Welcome to my first fan fiction contest, Twelve Angry Betas. In truth, you will not be facing twelve angry beta readers as your judges, only three people who have offered their services on Gaia as Beta Readers, will be looking at your entries. Now, with that out of the way, let's get to the good part...

Below are the Rules and Contest Information of Twelve Angry Betas. I shall be as through as possible, but if I have missed anything, please contact my main account, Lorelei Yeager. This account is a mule, specifically made to hold the prizes for the contest without Lorelei spending them...

    1. This contest is a fan fiction contest, it will be for fan fictions based off of Anime / Manga, Books, and TV Shows. If you are unsure about if your fandom is in any of these three categories', then please click on the links. I am using ff.net's listing, because it will be easier for the judges.

    2. There is a 100 Gold entry fee, but it is not for me. As Lorelei Yeager has fronted the prizes herself, she does not have enough to pay the judges. Therefore, the 100 Gold entry fee will be sent to the judges' mule Luna Dolci.

    3. All entries are to be PMed to the mule Luna Dolci with the title

    4. You may also post your entries in this thread as well, but the judges must have the entries in their mule account for the entry to be judged. If people also post their entries in this thread, then I'd like to see some criticism and comments of everyone's work by other people.

    5. This thread has a Three Strikes You're Out policy. If you cause problems, we will warn you once. If you cause problems a second time, we will warn you again. If you still cause problems a third time, we will kick you out of the contest, and you will not get your fee back.

    6. You may send any fan fiction to the judges that is Rated PG-13, above, or below. However, stories that are above PG-13 cannot be posted in this thread. If you have a story that is PG-13 or below, you may post it in this thread. Our maximum limit for stories is Rated R.

    7. Please place all warnings on stories that are PG-13 or above. That includes Lemons, Lime, etc.

    8. There are prizes for only first, second, and third place. First Place is a Jan 2007 Letter. Second Place is 11,000 Gold, and Third Place is 6,000 Gold.

    9. This contest runs from January 11, 2007 until Feb. 14, 2007.

    10. A panel of three judges, all of whom are Beta Readers, will be judging the entries in this contest.

    11. Only one entry is allowed per person. This is to give everyone a fair chance at winning, and allows the judges to deal with this contest and Real Life.

    12. I would prefer that those who wish to participate send the judges one-shots. However, if you want to send in a multi-chapter, then it can ONLY be the first three pages of the story.

    13. You may enter an older piece of fan fiction, or you can write up something new for the judges. Either way, you should send the judges your best work.

    14. If you are doing a one-shot, then please keep in mind the three page rule.

    8a. On the front page, where a reserved spot once was listed.

    9q. When you say only three pages of a multi-chapter, then what do you mean by that?
    9a. What I mean is the first three pages of your story in MS Word, Times New Roman font, size 12 font, and the words are to be the color black. I do not want the judges to have a hard time reading your story.

    10q. Do we have to give you a new story? Or can it be something we've already written?
    10a. Nope; it can be new or something you've previously written.

    11q. What type of genre should our stories be?
    11a. Any are allowed, but they must comply with all the rules of this contest.
