<center>Story/Character Info

Long ago, the Legends protected the world from all harm, keeping it safe from outsiders. They were made of many races: demon, human, angel, and yet all co-existed peacefully.

It wasn't until the human race wished to be the most powerful that things got bad. All of the Legends began to fight, until they were brought into war. In that cataclysmic time, all were sided against the humans, their only advantage the use of magic.

For the human-aligned Legends were many in number, and by sheer force, they drove the others off of the face of the planet.

Because of this, they were cursed, to become mortal, and without power. But the earth still needs guardians, and so every once in a while, a new Legend-child is born, watched over by a mortal caretaker until they are able to help protect the world.

Are you ready for this task?

Here are the stages of the Legends:

Baby: The Legend-child appears after a few days at your house, cave, etc., as a baby, wrapped in a white blanket. He/she is completely helpless in this stage, and is totally dependant on you. Neglecting to care for said child will result in it being taken away and put up for adoption.
Stage lasts--1-2 weeks.

Toddler: Your child has grown up just a bit, but he/she is still dependant on you. The Legend-child will be able to crawl around, and maybe walk a bit as well as say a few words and incomplete sentences. Once again, if you neglect to roleplay, he/she could be taken and put up for adoption.
Stage lasts--1 month.

Kid: The Legend-child will be between the ages of 7 and 12, able to walk, talk, play, and be an absolute handful. Your character's development in this stage is extremely important. Failure to roleplay will ABSOLUTELY result in the child's being taken away.
Stage lasts--1 month, 2 weeks.

Adolescent: Your Legend-child is now on his/her way to becoming an adult, showing signs of maturity. He/she will probably be more distant and rebellious, but there are the rare few who develop a bond between their caretakers and are obediant. Again, failure to roleplay, blah, blah, blah.

Youth/Young Adult: This stage begins when your Legend reaches the age of 17 through the age of 21. The rebellious stage is over *phew*, and your character is no longer a child. He/she shall become more independant and ready to see the world. This is the stage where bonding with another Legend occurs, and the bond could even become to where the two wish to be mates. Breeding does not occur at this stage, however.

Adult Picture Unavailable

Adult: The final stage of development(But not the final stage.), your Legend should be by this time no longer dependant on you. He/she can choose to be mated, and remember, the Legends mate for life. Roleplay is no longer required, but if you wish for your Legend to rise to the last, and most exclusive stage, then roleplay is extremely encouraged.

Legend Picture Unavailable

Legend: What is this? An extra stage? This stage can only be obtained by faithful roleplay, good behaviour, and just 'cause I can. Your character may gain wings, extra markings, powers, etc.

Note: The stage length will vary depending on the amount of roleplay, and when I feel that your child is ready for the next stage.</center>

<center>How to get a Legend-Child

There are four methods of getting a Legend-Child.

Flatsale: At a flatsale, there will be two to four Children, depending on what's going on. Each one will go for 1k. Post in the thread the one you want, and then send the trade. You may only buy one Child per flatsale. If you already own a Child, you may not buy one via flatsale. You will have to get another from an auction or some other method.

Current Flatsales: None

Auction: Auctions will be for custom characters, meaning you get to decide what they look like and what not. There may also be auctions for Wild Children, the Legend-Children that are found while roleplaying. These children may be half grown, so make sure you're okay with that. The bidding will start at 3k.

Current Auctions: Rudolph

Breeding: Breeding can only occur with a male and female Adult. It will cost 3k per owner, and there will be anywhere from one to four Children produced. But sometimes, the two cannot afford to pay for breeding. What happens then?

Then the Children will go up for Adoption, and the cost will vary from child to child.

What happens if the parents get more Children then they can handle? Or what if they are looking to make a profit off of the breeding?

Well, the parents can put the Children up for auction, with the starting bid of their choice. *Note: This option is only for the owners who have paid the full price for breeding.

Current Breedings: None.

