CHOCHIN LANTERN The Chochin lantern is just like any paper lantern, it is very fragile. You must never get it wet, never light a candle in it that will burn too hotly, and never get it near sharp objects.
AWAKENING The lantern has weathered over the time you've cared for it, fear not, it's just the inner spirit of the Chochinobake trying to get out. The spirit has caused the rips and tears in the paper and if you look you can see the face. This stage is a little more durable then the new lantern, and if you listen carefully you can hear the Chochinobake as it speaks to you, depending on it's essence and how you've cared for it it may be very sweet or very mean.
CHILD[not shown] A child Chochinobake is just like a human child in the sense that they are full of energy and helpless. Children can talk and walk but will never wander far from their parents unless they have a rebellious additude (common in demon horns). They don't understand many things and cannot breed yet, picture the mentality of a 9 year old. [only available through breeding]
CHOCHINOBAKE The Chochinobake has finally escaped the lantern and assumed a human form. If you have cared for it properly it will be in great condition but if you have been rough with it or neglected it it's body will be covered in scratches and scars.
CHOCHINOBAKE[TRUE FORM] This is what a chochinobake truly is, a demon. This form was taken from it by the lantern and a Chochinobake cannot regain this form until it's learned a spell that will break the seal that binds it in the humanoid form and make it so that they can shift between the two. The Chochinobake Demon has regeneration powers, an amazing jumping ability, can run at an excess of 83 MPH, and have the ability to use their multiple tongues to grab onto things to far for their arms to reach. [only reachable through RP]
ESSENCE
Every Chochin lantern is made with the essence of a certain item the essence of the lantern determines the appearance of the resulting Chochinobake and also effects it's personality.
ANGEL WING
Angelwing Chochinobake live high in the purity mountains where they coexist in peace with most of the mountain dwelling creatures. Angelwings dress in standard priest/ess wear and are quiet and peaceful. Many of them don't ever leave the mountains. They are kind and generous but there are many individuals that can be mean and even cruel. Angelwings originate from the time of the first great war where it is said that an angel was saved by hiding in an abandoned chochin lantern and becoming a chochinobake himself. Angelwing trueforms have feathery wings.
DEMON HORN
The Demonhorn chochinobake suddenly started appearing from deep within the purity mountains lower caverns. they are earth dwellers, preferring to live underground or in caverns then in the light of the sun. Demonhorns are mostly secluded and loners and do not open up easily. Some Demonhorns on the other hand are kind and sweet. Some magic using Demonhorns have the ability to manipulate the evil in other's hearts and turn them into slaves.
Demonhorns were said to have come as a result of an angelwing lantern being dipped in the blood of a fallen Chochinobake Vampire. Demonhorns not vampric but some do possess vampric qualities and their trueforms also have wings.
OBSIDIAN
Obsidian Chochinobake live deep in the woods, far away from any and all other chochinobake. They are a primp and proper race most of them, however some of them are party hungry and quite rowdy. Obsidians are very intune with nature and can sense pollution, both of nature and of the soul. The Pbsidians originated from the stoning of a Demonhorn by humans, this may be why they hate all humans with a passion. They live inside trees which they can use their magic to make grow hollow and big enough to hols entire cities. The Doku-En forest was grown completely by a team of Obsidians.

There are also subspecies of Chochinobake. These can come from any essence but are uncommon.

sometimes a subspecies lantern is sold in a flatsale and no one is told about if you're lucky the resulting chochinobake might be a subspecies but it's uncommon.
FAMILIARS
There are also a number of creatures that can be domesticated by a chochinobake or bought for a chochinobake.
Ninjasu
Ninjasu are very reserved creatures but are also very loving when bonded to someone. A domesticated Ninjasu always wears a cloak and sash to make it's appearance presentable to it's Master. However, wild Ninjasu shun their cloaks and run free. Ninjasu can see spiritual energy with their "True" eye which is closed most of the time and looks like a mouth. These creatures are very fast, and somehow possess the ability to remain airborne.
Obake Yami
These creatures have taken up resedence in normal paper lanterns. Noone knows what they look like inside the lantern because the mother lays it's egg inside the lantern. Yami are not always as kind as the Ninjasu and they love to play tricks on people other then their masters. They can summon will-o-the-wisps to aid in the quest to scare the bejesus out of any unfortunate passerby.
Pixie
Pixies are the mischievous cousins to the Obake Yami. They possess a limited amount of magical power and have the ability to hover like the Ninjasu and Yami. Pixies are prized for their empathic abilities and how a Pixie can transfer this ability to it's owner. The staff adult Pixies hold has a small chochin lantern on it that once belonged to a chochinobake who has passed on and left some of it's power.
Plargh
Plarghs are very unusual creatures who love to "glomp" everything that moves. They speak a language composed entirely of the word Plargh and that's where they get their name. Plargh are unusual in the way that they are nothing more then living oxygen-rich gel blobs. Because of this the Plargh can absorb things just by running over them. Plarghs love to eat treasure but have to expel what they have before they absorbe something else. If a Plargh happens to accidentally absorbs something alive then the living things can breath the gel of the plargh which is recycled and reoxygenated for as long as need be. People sometimes burst plarghs to get what they have inside but this isn't any harm to the plargh, it will simply reform and go find something else to eat.
Pluffle
Pluffle are little black fuzz-ball like things that flitter about emitting a steady buzzing noise and the occasional "Plur". They are very loving and loyal and will bombard a threat with continuous body slams in an attempt to protect it's owner. Pluffle have night vision and can also stand high heat and freezing cold. Scientists have discovered that they also are resistant to dark energy and can absorb it from unfortunate chochinobake and familiars under it's influence by touching them.
Lesser Dragon
These dragons are part of Jarakai and separated from him for unknown reasons. They seem to be Loyal to chochinobake and are kind of like dogs. Lesser Dragons are loving for the most part and have an excellent sense of smell and night vision. They are strictly carnivorous and must eat once a day. They are trainable and understand almost all speech.

1, State which one you want in the thread and send a trade.

Pixie= 5K
Ninjasu= 3.5K
Lesser Dragon= 6K
2, The gender of the lanterns or familiars can be my choice or yours. If you can't decide i will for you.
3, Do not discourage others from getting one if you can't afford one yet.
4, this is not an RP required shop, however I do require you to post anywhere pertaining to here atleast once every three months. If you fail to do so a rehoming event will be set up and you will have about a day to post, then your pet will be resold and all you will get is a refund.
5, If you choose to RP your pet, special abilities will be available to you that aren't to the non RPers.

Ah love... Well Chochinobake may come from lanterns but they do breed in the "conventional" way. You can choose to RP this or not, as long as it remains pg-13. [however there can be same gender breedings.]

--- exclaim Breeding cost is 20K you can split it as you wish. Must be paid first, lanterns may take up to a day and a half to color depending on other workload.

Force breeding [rape] is allowed by both owners consent if they feel their RP could be interested by it but will cost and extra 10K, however, the resulting lanterns and children may be Ghouls which are kinna like zombies only intelligent. And they don't hunger for brains [o.o]
--- exclaim Subspecies have a 25% chance of passing race on to children if the other mate is normal and 100% if both mates are the same subspecies. If each parent is a different subspecies then there is a 50/50 distribution of race.
