Welcome, welcome, welcome!

As you can clearly read, this is "For You, Only"! It's a very simple charity in many ways. We don't want to bore you too much, but let us explain something first of all, one of the largest things you need to know!

We are the kind of charity that will only take a limited amount of Quests on, and will stick with you until you have completed it. However, this does not mean we will pay for your entire quest! You have to work just as hard as we do if you want our assistance, and we do offer many ways to do that if you're not sure how! (Though generally keeping an up-to-date thread and all is good... We'll explain more later!)

Please, read these very clearly! They explain a lot of things you need to know!

1. Have a Quest Thread!

Although we know a lot of people prefer to Quest via a link in their signature, for reasons explained in number 2, we'll only be accepting those with actual Threads for their Questing. Although some of those who do have signature Quests may get small donations for hanging about, or being good people, they are not our main priority.

2. Keep Updated!

This is a really, really big thing for us! Your Thread doesn't need to be something totally out of this world, but we do expect it to be kept up. Basically, what we mean is, you'd better be updating how much Gold you have earned, and seem to be actively Questing in order for us to continue our donations. Although we are a Charity, we don't like just giving Gold to people who don't even have the gall to work for themselves too! (If we don't see some form of update within about 48 hours we will not send a donation until we do! We understand it's hard to update your Quest if you have a "Updating every X amount", but it's also annoying when we've donated a ton to someone who doesn't state this, and also doesn't update! So PLEASE, keep updated!)

3. Active Gaian Member!

We prefer people who have had a Gaian account for at least 3 months time, since this means you will be around and the donations will actually be useful. We work hard for our money and want to make sure it's not just handed out without consideration!

4. Fill out a Form!

5. Post the Form in the Thread!

Any forms received via PM will be ignored, so make sure you post it here in the thread!

6. Be Patient!

Not only do we have a limited amount of slots open, but we do have other lives outside of Gaia (although not much). If for some reason we do not update quickly, it probably means we are busy doing something, but we will get to it! Same goes if you don't get your promised donation on the alotted date, it will be sent, just a bit later! But we will do our best to always send, and handle, things properly!

7. Check In!

This sort of goes along with the "Active" rule, but is a little different too. We want people who are working hard on their quests, and we'd like it if you swung by the thread when you are on so we can send your donation to you. Otherwise, we have to go through your profile to see when you last logged on and if you seemed to be posting to help raise your Gold count. If we don't see
you for a very long time, we'll remove you from the
list and help someone else who is around and working toward their Goal! (If for some reason you'll be gone, say family issues, vacation, work or school going blooey!, let us know... We're really cool and we understand! biggrin ) So yep, try and check in, okie? Okay!

8. One Item at a Time!

As you probably noticed in the Form for receiving a donation, we ask which item you are questing for (and a general price)! This is the item we are agreeing to help you achieve, and we will do all in our power to manage it! When this item is complete, please let us know so that we can remove your Quest from the list, and start on someone else's. If you happen to have another Quest you wish to do after, please resubmit your form, and you will be added to any available slot, or to the Waiting List if none are open. Failure to notify us, or at least notate it somewhere on your Quest thread, will result in us no longer helping you! We do like helping, but we want to help as many as we can!

QUESTOR CHECKLIST

Due to multiple issues which have arisen over the course of the time "For You, Only... Charity" has been open, we are now updating our rules with an extra list to explain why a person may get a check by their name and why they may be removed from the Active Quests lists.

Please read all this very carefully, as we will no longer be as leniant due to people seeming to take advantage of our generosity, whether this is so or not.

Thread Updates
-Your thread is the way we keep track of your Quest's progress, and must remain updated. Here are our Guidelines. Failure to adhere to these will earn you a strike by your name-

- A thread update should be done every 2 days, unless you have otherwise told us that you will not be online. Since we send 500G a day, there is no reason you should not update your "Gained" bar
- If a thread does not show an update on the 2nd day, you will be sent a PM notice stating to update your thread. Failure to do so by day 3 will earn you a "X" (Strike) by your name
- We will only PM and warn you the first time. After this, you should know better than to let your thread remain un-updated for long periods of time. This is to avoid constantly having to send out notices.