Adoption: The last option is adoption. Sometimes, owners will just be unable to take care of their Children, and will either put them up for adoption, or in the case of neglective owners, will get the Children taken away.

The abandoned can be found here, and the price will vary from Child to Child.

Current Children up for Adoption: None. ^^

Pet Trades: Theres a fifth way to get a Legend-Child, without having to pay or go through the trouble of raising it to Adolescence. And that, my friends, is called a pet trade.

Breeding Info

Breeding can only take place with a male and female Adult or Legend. Both owners must agree to it, and both must pay 3K, or one can pay the whole 6K, doesn't matter to me. Note: Once you have bred the two, they are mates for life, so think wisely before making your decision. The two must also have been given time to bond during roleplay. No bond, no babies. XD

After payment has been recieved, the two will disappear for a week (I lock them up in a room together. -smirk-), after which time, I will announce whether the breeding was successful or not. The success rate depends on two things: Whether or not the the two like each other, and whether or not I have enough time to draw the babies.

If the breeding is a success, it will be another two weeks before the mother delivers, and three days after that before the babies are seen. No one is allowed in the delivery room during time of birth and no one will be allowed in after the birth until three days have passed. Reason being, that the babies must bond with their mother, or they will not survive. The first person allowed in after this waiting period will be the father, seeing as it's only fair. XD

There will always, I repeat, always be two or more babies. Though they will NOT be counted as twins, triplets, etc. The owners have to decide who gets to raise which baby, and if they are incapable of doing so, I will either make the two co-own both children, or I will take them away and auction them off.

If there happens to be more than two children, the owners can decide to keep the extras, or auction them to a new owner, keeping and splitting the profits amongst each other.

After the breeding and delivery is complete, the pair cannot breed again for another two months. There may only be two breedings per each couple.

Compatability

Jus' so there's no confusion, a Gen 1 Child may only breed with a Gen 1 or Gen 2 Child (Depending on the age difference. XD). A Gen 2 Child may breed with a Gen 1, 2, or 3 Child. And if we get that far... o_o, a Gen 27 Child may breed with a Gen 26, 27, or 28 Child. (Dear me...) But that's how it goes. A Child that comes from a breeding will be a Gen below whatever it's oldest parent is. So from Gen 1 and Gen 1 comes Gen 2. And Gen 1 and Gen 2 comes Gen 2. And so on and so forth.

Breeding Slots

There will only be two slots for breeding. I may choose to close and open them as much as I please or need to do so. You may only claim a breeding slot if your Child is a Legend or Adult, AND, you have talked it over with the other owner.

How do I get a Child?

I don't have enough money! Can you lower the price?

No, I can't. Here's why. If I lowered the price, everyone and their dog would keep pushing it until the Children would be free. Just save up, you'll eventually have enough.

How many can I have?

As of a few weeks ago, the limit was set. I am allowing everyone to have five Children from Flatsales/Auctions/Customs/Trades/etc. Then, they may also have one child from each breeding that they partake in. So, really, if you keep breeding the Children you get, you could easily have 20-30 of them. (But who would want to take care of that many? o_o)

Can we co-own?

Sure, as long as someone's roleplaying.

I can't post everyday, what do I do?

Well, you can either co-own a Child, meaning that you share it with someone else, or as long as you come in and post in your journal once a week, you'll be fine. Just keep in mind that the less roleplaying that goes on, the slower your pet will grow.

To obtain a Journal, when buying a Child you must request one. Though not required, Journals are recommended because they will be safe havens for your Legend-child, as well as a private roleplay forum. Keep in mind, however, that the journals are private, and that if the owner of the journal doesn't wish for anyone to post, that you must respect their wishes. I, being the owner, may post in anyone's journals, because I may spring a gift on you, or check up on your Child from time to time.

Voting

When journals are up and running, the owners and non-owners will be able to post in the forum the journal they think is the best. Winners for each month will recieve something special, such as a picture from me, or perhaps a special item for their character. The only rule is to not vote for yourself.
