Okay, I need you guys' help. I'm gonna go post a thread in the guild for a new contest. Here's the deal:
I'm gonna be commissioning some new lines for the Kiwings and Kibbits. 'Cause mine... are not worth diddlysquat. xDDD Plus, I want to make both species more unique, and I doubt I could do them justice if I tried to update them myself.
So here's what I need YOU to do: start thinking of what you think the new Kiwings and Kibbits should look like. I'm probably only gonna do the Fluffy Kibbits and just scrap the Cotton Kibbits, 'cause the Cottons just... look like lop rabbits. Nothing special. Plus, if I wanna do them in the future, I'll edit the Fluffy Kibbits.
Once you have a concept, head over to the guild and fill out the form I'm gonna try to get up. Once I find concepts I think will fit these guys the best, I'll commission the lines, and we'll have wonderful new lines that actually look good! ^^

And a special assignment: My slot is for six lines. I'm only having the adults of the Kiwings and Fluffy Kibbits done, so that leaves me two more lines that I can have done. I was thinking maybe either:
- a 2-stage, breedable MiFi (aka mini-pet/mini-Firdal) OR
- a (1-stage) male/female MiFi (breedable) OR
- two 1-stage MiFis (nonbreedable).
If you have any ideas for what I should get with these two extra line slots, head over to the guild as well and fill out the form for these guys.

Also, EVERYONE who enters, whether you win or not, will be put into a raffle at the end for a free custom of the species of their choice! So tell all your friends and get goin'. Oh, and if you enter more than one (DIFFERENT) idea/concept, you get more chances. ^^
And if you tell a friend and they enter a concept, you'll get an entry as well, whether you've entered an idea of your own or not. No limit to how many referral entires you can get either.

1) Don't upload ANY of your Firdals to your own image host if you want them to grow. This is because we can't upload the growings to anything but our own Photobucket account. ^^;

2) If you try to edit any of the art, or claim it as your own, I shall let my one of my friends' anubii at you. And trust me, you don't want that. 0.0

3) If you would like to use your Firdal for your own personal use, please contact Jaina if you have any doubts as to whether the use you intend is allowed. Preapproved uses are as follows, providing you link back to the Firdal forum (http://firdal.proboards84.com/) or to this thread here on Gaia:
use as avatars, signatures, showcasing. (more will be added later when I remember them all, haha)

4) Please. Pleasepleasepleaseplease. PLEASE! (I don't think I can be more emphatic) No chatspeak. It literally hurts my brain to try to decipher it. Stuff like 'lol' is fine, but not much more. You may be graylisted if you do not desist after sufficient warning.
On the same not, proper spelling, punctuation, and capitalization is also suggested. I hate to sound like a stick in the mud or something, but if you insist on making it impossible to easily read what you post, you'll, at the least, be ignored, and at the worst, stricter action will have to be taken. sad

5) If you display your Firdal anywhere (off of Wajas or the Firdal forum; see list of preapproved display uses in #3), we ask that you link the Firdal back to http://firdal.proboards84.com/. Thank you. ^^

6) Do not steal ANY adoptable that isn't yours for fear of death... by flower sprinkling! No, really though, we have better punishment methods that can be enacted, but they're a bit too gruesome to list here. At any rate, just don't do the crime and you won't have to do the time. smile

7) Firdals, Firdal items, etc. may be traded for virtual goods, including other pets/adoptables, virtual currency, items, etc. or real-life money, but 20% of all sales should be sent to Jaina, since she has to make all the changes for the transfer of ownership.

cool If you want to trade/sell your Firdal, please contact jaina first so we'll be ready to update the cert. (then the new owner won't get in trouble for having a Firdal that 'isn't theirs' when it is. Yay!)

