7-20-08: Okay, so a few updates need to be addressed. For one, my move. I will most definitely be gone Friday through Sunday, because those are days we'll be loading the truck, driving 12 hours, and unloading the truck. I will likely not be here for much of the days for this week and the week after my move, but I should have time to drop in to say hey at the very least.

Also, I asked someone to work a bit on the elders, reshaping them, making them look less... terrible. xP While the sketches are excellent, they didn't quite match the other lines, so I asked him to reshape the others. As a result, I'll be relining our reworked lines, and you guys have the option of having me shade them in either the hard cell shading we have now, or in my own soft cell shading style. I can tell you I'm much better with the soft cell, but it's up to you guys none the less.

I can promise that either style you guys want, I will be redoing all of my colorings on the new lines so they all match. I can't stand nonmatching pets when people switch lines. xP Anywho, to vote, please pm my main account, Aysina, and entitle it "Shading Vote".

In any event, as soon as I redo the lines and shading, we'll be having our event, and right after/during I will be sending out warnings via pm to people who haven't been around.

7-10-08: New story, updated front page, moved owner's list, new familiars, and a few pets have been rehomed. When I come back, I do it with a bang. o.o Moving in a couple weeks, so Chaos Theories will be doing a flatsale soonish to appease the masses. And remember that when I come back, we'll be having a bit of an event... ninja
7-21-07:Okay, so from now until september, my time online is going to be limited to mostly weekdays. I'm leaving in about two hours to go camping with my friends, I'll be back monday afternoonish. Then this Friday is rock n ride night at the fair. [Basically opening night belongs to teens so it's an absolute blast.] Then first thing next saturday morning me and my mum are leaving for my aunt's house to just chill for a few days since it's my mum's birthday on the 29th. And I think we have a few other things planned in August, like a trip to spokane the weekend before school starts.

At any rate, I'm going to be really busy, so I will do my best to get to growings on time to those who deserve them in between my trips. n_n

6-27-07:Okay, so I've basically decided to simply earn a bunch of gold and find someone who can imitate the lines of the elders for me. Hopefully, even if Gamer isn't willing to shade the new ones instead of the originals, she'll let me pay her more to do this.

Aaand, we have a fourth of July event coming up! Hopefully with those proceeds we can finially buy a guild. whee
6-7-07:We're back! I'm really sorry we lost our net, but we got it back a couple weeks ago, though I stayed away until I got my finals over with because I knew I wouldn't hae a whole lot of time to be here. At any rate, I'm working to get caught up on growings and stuff, so please be patient!
4-15-07:The shop and I are going on hiatus. D:

Unfortunatly, me and my mum are really tight on money right now... And now taxes are due, and we don't have the money. So, in an attempt to keep us from drowning so to speak, we're getting rid of a bunch of non-essential things, like the internet. As soon as we've got the money to spare again, I will have my net back.

I will upload all growings I have done, plus the certs that I need to do them, into my email. I'll do growings from a friend's, but even then, they may be late. I'm really sorry for this guys.

ALSO!! Kesmi has been appointed thread manager, basically to make sure the fights, drama, etc. stay out of the thread. Listen to her or you'll make me angry. D<

Ohitekah Angeni plunged through the forest like a wraith, her legs moving as fast as they could beneath her. Her breathing was steady as she moved silently through the forest towards her destination, knowing the one who loved her best would be there waiting for her. She stopped at the edge of the tree line and put her hands on her knees, hoping to get her breathing in check. When she looked up, he was there grinning at her, and all she could do was grin back and throw herself at him in a hug. Unalii wrapped his massive arm around her back, hugging her in return until she pulled away.

She sighed, turning around and leaning back against him. “So where were we yesterday? I think we’ve already covered the Dyani, the Enola, and then we spoke with the Mahkah… Perhaps we should try speaking with the Mingan? They might be less inclined to go through with it, but perhaps with a bit of convincing…” she trailed off, looking up to her friend, who merely nodded reassuringly. Angeni knew there was no way he would allow these carnivorous creatures to hurt her. She moved away from him, and he followed her silently as she re-entered the forest, heading north to the lands where Ohitekah Angeni knew the Mingan roamed.

