, not trophies to show off how rich you are.
|| o7 || There is no limit on the Geisha you can own, but you must be able to roleplay all of them effectively!
|| o8 || Co-owning is allowed, but make sure you specify who both of the owners are. Two owners maximum.
|| o9 || No whining and complaining if you don't win.

|| Q || How does the breeding work?
|| A || Well, it's quite simple, just like with humans. Adult Geisha are able to have children although not always married. The number of children will be decided by a die, and then the parents can decide what to do with them. But, if a Geisha is married, theres a rare change that they will become pregnant without having to pay the breeding price. But, keep it in character no matter what.

|| Q || What if I want to base my pet on something already taken or something I made up myself, like some of the current pets?
|| A || You might be able to do that, but it’ll be much more expensive or you can bribe one of the crew.

|| Q || How about a Pet Trade?
|| A || No thank you.

|| Q || Cosplay//edits for a pet trade from my shop?
|| A || Again, it depends. PM Geisha Dreams about it.

|| Q || How much are flatsales?
|| A || They are always exactly 15k.

|| Q || How frequent are flatsales//customs//auctions?
|| A || Flatsales tend to be once a month, and Auctions and Customs are at random times, as are Raffles.

|| Q || What if customs are closed and I want one now?
|| A || Send a PM to Geisha Dreams attempting to bribe her. It would have to be well over the base amount, and there's no guarantee that we will say yes.

Everything is just as I feared.

This world, my world of Gaia, is losing its interest in the ancient past that has brought its mystery and lore to the kind people of Gaia. The Ancient past of The Geisha, who stop men in their tracks with a single glance. For she, the Geisha is a woman or man who is highly skilled in the arts of dancing, singing, musical instruments, a variety of ceremonies, and gifted with conversation that makes people want them, or want to be just like them. Has this idea faded from our world, or is there still hope left?
But what could I, a simple Okaa-san of a fading Okiya do? How could someone as simple as me do something as large as this, for that is what I do wonder. But then I realized that there might be a way, I knew that this was something that I couldn’t do, but the people of Gaia could do this for themselves.

What if I would send out a few individuals to go and search the streets of Gaia for young girls and boys, who wish to become something inspiring and lovely, someone like a Geisha. Would you be able to become their sponsors, friends, and companion? Would you help lead them to the journey of becoming a Geisha, and one day have children who would become Geisha, like there mother or father? Would our history live on, and would we have the chance to go and tell our stories?

So now, come and enter our halls and help our world live on. Bring back the Dreams of the Geisha.

Note: As for the sponsor, it's pretty much you. It's the term for the person who pays for the maid to enter an Okiya. It's just where you'll pay for a maid that you select, and pay the price ((Flatsale price)) for him or her to enter the okiya. It could be where you'll be talking to their family, or where you'll find him or her looking at the Okiya with hope in his her eyes. It's up to you.

This is where your journey begins. In Geisha Dreams, once you have acquired your own maid, Maiko, or otherwise, you will be allowed to join the Geisha Dreams guild, where you will Role Play your new pet. It is a heavy Role Playing guild, so if you are not into Role Playing, then please, do not try for a pet of your own.

In Geisha Dreams, you will start out at one of the stages, usually a maid or Maiko, and progress through the stages to become a Geisha, just as one would in the real world.

Along the way, you will make friends, and enemies. You will learn new things. You will encounter hardships, and sometimes, things will seem as if they will never look up. But as one who dreams of becoming a Geisha, you must keep your chin up.

The Kataki Okiya is the second Okiya opened in Gaia, and is well known for its beautiful Geisha's and the hot spring they bathe at. Though it is also notorious for its drama and problems. The Okiya's debt has all the geisha and their apprentice(s) working very hard. In the midst of all this, romance though, has found some way to blossom.

Every Geisha starts off as a maid, around the age of ten to fifteen. Usually your pet will start off as a maid or Maiko, more commonly a maid.

There's the rare occasion when you will be able to have an Apprentice or Geisha to start out with.

Each Geisha is original, so each will be be drawn and colored differently, instead of drawn straight off of a base.

And there are more rare, undiscovered stages that advanced roleplayers can get. Some are as followed: Head Geisha, Imouto of the Okaa-san, Patron, etc.

Also, remember that just like Real Geisha's, if a Maiko or Apprentice gets their Onee-san/ Onii-san too angry then they're able to be removed from the Apprentice position. This can occur for many reasons, so remember to be respectful to your Older Sibling.

...|| The Stages ||...

|| Maid || Maids are on the lowest end of the totem pole here. As a simple maid, your days are spent doing your chores and whatever tasks the older Geisha ask of you. Life isn't so easy as a maid, but if you do your work well, you will be rewarded.

|| Maiko || Maiko are the first step to becoming a Geisha. The word "Maiko" translates closely to the term "dancing girls", and indeed they do dances. You will still be given chores, but you will also start your training and will be moved to nicer living quarters. You'll now be allowed to leave the Okiya with an Geisha to help her/him study.

|| Apprentice || This stage is where a Maiko has gotten an Elder Sister ((or Brother)) Geisha. She'll began to go with her Elder Sister ((or Brother)) everywhere and always dress up in full makeup and clothing. For males, you'll began to train in much more difficult jobs and wear kimono's that are more elaborate, But most do not wear the Apprentice make-up of the females. They end up studying their trades from anywhere from four months to a year, depending on their strengths.

|| Geisha || A geisha is trained in the arts of dancing, singing, musical instruments, a variety of ceremonies, and conversation. They are expected to entertain at high-class parties as well as at public recitals.

|| Elder Geisha || The Elder Geisha is often more similar to the Head Geisha, and help to pay for the food and shelter of Maiko's and maids. They attend high-class parties, which they entertain at, as well as at public recitals. Note - Elder Geisha's are allowed to take two Apprentice's on at one time.