9) We reserve the right to turn down any custom or breeding requests at any time. (we do have lives that require time as well, unfortunately)

10) We also reserve the right to confiscate your Firdal(s), Firdal items, etc. if you break ANY of the ToS rules. You will be informed why you are losing your Firdals and will be refunded any money you paid us, but if you bought it from another player, they are NOT obligated to refund you.

11) Begging and/or harrassing ANYONE on the Firdal threads on Wajas or the Firdal forum itself is not allowed

Q) What are Firdals?
A) Firdals are breedable, growing pets that you can adopt.

Q) What's the difference between a Firdal and a MiFi?
A) A MiFi (Mini-Firdal) is a pet for your Firdal. Examples of MiFis are the Nubbins. MiFi's go on the cert with your Firdal, but also have certs of their own.

Q) Can I co-own Firdals or MiFis?
A) It all depends. Most of the time, it's preferred that a single person own a pet, for various reasons. Sometimes, however, I will allow it on a case-to-case basis, usually auctions or events or something like that.

Q) Can I apply for a staff member position or to be a guest colorist?
A) Only if I'm hiring. Otherwise, pretty much the only other way you'll be hired is if I contact you myself. smile

Q) Is there any way to get a discount on buying Firdals?
A) Only if you're like, a really good friend of mine, heh. However, in the future, you can also get discount coupons with Fruit Points. biggrin

Q) Should I PM you or the shop mule?
A) Please PM the shop mule for stuff related to the shop. If you're not sure if it's something you should PM to the mule or to me, feel free to ask in the thread and I'll let you know which account to PM.

Q) What happens if I broke a rule without knowing it because I was misinformed of the rule by someone else?
A) Depends. It's pretty much a case-by-case thing, though I do have some guidelines I follow in order to decide. And if it was a staffer, you're pretty much free and I'll just talk to them about it and everybody's happy. wink

Q) Is there any way I can lose my pets that I've gotten from Firdal?
A) The only way that would happen is if you're blacklisted. And that's very hard to do, so if you're blacklisted, congratulations, lol. Even then, you won't necessarily lose your pet(s). Otherwise, you'll probably just go on the graylist for a while, and that doesn't take away your pets. smile

Q) Are we allowed to post links to other shops in the Firdal thread or guild?
A) Yes, that's fine. I know most shops frown on this, but personally, I don't really mind. (at least, at the moment) For all I know, you might end up posting a link to what could become a new favorite shop of mine and a possible affiliate, so go right ahead. Plus, if more shops had an open policy like this, maybe it'd be easier to get more new customers. >.>
This said, however, I do ask that you only do this if there is a good reason. DO NOT JUST POST AND MAKE THE ENTIRE POST A LINK. THAT is not allowed. So just don't get unreasonable about sharing links to other shops and we're all happy. smile

In order to breed your pets, you must first have a breeding item. Each species has a specific breeding item. Once you have bought a breeding item, you can apply for a breeding slot when I open them up. Most of the time, this will be a first-come, first-serve thing, but sometimes I'll do something different.

Once you've secured a breeding slot, I will breed the two pets and produce a litter. Un-Life Mated pets can have 1-3 offspring per litter; Life Mated pets can have 2-4 offspring per litter. (Life Mating will be explained below soon)

Once the litter is 'born', you may choose one baby that you'll keep. If the two pets are owned by different people, each may keep a baby; if there is only one baby, but the two pets are owned by different people, you may co-own. Once you've picked the baby you're keeping, the rest will need to be given to someone else. You can do this pretty much any way you want. Some people have held RP contests, others simply give them to friends, others have sold them. (if you sell them, I do as for 50% of what the selling price) I do prefer they end up going to people that don't have any Firdal pets yet, but that's not a requirement.

Also, lineart edits (ie. a different tail, a plushie, etc.) will cost more. Edits take extra time and effort to make and all the other adoptables shops I've seen on here (Gaia) and elsewhere charge extra for edits. Prices for edits will be quoted on a piece-to-piece basis; there is no one base price for edits at the moment.
