Main Characters
Faris, Talvi, and Cier are part of "the trinity" - a trio of magicians trying to keep the world from getting screwed over. For further info read Chapter 4 of the story, posted further below. Cornelius "Neil" Gaunt is an heir and politician-turned-fugitive after he was discovered to be a magic user.
Name: Faris
Age: 23
Nationality: Indian
Physical Appearance: Faris is just over six feet tall and fairly muscular. He rarely smiles, and is likely to have a grim or "tough" look on his face. Faris has dark brown eyes. His posture is that of a confident man. There is usually henna on his arms and hands. His hair is black and unruly, wispy, the tufts at the top of his head sometimes resemble a halo or horns depending on his demeanor. As he is half-angel, there is always a dim light emitting from his back where you would imagine an angel's wings to be, regardless of clothing.
Clothing: No matter what the situation is, Faris seems to always be wearing shabby clothing - covered in dirt, blood, holes, patches, and threadbare spots. He commonly wears a trench coat (with many patches and mis-matched buttons) over sweatshirt, denim pants, and boots of some sort.
Personality: Even though he is the youngest of the trinity, Faris is very serious. He has a fairly short temper and is unlikely to joke around.

Name: Talvi Grey (on the right)
Age: 27
Nationality: English/Finnish
Physical Appearance: At five-foot-seven, Talvi is the shortest of the trinity, but her posture indicates quiet confidence and her smile a well-developed sense of irony. Pale skin contrasts with dark brown, wavy hair, sometimes in two braids. Her eyes are also brown, but the color is closer to amber. She is long-fingered and her build is trim.
Clothing: Talvi prefers her clothing to be functional as well as decorative. She’s fond of pea coats, turtlenecks, boots, mostly-practical skirts, and scarves (often argyle). She avoids wearing heels higher than a couple of inches in the interest of her ankles. As a cellist, she is frequently seen carrying her case, though in this storyline she was forced to leave it behind.
Unfortunately, she now dresses similar to Faris in more functional clothes, damaged by battles.
Personality: Whatever you get when you combine the sensitivity of a musician with the spirit of a tomboy, plus a dash of sarcasm and a pinch of salt (actually, never mind the salt).

* Name: Cier Seif(on the left)
Age: 26
Nationality: German
Physical Appearance: Cier is five foot eight and full-bodied, smaller at the waist and wider at the hips. She has a soft face with rosy cheeks, full lips, and cinnamon-brown eyes. She carries herself in a very feminine manner. Her blonde hair is cut in many layers and flips and sticks out in many directions.
Cier has two tattoos: One of them is an elaborate caduceus on her right upper arm (you may simplify the design if you wish!). The second is a snake coiling around her belly button.
Cier also has the following piercings:
Three in both earlobes, a horizontal industrial in her left ear, a piercing on her left eyebrow, and anti-eyebrow piercings beneath both of her eyes.
Clothing: Cier prefers feminine and elegant clothing: items with bows, floral patterns, and lace. She often wears skirts, blouses, vests, stockings and high-heels, but she too wears pants every now and then.
In the story her clothing is more comfortable, functional and worn by battles.
Personality: Cier is altruistic and cheerful, she prefers to avoid arguments but will stand up for what is right.

Name: Cornelius "Neil" Gaunt (no relation to Harry Potter characters...)
Age: 31
Nationality: English
Physical Appearance: Neil towers above the other characters at a ridiculous six-foot-seven. He is very gaunt, as his name suggests. While his expression is usually confident, there is a bit of craziness to his long and crooked nose, as well as the wall-eyed stare of his red eyes. While alone, Cornelius is more likely to be haunched over, but when with people he has his shoulders back and chest out. He has longer, wavy black hair. It is either down or in a ponytail.
Clothing: He has a closet full of blouses, ruffles, waist-coats, ascots, and pinstripes. Neil's clothing is inspired by Victorian and goth scenes. He always carries a watch on his person, and occasionally wears a top hat.
In the story he still wears the clothes he did the night of his arrest, but like the wardrobe of the other main characters, they are battle-worn. (See left.)
Personality: Cornelius is very ambitious and fairly arrogant. He is a quick thinker, however, and is not too proud to change his mind if it would ultimately benefit him.

