Thank you so much for catching that. I've been coming here as often as possible to check up the links so I haven't been paying much attention to my bumps. The link in my favor at the moment is the mater care just because a click donates 2 cents, 1 cent per sponsor. That's such a small amount but its definitely better then nothing and I especially try to click that one. I'm so glad that your doing this and that people bump so more people can see this thread rise in the CB and hopefully gain interest in these issues.

So I totally love this concept. I'm always looking for ways to help with anything and everything that I can, as a minor who can't really go to many places. It's so great that the Internet facilitates a medium for change of even the most seemingly infinitesimal amount, because with so many people accessing the web every day the amount of good it can do is absolutely astronomical when you think about it, and this thread is an amazing way to make people aware of these things ^_^.

There were two websites I used to go on that helped charitys, one was a search web and you could choose the charity you wanted to donate to and the other was a snowmaking site which donated to something, but I can't remember what. I wish I remember the links to them.

This is really great, and so simple to do. 3nodding Yours should be a top thread to get more recognition, its so easy to look the other way and refuse to believe its happening. So many people today are apathetic to the problems around them. I sponsor a dog through donations in the humane society and its great to see those little postcards come in the mail with how he's doing. I've also been a vegetarian for 3 years. I'd like to do all I an to help, the animals and the environment.

I wanna be as great as Angelina Jolie. If I ever become that rich, I would definately do my part for the world and adopt some babies. But I don like, want to be an actor or anything. I'd probably choose to donate to LDCs and the UN rather than specific charities. Umm I've never really thought about animals though. I like them, but animal chairty doesn't usually catch my attention.

And how are you guaranteed that the money from the advertisers is going to get to the charities?

If you want to donate, you're better off writing the check yourself. At least then you know it'll get to the foundation. Still not certain of what they'll use it for, but at least you know for a fact it's going to them.

the charities issue statements on how much money they receive from the advertisers,
and this is a way for people to help without having to give money/ as well as giving money so the charities benefite more

if i spend 5 minutes clicking on the websites everytime i start up the internet (my homepage) i will help, not many people could write a cheque out every day i f some people make a few more clicks today it was worthwhile making this topic
