------------------------~The Ema Petition-----------------------~
I saw this after re-reading volume 6 of Aoi Yori Aoishi, by Kou Fumizuki. I typed this directly out of the manga, just leaving a little bit out.((I found the links/pictures.. Of coarse..))
Ema:
In Japan, visitors to Shinto shrines can purchase ema, wooden plaques, to write their wishes on. One side of the ema is blank, where the wish is written-the other side features an image representative of a god or theme that the tepmle or wish represents. The ema are hung up on racks for public viewing. Periodically, the ema are removed and ritually burned so that the wishes written on them can reach the gods (but in this case admin). Some shrines specialize in money, luck, (health, and marriage). Shrines charge a small fee for service, which is one way of operating expensives.
That way, there will always be enough room for more ema!
I havnt really thought about a reasonable price.. What do you think is a reasonable price?

Here's a couple links that could be used for the location:
http://www.gaiaonline.com/gaia/map.php?m=8
http://www.gaiaonline.com/gaia/map.php?m=2
((Maybe they could make it on both locations?))
The forth picture on the ema links,
This one ------->

--------------------------------------Some Questions--------------------------------------------------
Well, I don't see why not! Some people actually do that. 3nodding
I was just thinking about that. I was thinking occaisionally they would actually come true, thus encouraging the gaia people to want to have the ema.. But I would have to think about this more,...
3nodding ((If someone would be so kind to make examples... >_>;; razz ))
EXAMPLES:

Maybe there could even be a shrine and we can write our own stuffs on them, and they can come in different colours and stuff.
This is a really cool idea, and it would be awesome if on Gaia towns they had festivals where you could hang your wishes from trees.
So? What do you think? Should we have Ema?

+Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde+
I'd say sell them off for about 1k.
GsLucky
This is a fabulous idea. You know, there could be a chance that if being a bit more expensive (maybe 4k) the admins may give you a rare... it's trully a wish come true and also a way to contribute to gaia's economy.

Northawke_rs
I think it's a nice idea. We could perhaps hang them in our houses?
Well, I don't see why not! Some people actually do that. 3nodding
StormyDesert
do you propose they would actually grant wishes?
I was just thinking about that. I was thinking occaisionally they would actually come true, thus encouraging the gaia people to want to have the ema.. But I would have to think about this more,...
Blackening Rose
*signs* you should be able to hold them too.

Maybe there could even be a shrine and we can write our own stuffs on them, and they can come in different colours and stuff.
mcr_anime_fr33k
What a wonderful idea you have here! It has great potential of more than just an item, it can become events and more! *signs* I hope the admins believe this idea is as great as I think it is! Good luck! *bows*
Misoree

Matdredalia
I think that'd be a really awesome idea for us to have for our houses or to hold. The only problem would be making it so people could choose what they're wishing for. They'd need to make a shop entirely that is entirely Ema's where each Ema is for a different item you're wishing for or something. Which is entirely possible!
So? What do you think? Should we have Ema?