As they walked through the silent forest, Angeni talked about everything back at home, her companion laughing or nodding at all the right intervals, though he never said a word. When they got close she quieted, not wanting to disturb any of the wolves, except their leader Otaktay whom they needed to speak to. Before they were within 20 feet, it seemed that they had silently been surrounded by the Mingan, their dark silver leader stepping out of his place in the shadows where their golden eyes glowed. She stepped forward towards Otaktay, away from Unalii, and knelt before the wolf ahead of her. She heard her friend bow behind her, and then he stepped forward to her side as he began speaking to the old Mingan.

Angeni moved away from them for a few moments, not too awfully interested in the conversation since she wasn’t one for politics. She was only there as a representative of sorts. Unalii tapped her shoulder to break her from her trance, as she’d been staring at a pair of golden eyes that somehow stood out from the others and hadn’t been paying attention. He shook his head no, and she sighed, reconsidering, before whispering in her companion’s ear. “Tell him that the race of the Mahkah have considered taking up the offer, should another carnivorous race choose to do so first. “ She smiled at the end, hoping to give her friend confidence as he turned back to negotiations. When she turned back around, that certain set of golden eyes was nowhere to be found. Then suddenly, the rest of pack’s eyes faded into the darkness and Angeni turned around to see Unalii and the Mingan leader bowing to each other as Otaktay left.

She smiled at her friend as they began to walk again, back to the south end of the forest. “I take it the negotiations went well?” He laughed and just shook his head in acknowledgment, and before long they were back in rhythm, loquacious Angeni filling any possible silences that might result. They finally reached Unalii’s home, where she was having him stay at night when she couldn’t be there. “I have to go now. They’ll be wondering why I’m taking so long, and I have to speak with Hotah Kwahu about our negotiations with the Mingan.” He smiled halfheartedly, and nodded, embracing her again. She finally turned, streaking back through the forest with her hair whipping behind her. Halfway back to the wolves, she turned right and sprinted until she was only a half mile from her tribe’s encampment.

She let her breathing slow, knowing her labored breathing could attract the chief to check on her, and wouldn’t hesitate to ask why she had been gone longer than necessary. She had no desire to answer those questions. She smelled the fires burning as she entered the encampment, and she moved between the teepees towards the back where Hotah did his work. Outside, she called to him, “Hotah Kwahu? May I enter?” He didn’t respond, instead just sending the male Dyani he had just gotten finished with out. The deer bowed his head to her before darting off into the forest, and Angeni went inside. The black haired man looked up and smiled. “How did things go? Have the Mingan decided to trust us enough to allow us to bestow our gifts upon them?” Angeni smiled and nodded, though she was eager to finish with the visit, knowing full well that the normal conversation was about to take place.

He suddenly stopped grinding the herbs he’d been working on, and his smile faded as he looked at her. “Angeni, I don’t want to presume, but I don’t understand how you keep… communicating with the animals around here. It’s very sweet what you’re doing, giving those animals who are worthy the chance to live very special lives with special powers. I don’t mind bestowing them with these abilities at all, you understand.” He fidgeted uneasily, not at all comfortable talking about this. “Look, all I’m saying, is that if you have contact with any Sibael, you need to stop. If the chief finds out, he won’t tolerate it. Sibael are as large, or even bigger than a horse, and most are feral—lethal. Do I need to remind you that it was a Sibael that killed your parents?” He was ashamed at bringing it up, but Angeni looked defiant and he needed to break her of that.