Secondary Characters
Collins, Mina, Jeremy, and General Townsend are part of the National Investigative Services (supernatural division) - they are anti-magic. Thomas is the founder and leader of the Underground Collective of Magic Users. Beatrix is the leader of a magic user insurgency.
Name: Lieutenant Collins
Age: 52
Nationality: British/Irish
Physical Appearance: Lt. Collins is a short, portly man. He is only five-foot-two, yet his face is usually skewed with frustration or rage. Collins has round blue eyes that are usually squinting. His light blonde hair is balding, he has a beer belly, and he waddles.
Personality: Collins has an outrageous temper, and likes to yell. He acts as if he had more power than he really does. In reality, he is clueless and worried by many things.

Name: Mina
Age: 25
Nationality: English
Physical Appearance: This strawberry blonde is about five-foot-five and has an average body type. She wears rectangular glasses over green eyes and scowls often. Her posture suggests an intimidating authority despite her lack of real power.
Personality: Mina is very assertive and easily dissatisfied (usually at the fault of her partner, Jeremy.) She is also more cautious than him.
Name: Jeremy
Age: 29
Nationality: Korean
Physical Appearance: Jeremy is perhaps five-foot-two, and has a wider-than-average frame. His dark brown hair is cut shorter in the back than the front. He wears thin-rimmed oval glasses and has dark brown eyes. He stoops slightly and usually looks worried or put-upon.
Personality: He lacks confidence and acts down-trodden due to many a disapproval from his partner. He is also clumsy.
Note: Jeremy and Mina are the only two magic users in the N.I.S. (National Investigative Services: Supernatural Division). To mark their status they wear this armband:
Mina wears it on her left arm, Jeremy on his right.
Name: General Townsend
Age: 44
Nationality: American
Physical Appearance: The General is tall and fit, standing erect at almost six-foot-three. He walks with a swagger and a certain enthusiasm for life which can also be seen in his striking grey eyes. His age is marked upon his light brown hair with patches of gray and white. There are mysterious scars on his face and body, communicating a taste for adventure (or perhaps pain and bad luck.)
Personality: Mr. Townsend is a mysterious man who gets excited by the ideas of danger and exploring new boundaries, especially in battle. He is an adamant leader.
Name: Thomas
Age: 60
Nationality: English
Physical Appearance: The gentleman we know as Thomas still stands at six feet tall, although his age has led him to stoop slightly. He has a round face, and is a master of hiding his thoughts with simple expressions. However, despite this there is always a spark of interest in his green eyes.
Clothing: Thomas can be found wearing blazers and slacks: simple but respectful clothing. He is very fond of tweed, wool and the colour brown. Occasionally he wears a bowler hat.
Personality: While Thomas seems good-natured and honest, he has great plans and ideas that he keeps entirely to himself. He is incredibly manipulative and knows how to use the people around him as tools to his advantage, and yet maintain a friendly appearance.
Name: Beatrix
Age: 47
Nationality: French
Physical Appearance: Beatrix is a heavyset woman who stands at a mere five-foot-one. Her bright orange hair is frizzy and short, and her chubby face is usually intimidating whether she is glowering or grinning. She has rich brown eyes that are as reflective as polished glass. She has a certain unique feature: her right arm, almost entirely up to her shoulder, is made of not flesh but pure magic. It glows a variety of colours, though they usually appear fluorescent.
Clothing: Beatrix wears many trench coats, that are usually buttoned up to the very top of their collars (perhaps to conceal her double chin.) Depending on the situation, they may or may not cover her "magic arm". If she mans to conceal her arm, she wears leather gloves. If she does not, she will wear a trench coat with the sleeve torn off to display the arm in its full glory. She wears tall boots, and would never put on a skirt.
Personality: All that is known about Beatrix is that she is ruthless in battle, and she hates everything about the recent anti-magic movement.
