HOMG! eek I'm finally breaking down and questing for one of the old donation items. Up until now I didn't really like them, but then I realized how nice a devil's tail and horns would look on my avatar (already have the horns).

So yeah. This is my quest thread. whee I'm quite open to suggestions and advice. I also like foruming, so please talk here!

April 12th's tale: Whirlwind Update

Okay! My apologies to everyone who is still waiting on me to draw art for them! It will be drawn, I promise. Anyway, onto the relating of information!

Almost a month and a half ago at this point, I realized something about myself. I mean, aside from the fact that I'm a horrible student and I don't belong at the school I'm currently going to.

I realized that I'm bisexual. And no! That doesn't mean I'm both genders. xd

I had to think over it, along with the realization that the kind of love I had for my boyfriend was changing. I still love him at this point, but it is a much different kind of love. One of caring and compassion, along with understanding. I tried to keep things the way they were, but I met someone who made me realize that change is not a bad thing.

Almost two weeks ago, I made the decision to tell Patrick about myself, and I knew how it was going to turn out. I think it was a bit unfair for me to go into the situation knowing that while he didn't know what to expect, but I can't change that now, nor could I have really done anything about it then.

Wednesday, the 30th of March, I told him. His reaction was pretty much what I expected. He requested time to think about it on his own; I gave it to him. The next day, we discussed things, and came upon a mutal agreement to remain friends but part ways relationship-wise. I know I'm making this sound almost emotionless--it was far from it--but we both knew it was going to happen at some point. It was just a matter of what triggered it.

A short bit later, I had a word with the person who helped me realize that change is necessary, and well.. he and I are together now. I may not have known him very long, but I love him. I love Grin with all my heart.

It'd be nice if I could just tie the story up there, but this isn't a novel, there's no such thing as a happy ending, and there isn't even such a thing as an end. We were planning on maybe meeting each other some time in July or August, but some complications have arisen.

I'm going to have to move out of the house I'm living in, because I'm either going to have to pay more rent to keep my room, share my room with someone else, or somehow manage to fit everything into a much smaller room (which is physically impossible).

I did some thinking about it. I have nothing going for me in Colorado. I'm not going to stay at my college, I've unofficially dropped out of my classes, and I can't find a job at all here.

Thanks to Led Zeppelin, the inkling of an idea was nurtured... for a few days I had the phrase, "Going to California with an aching in my heart" repeating in my head. Going about this situation a bit more logically, I've decided Washington's better. There will still be mountains for me, I will get to live in relatively close proximity to an ocean, the job market is better, and I have a few family members and friends living out there.

I'm still anxious about committing to the idea, but I was told earlier today by someone I normally don't get along with that it's a good idea to listen to emotions, and do what feels right. And if you can't tell what feels right.. do what doesn't feel wrong.

That'd be a fun sentence to leave off on. But I think I'll just mention that I had some other random things thrown in there to brood about. Shortly before I told Patrick, I barely got a D on a calculus test. Shortly before Patrick and I broke up, I was informed that my grandfather has been put on a feeding tube and will continue to be on it for the rest of his life. Shortly before... okay, you get the picture. Full of ups and downs, surprise twists, but no endings.