She looked back to him, her eyebrows knitted in frustration. “If I did have a Sibael, you should be thankful I didn’t tell you since you’d be obligated to tell the chief,” she said, a sharp edge in her voice. She stood, and began to leave the tent, but she stopped at the last moment. “The first of the wolves will be here in the morning,” she muttered on her way out. She walked silently to her own teepee, ignoring the calls of greeting from those around her. Angeni quickly fed and watered her horse outside her tent, before disappearing inside to lay upon the bear skin blanket. She sighed, her frustration coming off her in waves. Yes, some Sibael are dangerous, she thought scathingly. Unalii is not one of them.

|Flatsales|

There are a couple ways we conduct flatsales here. All flatsale rules apply.
1. Speed Sale::The easiest type we have, in a speed sale I will post "GO!" in big pink letters and you will post up the flatsale form. Simple and easy.
2. Flaffle::There will be a set amount of time in which you can post in bolded red "I would like to enter the flaffle!", along with the order of cubs you'd like. [which one you'd like most to least] When the time is up, the flaffle will be closed, and I will roll for the winners. The winner that gets chosen first, will get his first choice of cub, etc, etc down the winners list. If you win, then you may post the flatsale form for your cub. <33

2::We don't hold pets.
3::First come, first served.
4::Flatsales will last until all the pets have been sold.
5::You may only get one pet per flatsale.
6::You have 24 hours to send the flatsale price of 5k.

Raffles here will normally last about a week.
Price of tickets will be 100g and there are an unlimited number of tickets you may buy.
We also may do newbie raffles once in a while.
Specific raffle rules will vary so make sure you look carefully.

Auctions are generally reserved for special editions and sub-species.
There will be usually be an autobuy for auctions. It may vary, though.
Starting bid will regularly be 4k.
No drama, no fighting, no trying to get people to bid or not bid. Ever.
Silent auctions may be used as well.
Specific auction rules will vary so make sure you look carefully.

Unisex stages are in violet, females are in pink, males are in blue.


Cub:Aww, look at that! Your baby Sibael has arrived. These days, it's going to be very lethargic, sleeping much of the time and awaking mainly to eat. They do have occasional bursts of energy when they get plenty of sleep, but they don't last long. Cubs weigh only a few pounds upon their birth, but grow to about 20 pounds before they grow out of this stage.
Child:Well it looks as if your pet has grown! Not by much, I'm afraid, but at this stage, your bundle of joy is going to be awake more often and have a more normal sleeping pattern. They will be naturally curious, wanting to explore every aspect of their environments. Good luck keeping this 200 pound bundle of joy out of mischeif!
Youth:Your Sibael is almost fully grown! At half their adult weight--about 1000 lbs.--your Sibael is now learning just what it can do with that kind of weight. They are coming into their personalities now, and need lots of social interaction. Youths are constantly learning, as they are now away from their mothers, and you, for much of the time. They are also able to begin looking for future mates!
Adults:Look at that! All of your hard work is paid off, and your Sibael is now fully grown. It can now find it's mate, and breed if it wants. Congratulations! The most common weight for an adult Sibael is 1700-1900 lbs, but they can get up to 2200 lbs. My best frame of reference for you is a Clydesdale or Shire horse--both are tall like normal horses, but much thicker.

Regular Shop FAQs
What are these?
These are Sibael. Pronounced: Sih-bay-ehl. It's singular and plural too, like sheep and fish.
How much do they cost?
At flatsales, cubs cost 5k. Sibael obtained other ways may cost more or less.
Why do they cost so much?
They don’t really, many other pets cost more.
How many can I get?
As many as you want!

