What We're About:
This charity was founded on an idea used in my church: discipleship. In the church, this means that all members of the church, especially the elders, help each other to grow in their faith and knowledge of God. We help each other out in times of need. What I have done is apply this concept to questing. I will take questors in, with some limitations as I don't have unlimited resources, and work with them to help them complete their quests. We will stick with them, offering gold, bumps, and encouragement until the end of the quest. Since we don't have the means to take on every interested quester, we do offer support in other ways. See the next post for more specific details.

Updates

November 20, 2006: Thread tentatively reopening again.

May 2006: Thread closed again until I'm finished moving.

March 11, 2006: Thread reopened.

November 2005: Thread temp closed because of school.

July 4, 2005: Thread found, and there was much rejoicing.

June 29, 2005: This thread was declared MIA. New thread was started as this thread had appeared to have been eaten by Gaia.

June 17, 2005: Date is approximate. Suspended on Silver Wings is adopted by Kierras-Ann and the Offical Quest Guild.

Rules

1.) Please use proper grammar and spelling, and refrain from using leet and chatspeak. It gets annoying.
2.) Do not PM Kasyrrah or any other charity worker about ANYTHING concerning donations, and this includes begging.
3.) No begging! This will earn you a spot on the blacklist.
5.) No flaming the thread, or anyone in the thread. This is a charity designed to be supportive, and destructive comments will not be tolerated.
6.) Bumping is allowed, but try to avoid using just the word 'bump'. If possible engage in conversation with someone else in the thread.
7.) No advertising outside of signatures.
8.) General Charity Forum Rules FULLY apply. Meaning don't stretch pages, no bump you bump me backs, etc.
9.) Please read this entire page before applying.

Disciples

What is a Disciple?
Being a disciple means that at least once a week the charity will send you a donation of up to 1000g. The exact amount will vary depending on funds. We will actively bump/chat in your quest thread, and we will help you in any way we can to complete your quest. We will continue to work with a disciple until the quest is finished, abandoned by the disciples choice, or we feel that the disciple is not seriously interested in pursuing their quest (i.e., we are doing most or all of the work). Disciples, in return, will be held accountable for making reasonable active progress toward completing their quest. We will not quest for you. This means that we expect you to work at least as much as we do if not more so.

Steps to becoming a Disciple:
1.To become a disciple you need to become acquainted with the workers in this charity. We want to know who you are. This means that you need to post actively for at least a week before applying--in other words, you need to post at least 3 times per day for 7 consecutive days. We require this for several reasons. First of all, it lets us know that you are seriously interested in investing time and effort into your quest. Secondly, it allows you the questor to determine whether working with us is really what you want.
2. If there is a free space on the waiting list or on the disciple list, fill out an application form. If a space isn't free, we encourage you to hang out until one is open or take advantage of one of our other services:

Adoptees

What is an Adoptee?
Adoptees are questing Gaians that I will help by regularly bumping their thread, chatting with them, and otherwise offering encouragement.

Steps to becoming an Adoptee:
1. As with getting on our Disciple List, you must spend time getting to know the workers in this charity, although as being an Adoptee isn't as involved as being a Disciple, you only need to post actively in this thread for 2 days--meaning that you must post at least 3 times per day for 2 consecutive days.
2. If there is a free spot on our list, fill at the following application form. If there is no free space available on either the list or the waiting list, then continue to hang around until space does open up. We will always be around to offer support and listen to your frustrations whether or not you're on this list:

These are the people who help run this charity. If you are interested in helping there are several "jobs" you can take here. These are entirely voluntary positions. PM me if you are interested and how you would like to help. After a one week trial period, we'll add you to our list of workers. Outside of our official jobs, hanging out around the thread here is always welcome. You can also help out unofficially, if you don't want to commit to anything, by randomly bumping or donating to any of the questers we support.

The Official Quest Guild: This is a great place for questers to hang out with other questers. This guild does not give out donations nor does it guarantee donations, however it is very supportive and has some wonderful resources for questing Gaians.