Online Status
-Basically this is when you last logged in, date-wise. We do keep track of it. Here are our guidelines. Failure to adhere to these will earn you a strike by your name-

- Although life is a pain, we expect to see you online at least once every 3 days. (This is considered void if you've informed us you will not be online for some reason)
- If you end up having computer issues, we need to know ASAP. This means that if we see you log in days before you let us know, we're less likely to believe you, and more likely to give you a strike. Whereas if you show up, say you're having issues, then don't really show up again... We'll understand.
- If you do not show up by day 4, a "X" will be added by your name

Online Status (Accepting Trades)
- This is abut the daily trade of 500G. Here are our guidelines. Failure to adhere to these will earn you a strike by your name-

- We expect you to accept your donation trade at least once every 3 days. (This is considered void if you've informed us you will not be online for some reason)
- If you do not acccept the trade by day 4, a "X" will be added by your name

Working your own Quest!
-As you know, this Charity is based around helping those who "Are working hard at their quests". This means that we donate to those who are actively questing, not just taking donations, and spending their other gold however they please. This is one of our biggest stipulations, and herein are guidelines to be followed. Failure to adhere to these will earn you a stirke by your name.-

- When you update your "Gained" bar, it should always show more than just what we have donated to you
- If we see that you have only updated your "Gained" bar with our donations for 3 or more days, you will be given an "X" by your name

After 3 X's, you will be removed from the Active Quests, and added to a special list of people "On Thin Ice".

Although you will be able to re-apply for a donation when slots are open, after being added to the "Thin Ice" list 3 times, we will no longer help you... Ever!

I will add to these rules if I see further problems. Although we are a Charity, we are a Charity who opperates on the lines of helping those who help themselves, and our rules are not suggestions, but actual rules that need to be followed!

We know that not everyone wants to just be donated to. Some people prefer to work hard in order to get their Gold. And thus that is what this area is about. We'll offer up various jobs here, or if someone has a job which needs to be done, they can post on the Forum and we'll add it in!

Bump the Thread

Yep, bumping! The old classic way to earn gold! But in this case, we're hiring you to help keep the thread up, while paying you gold to help with your quest! You can do this together with a Request, or you can do this seperately if the spaces are open. So, here are the rules and regulations of this.

1. We only have 3 spots open at any time, and each slot is a first-come-first serve thing!
2. You may only do this once. After you have done so, you are not allowed to again. (Continuing the bump is cool but won't earn you gold)
3. We're hiring you for "500 Bumps" and at 3G a piece. This means you will get 1500G after you have finished
4. If you decide you no longer wish to bump, let us know, and we will pay you for what you have bumped (at the 3G price) and open a slot back up
5. If you wish to bump, please post this form into the Forum:

6. Wait for your name to show up on the list
7. Make sure to number all of your bumps! We will not do it for you!

If you like playing Word Bump, and have so many credits you don't know what to do with them, here's your solution! You can do this together with a Request, or seperately if the spaes are open. So, here are the rules and regulations of this.

Doctorate's Credit - 3G Per Credit

4. No, it doesn't matter in what amount you send any of these items. And yes, you can be choosy if yo want on sending us things. We don't mind smile
5. If you decide you are done "colleging", let us know, and we'll pay for what has been sent to us (at the appropriate price) and open a slot back up

Have a friend who is Questing, but won't actively ask for help? Or know someone who is working hard, but may need an extra hand? We'll give 1000G to that person if you follow these rules!

Follow the regular rules, please! It makes it easier to keep track of everything!

4. No Opting Listed!

If the person is already on the list for us to assist (wayyy back up there), please do not opt them for a donation. This is just messy, especially since we are already helping them! Besides, although appreciated, they won't be handed extra gold!

Well, this isn't REALLY a contest, though we may hand the largest donator some free tickets for the lotto when we run it, or maybe do something else (you know us, and there is a reason we're always trying to raise cash for the charity... we keep spending it on you guys heart )

That said, here's the first official "For You, Only... Charity Quest!"

Between now and November 1, we'll be collecting items for purchase at the Prize & Joy, starting at the lowest priced items, and going up until we either can't buy anymore, or until November comes!

Thin Ice List

This list is for people who have violated the rules and accumulated 3 Strikes. They must re-apply if they want assistance again. If they show up here 3 times, they will not be allowed another donation, ever.

If you want to know the reason you were kicked, do mail! We just had an incident where, due to what I think is a glitch on Gaia, I removed someone, and gave them a strike for no reason! Both our logs of the exchange were different, and I am more than willing to work it out!
