The story behind the charity:
Well, it seems this angel has had a troubled past. The Big Guy (*points up*) says the only way I'll ever get my halo now is if I start doing some good deeds around here. So, I started this charity hoping that someday soon, I'll finally get it.

Post # 2 Teh rules - Part 1
Just to keep it interesting for me, the rules change on a weekly basis.
(Roughly... most "donation weeks" aren't exactly 7 days.)
Some of my ideas include: newbie-only donation week, quest-thread only donation week, best made-up excuse for needing gold week, Who can make me smile week?, scavenger hunt week, etc.

The rules that will NOT change:
1) Do NOT PM me asking for gold or donations. And don't beg either!
(That is an automatic NO donation.)
2) Be nice in here. You may chat or bump, and follow the TOS.
3) You will only receive ONE donation from me.
There are thousands of Gaians. It's only fair.
4) If I suspect your account is a "mule" that acts poor to beg for gold/donations, I will NOT donate to you. This means I WILL read the post history of those I consider donating to.
5) If you are not selected for a donation, you may try again the next week.
6) DON'T come into the charity and say "Erm... is anybody here?" if you don't get an answer right away. I do check the thread regularly, but I don't live here! I have a life outside of Gaia.
7) You have two weeks to confirm your donation once it's been sent or it will be forfeited. (You will be ineligible for future donations as well.)
8 ) You must be a Gaia member for at least 1 month and have at least 50 posts. No, I don't have anything against newbies... I have donated to/adopted them many times only to have them quit Gaia shortly after they join. Therefore, I'm giving donations to people that have shown they are active Gaia members. (Rule #8 effective as of 2-26-05.)
9) Read and follow this week's rules in post #10 below.

New for 2005

1 random quester each week will receive 100g.
(That's an additional 5,200g in donations yearly from me.)

One of the things that I always hated about questing was the lack of people who came by my quest thread and actually donated. Every now and then I'd get some bumpers, and I even made a friend or two. However it was a very RARE occasion that somebody stopped by my quest thread and donated to me outta nowhere. With that in mind, I have decided that each week I will search the quest threads in the charity forum (this does NOT include people who post their link here in my charity) and choose someone to receive a 100g surprise donation.

The detailed list of weekly 100g quest thread donations is located on page 2.

The jar of balls was brought here from the original charity. It's usually sitting on the counter, but sometimes I put it in the window to scare off anyone who dares not to read/follow the rules.
(Yes, I WILL rip off your balls & stick them in the jar!) Most of these balls belong to ex's of the regulars around here. Now we have Lynne17's gall bladder too! xd
(I stole it so she wouldn't need gallbladder surgery.)
