Here's the deal. I want to help other Gaians make some money, while having a good time, and getting their stuff advertised as well. So, this is what I came up with.
I sell you one ticket for 10 gold. Buy as many as you want (I won't sell more than 65,536 tickets however). Each week, on Friday, I will draw three tickets. The first place prize is 40% of the ticket sales total. The second place prize is 25%, and the third place prize is 10%. For example, if 100 tickets were sold, the first place prize would be 4000 gold, the second 2500, and the third 1000. If all tickets were sold, all three prizes would total 491,520 gold!
So as you can see, the more tickets sold the bigger the prize.
It gets better! On the last day of every month there will be a special drawing. You may not buy tickets for this drawing. If you bought a ticket at all in the previous month, you have one reserved for you, one for every week you bought a ticket. (I.E. You bought one the first week only, you have one ticket. You bought one all four weeks, you have four tickets, regardless of how many tickets you bought each week.) In this drawing, the first place prize is 2 donation letters from that month. The second place prize is 1 donation letter from that month. The third place prize varies from month to month, but will be something of good value.
*Note: All percentages are rounded down. This means, if too few tickets are sold it is possible that one or more of the ticket places may have a 0 gold prize. If this occurs, all tickets will be refunded, unless you wish to keep them in for the upcoming weekly drawings, or the monthly drawing.
