Dec 1st - >^-^<;;; I know...I'm a terrible procrastinator. This will probably bite me in the tail later, but I wanted to spend a little time making the shop christmasy for all you lurkers. I've made it so that you can all be a part of the shop's christmas...check the second-last post for the Rayne Tree details.
Nov 28th- I'm hoping I won't be gone for long, but my first exam is this week, and I'm afraid I'll have to study alot to get through it. Please be good while Neko goes through her exams, ne? >^_^<

~* Neko's Gen Rules *~

-GOLDEN RULE: NO pushing for growth/Dropplets. The words "I don't have all day" still echo in my mind, and force me to go homicidal. The only exception for this is if someone is waiting on a cert; otherwise, this is a deadly offence. I can't stress it enough. A pet/breedable is for FUN in Gaia, not to go show off to your friends. Saying "THE <blank> STAGE IS WICKED KOOL YO BUT THIS ONE SUX" will land you in my Bad/Ebil list *nods*.
-you may not flame or torture another Gaian stare including me
~* Raffle Rules *~
-No max number of tickets per person...
-...but tickets are 2k each
-"Good Luck" is welcome, "BUT I BOUGHT MORE TICKETS!!! gonk " is not. I use random methods to choose winners and, like all raffles, it's a game of chance.
-if someone buys 10 tickets for themselves though >o_o< I reserve the right to ADD more places on for other people. The purpose of my holding raffles is so lots of people get a chance.

~* Flatsale Rules *~
-method of obtaining a Rayne through a Flat: secret twisted heart
-the flat starts when I say so (this'll be easy to recognize, no worries), and all attempts to get a Rayne before this will be dismissed.
-you can't pick one for yourself and for a friend I'm afraid : <

There four stages to an average Rayne....

1. The Dropplet: It's the blob-like form of the Rayne Drops, and are smushy, mushy, wet, and jiggly to the touch. whee These little ones may not be able to move around too much, but they will wobble around like a jello-mould in their Drop xd Their eyes also tend to stay on their keepers as well *nods* ... As a human child would in early months >^_^< They can't move or see too clearly, but they will recognize the sound of their keeper's voice, and watchfully follow it. heart

2. The DewDrop: out of it's egg-like state, the Rayne will give a closer resemblance to it's final form,...still keeping it's special birthleaf with it. Their eyes are sensitive to bright lights, and (if you were to open their eyes right now, they'd be a pale blue/white >o_o< wink they need the protection of the leaf. Raynes do not have human speech, but do develope their own sounds >^-^< Dew Drops learn rather quickly, but you definately don't want to over-stimulate them >oO<; This is a stage where the Rayne will make a bond with its keeper, and giving it too much info may cause it to fear you in the 3rd stage.

3. The Sprout: Even more of a resemblance to the final Adult form, the Sprout is very curious, but quite shy to open and busy places. They want to explore, but will need your help to gather their courage to do it. =^_^= This is why bonding well with your Rayne is so important. If you've over-exposed your Dew Drop, it may not trust you as a Sprout. This is the stage where you can really teach it the ways of the world 3nodding ...eh...just try to keep them away from open areas; >+_+< they tend to give a terrible shriek. The leaf is their saftey-blanket at this stage. If they feel threatened or ill, they will retire to the underside of the leaf (note: Some Sprouts are very shy, and may hide under their leaf for this reason as well). They will try to find a way to categorize things they see...as well as keepers whee Sprouts have been known to call to their keepers with sound-like nicknames of their own creation.
^ UPDATE!!! - *Neko sticks a paper on the front of the backroom door* The Sprout is certainly awkward; by human example, this would be the equivalent to the puberty/teen years of life. They don't know why they feel certain ways, some depise the outside, and they all have fuzz where there was no fuzz before :3

4. The Leafling: The adult form. A Leafling is VERY attatched to its keeper. Not much is known, but they will show characteristics of their elements here. All Raynes have abilities that are attatched to their type... but they are rarely willing to show it ninja Try to find their gift out if you can; lol. Their eyesight is remarkable, and they enjoy water/moisture. They might even give their leaf to you at this stage =^_^= as a sign of affection. heart
Speaking of affection... >.><.<>.> Raynes don't look so much for a "love" as they do for an intellect. They tend to prefer a knowledgeable source, and want to mate with a mind equal to their own.

I've decided to hide the last ...one... stage whee ...so unless you've seen the leafling in the past auction threads, you'll have to be all suprised until the current Raynes reach that stage heart

... this is *sniff sniff* ...Vinegar?!...

Indeed it is! :O Vinegar has a weird ability of shrinking Raynes! It brought my own Isis down to her Dropplet stage from the Dew Drop stage! If you want the same reaction for your own Rayne, just ask and we'll add a drop o vinegar to 'em >^-^< (hint hint: the vinegar can wear off, so just notify me when you want your Rayne back at a certain stage >~.^< )

my Rayne >^_^< Isis is a Guardian ( will be a very rare find ) so she watches over other pets 3nodding Isis is particularly a Guardian for the other Raynes though.
