Everyone is welcome to post in the thread, Owners and non-owners alike, and DO NOT PM ME! If you have a question, POST IT IN THIS THREAD, IF IT IS NOT ANSWERED SOMEWHENE ON THE FIRST PAGE, I will answer it when i get a chance.

Interesting Facts about Maecenas:
~If Maecenas were people, they would most likely be a cross between Native Americans and the Ancient Greeks. They beleive in the spirits of nature and beleive they are the gods that create the world, coensiding with eachother.

~In a single breeding, they can have up to 4 pups!

~Maecenas means Protector

~Both Males and Females come in a whole variaty of colors, and some even have special marking on them!

FAQ:
Q: Can I reserve a Maecenas for myself? I cant be on durring the flatsale.
A: Yes and no. Yes you can, but you have to pay extra. A flatsale is 4k, you have to pay 6k. Its not really fair to the other people who will actually participate in the flat sale. Of course, This rule will not apply all the time. When the elemental Maecenas start showing up, this rule does not apply to them. This rule is also not in affect untill the day of a flatsale. Auctions are not affected by this rule.

Q: Can I give you a (insert item here) For a Maecenas?
A: Yes, but only to an extent. Rare items are only accepted (such as pink box items) and Donation letters/items. No store items. I have to be able to pay my colorist, so i need to be able to split it some how, If need be, I will contact you and make an arangement.

Q: Can I buy a Maecenas?/Are there any available?
A: If there are, they are most likely in the sales post. If not, then there are none.

Q: When is the next flat sale/auction?
A: I dont know, when i feel like it and when my colorist has a few ready.

Q: How much does a Maecenas cost?
A: 3k at a flatsale, but auction prices vary based on bids. Customs are according to difficulty. (See the Sales post for more)

Q: Do I have to role play?
A: No, not necissarily, though you must check in with us once in a while, preferable be active. Role players do always get perks. Such as faster evolutions, and possibly items when i make them...

The Valley of the Moon was a mystical place, a world, entertwined with our own... The sun did not exist here, just an endless night with a pale, full moon. The population there, was, how do you say? Not of our world?

The Maecenas were one of the many tribal creatures. A combination of a fox, and a phoenix, they were considered holy creatures, wise and mysterious, and sadly, also theives. Their cunning and swift movements, often placed them among the first to be blamed when a treachery of stealth occured.

Then the Avichi came and destroyed them. The Avichi beasts were of a different speicies, always out classed in everything by the graceful Maecenas. Eventually, they grew so envious that the only way to rid themselves of their own hate was to destroy them. And they did... or so they thought.

That day, the shaman of the village's daughter, Zeraphina, and her childhood friend, Lucavi, went out of the village to explore the surrounding areas, they had heard a rumor of a great wishing tree, that if you ate one of the fruits off of its branches, your greatest desire would come true. They sought it out for days. (The Maecenas had a way of their own to tell time as to when they should sleep, and when they should work... It had something to do with the stars in the sky...)

Unfortunately, they had not found the wishing tree, and empty pawed, they returned to their village, which, by then was burned, and plundered of all former glory. Perhaps the Meacenas survived. Perhaps some of them escaped. The Avichi had not left yet, and spotted the two, and chased them, eventually they hid, in a cave, behind a waterfall. It was an old refuge to the Maecenas, and only they new its location. Zera and Lucavi had not been there before, but they knew its location from birth, as all Maecenas did. When they thought the danger had passed, they climbed farther back into the cave, having heard birds singing, and a ray of light. As they approached, they could see a pale blue sky, and the sun, rising in the east... The Maecenas, now take refuge in our world. The decendants of Zeraphina and Lucavi.

On occasion, the odd Wild Daydream, often called Nightmares, wander through, finally escaping the dread of the Avichi Beasts. They should be approached with caution, for they are un accoustomed to human interactment, and may be danerous.

Life all life, the Maecenas, have stages of life, which incorperate new abilities or features.

The Egg: nearly indestructable, except, for the fact that they are so heavy, they sink if placed in water, or any liquid substance. The Maecenas usualy stays in this stage for about a week...

The Awakening: Once the egg hatches, the Wings that were the eggs, are revealed to be the Maecenas. Each with their own color pattern, and abilities, however, at the stage of the awakening, all this little pup wants to do is play.

DayDream (Adult): After about 2-3 weeks, the pup will rise from the awakening stage, to the daydream(adult). Here the Meacenas is fully grown, but, They still have alot to learn. Curious as ever, they still get into trouble, but that is how they learn, however, the Meacenas ofter get in over their heads. They need your guidance so they keep out of trouble, and other mishaps.

One Rule with all sales: The images MUST BE DIRECT LINKED untill the DAYDREAM(adult) Stage!

Maecenas will be sold off in flat sales and auctions. The flat sale price is 3k. The auction price will START AT 3K and rise with the bids.

Customs will cost you extra, of course, but you can get whatever color scheme you want. Bribes are accepted, such as: Item offers(Rare/event items only), Donation letters, Donation Items. But, I do have to pay my colorist, so please, make sure i can splt whatever you are sending me, if need be we can work out some sort of trade.

Customs start at around 5k, and increase with difficulty. Changeing the wing style alone will cost you at the least 3k. ( i would have to redraw the entire thing, and make sure its perfect... hence the high price...)

Customs also only come in the adult form.

Basic concepts of the Maecena roleplay.

~Humans and maecenas can roleplay together
~Roleplay doesnt have to occur, but roleplayers get perks... such as faster evolutions, and possibly items when i make them.
~I would, however, like owners to come in and post once in a while to let us know that you didnt up and die on us. If you dont, your pet will be taken from you and adopted by someone who can actually participate.
~Maecenas cant talk english, but obviously, when they speak in the roleplay, it will be english... otherwise this would be really pointless...but they really cannot talk untill the awakening stage... Pfft... like an eggeh would talk...

Here is where the owners pick-up eggs, evolutions and such. If you are expecting an evolution, keep checking here to see if and when your Maecenas evolves.