...|| Requirements for Each Stage ||...

* = These are different ways for your character to have their Mizuwage ceremony. If you would not like to roleplay the ceremony, since some might find it unappealing, there are substitutes available such as gaining fans or working off your debut. Please PM the mule for more information.

Flatsales will feature at least two pets, and will cost 15k each. They will require you to write a prompt for Role Playing. The longer and more literate, the better.

...|| Auctions ||...

Auctions are generally decided by the artist. However, there are two yearly ones. The first is during the Christmas season, the second is at the end of May. Auctions are usually cosplay or a rare breed. All starting bids are 10k and the auto buys are usually a 2003 donation item.

...|| Raffles ||...

Raffles will continue until the spots are full or the raffle is over. Sometimes there will be free raffles, but usually the tickets will be about 150 gold each, and the winner will be chosen by a completely random draw.

Customs are probably the easiest to explain. With customs, you're able to decide how your pet looks. They cost a lot more than the usual pets, but the truth is, they're definitely worth it.

Note: Prices are for a full growing pet, a lower price may be negotiated for a pet starting at a higher form

First, you provide a simple description and possibly a reference, but the artist has the right to stray from what you say. About two weeks before each growth, you'll tell us how to grow yours. -note- These can only be humans.

First, you provide a simple description and possibly a reference, but the artist has the right to stray from what you say. About two weeks before each growth, you'll tell us how to grow yours. -note- These can be any non-human species (ex. Kitsune, elves, angels, etc.).

If you have an OC, please say exactly how you want the character to look through the years. This includes its animal familiar, and it's final form. We try not to stray, but we may. This package can be either human or non and enables you to have more control over your character than a normal package.

A bribe will have to be well over the base amount, so you'd better have enough money to seriously bribe the artist you want. Pet trades just depends on what the pet is. You'll have to PM Geisha Dreams about it. The same thing goes for art trades.

Once in a while, there will be different kinds of events going on. Some will be around the site, and include things like special Auctions and Raffles where you can win cool special breeds or Cosplay pets. Others will be strictly in the Role Play, and you will be able to get things like familiars from them, or they will be special times for the different Okiya's to get together. Either way, an event means loads of fun for anyone who participates in them!

These you can gain by only three ways. Either the very rare auction, Customs, or by Role Playing events. In Role Playing events it depends on what's going on in the Role Play that will decide who gets the familiars. Familiars are basically pets that go in your cert, and you get to Role Play with them as well. They will usually be animals like dogs or cats, or sometimes there will be special types. It depends on the event.

Once your Character has reached the Geisha (and occasionally Apprentice) stage, the ability to breed is open. Of course, you can either skip the ‘sex’ part in the RP or do it over PM’s, the choice is yours alone. But, just because they’re intimate doesn’t mean they’ll have a child right away. There are a few rules to follow.

Breeding Rules:

- You may not have a child without both parents' consent.
- It is much harder for non-humans to get pregnant. Humans may breed as many times as they like, but the same is not true for other races. Childbirth may in fact kill or permanently injure some races so be careful on what you decide to do.
- Please wait until your child is in the infant stage before trying for another breeding slot.
- You may keep children or give them to someone else, you may not sell them. If you neglect your child, it will be taken from you and placed in foster care.
- Which parent gets to 'own' the child is entirely up to you, but we suggest you decide before it's born. Joint ownership is possible, but don’t complain that only one of you gets to RP it in the thread.
- Same sex pairings may have children in the following ways; magic can enable pregnancy were it would not normally happen ((ex: mpreg)) or genetic engineering in which a third party may be used if consent is given ((this must also be approved by the breeder))

Stages

Breeding involves the addition of several new stages to your child's growth. Depending on how much you roleplay this can be anywhere from three to all eight new stages. They are as follows:

Pregnancy - an image of the expectant parents. It can be of either both parents, or just the mother. (Takes two rl months)
Newborn - The Baby is newborn, and certed for the parents. ((It's up to you to decide how to roleplay the children) (Takes 2 rl months)
Toddler – Your child is now a toddler, and getting more mature, he/she will now start to walk and move around more. Often Geisha's have maids watch there kinds for them. (Takes 1 rl year to pogress unless certain reasons)
Child – The stage where they’ll start off there training as a Maid. They’ll increase in rank and age like other geisha’s after this. (They may transfer to a new Okiya at this time)

Prices

Breeding prices start at 200k, as for the amount of kids you’ll have, The Mule will roll a four sided dice to find out if it's one, two, three children. As for the genders those will be chosen by the Artist and Crew, Something random that will be told to you if your character goes to see the doctor.

Note- When rolled and it come out with a:

1= 1 baby.
2= 2 babies.
3= 3 babies.
4= 1 baby.

-Note- If you want to have more than three kids, then you’ll have to try to bribe one of the artist to do that artwork for you.