Do they speak to other Sibael?
Yes, they do.
Do they act like common felines? [purring, roaring, omnivorous]
Yes, though they're more a mix between house cats and and wild cats. They have a gentle side but they are wild animals.
Can they speak to their owners?
In formal rp they are out in the wild, so no. In ooc rp, sure.
Are they magical?
Nope, not at all. The Natives who bestow their magical gifts upon many of the familiars in the area are fearful of the Sibael and have not, and will not, bestow those gifts upon the Sibael unless the majority of the owners here want that. n_n
What about the Natives? What are they like?
Well, the Natives are human and have been on the same land that the Sibael occupy for many generations. They cannot understand Sibael, but the Sibael can understand them perfectly well. Each race hates the other out of fear--humans have weapons, Sibael are giant cats with big claws. x33 There is a place to make a Native persona in the guild if you like!
What kind of place do they live in? [a grassy area, near the ocean?]
Yeah, I really need to make a map.... xD
But until then, I'll simply say that there is a bit of everything so you can really go no wrong in setting.
Who do I pm if I have a problem with someone in the thread?
Pm The Sibael if it's a non staff member.
Pm Aysina if it's a staff member.

Breeding FAQs
If we have a perma teen, will you make an exception to the 'only adults' breeding rule?
No. Wild animals don't breed before they are adults and neither do sibael.

With the number of cubs you can get through a breeding, what if you roll a 6, but you can only pay for 3 or 4?
You've actually got a lot of options here.
One, make sure you have the gold before hand. It's simple, and then if you don't get the highest amount, you have leftover, so it's all good.
Second, you could have owners of the extras lined up beforehand who are willing and able to pay for their cub. I highly recommend this because then you are not paying for someone else's pet.
Third, you can hold an rp contest and make it a rule of entering that whomever wins must be able to pay the cost of their sibael.
Lastly, you can relinquish the extra cubs back to the shop, and I will distribute them myself.

Rules:
1::If a slot opens up, to claim it you must state or pm that you claim/take the slot. If you just say something like you wonder if it's still open, that doesn't count and someone else can claim it.
2::Co-owning is not allowed with the exceptions of cosplays, pets needing extensive line edits, and rares.
3::It may not be complete immediatly. Don't be pushy! We all have lives too.
4: biggrin on't argue about what is complicated coloring and what is not. If it will take me 30 minutes, I'm not going to charge the extra amount, okay? I don't lie like that.
5::When you get a slot, send your custom form to The Sibael with the colorist's name in the title, along with the word "custom".

Breeding Cost:
Varies depending on how many you rolled for. Each cub costs 4k.

Breeding Rules:
1:When you decide to have your pet breed, make sure there is a slot open and if there is, please pm the breeding form to The Sibael. If you get the spot, you will get a reply.

2:When figuring out how many cubs you will get, one of the owners of the mating pair will do a random number. These are the first and last numbers in the randomizer that you will use [and thusly the amounts of cubs you will recieve].
Non-rp Sibael::1-2
Rp Sibael [First batch/Lifemates]::2-6
Rp Sibael [Other]:: 2-3

The Rp Sibael [First batch/Lifemates] roll is for those Sibaels who have never had cubs before, or are with the Sibael they plan to/are lifemated with, and who rp with each other. The Rp Sibael [Other] roll is for those Sibael who have Sibael with many partners rather than staying with one mate for life.

3:If you have a female, you can choose to have her mated with a rogue male, in which case she will automatically have only one cub. This means that the resulting cub will have some markings of the mother, and some from a wild male not in the shop.

4:Same sex breedings are allowed through extensive rp. [Must have links.]

5:Inbreeding is not allowed. We did allow ONE instance of inbreeding siblings, but this was a one time deal, because I [Aysina] had given away the shop, and the person I gave it to never did anything, but did say she would allow the breeding. I felt bad saying no when another owner said yes, so I allowed it with restrictions. This will NEVER be allowed again.

6:There is currently no limit to how many times the pets can breed, though females may only breed once every two months to leave time for her to recover. Males may only breed once a month.

7:Only adults may breed, though they may begin 'dating' in the teen stage.

8:Each owner may recieve only one of the offspring, and if they cannot decide who will choose first, I will roll for you.

9:The cubs you don't want for yourselves may be given away, be given away in an rp contest, or relinquished to the shop for me to distribute.
