4/17 - Wow! Almost 1000 pages! eek To celebrate there will of course be prizes! To keep this from turning into a free for all bumping madly thing (which I HATE) here is what I am going to do. Once we reach page 1000 the first 15 unique posters will be entered into a raffle for prizes. Everyone will get something and no two prizes will be the same! 11/15 - Gonna try an experiment here with this sale - bribes! I will list a few items that I am wanting in the flatsale thread. Give me one and you get a prepurchase certificate good for a prebuy at any flatsale! (meaning you can buy one before the sale starts!) eek

10/3 - Serendiponies is part of a multi-shop Halloween event! You may see some odd pictures popping up in here - if you do the right thing when you see one you may get raffle tickets or pets! 9/19 - The Autumn Goddess auction is open! Each God/Goddess will be unique and they will be limited. After the Autumn & Samhain ones, there will not be another until December! (unless someone bribes me well for a custom!) The next flatsale previews are up - 4 foals need homes on Thursday! Plus...are those plushies I see?
9/8 - There is an early Halloween event going on and Serendiponies is part of it! If you see the ghostie, be the first to say "Gotcha" and you get a free raffle ticket for an Elemental Uni. If you see a candy, say "Trick-or-Treat" and get a ticket for a free Halloween Serendipony! See a bat and say "auugghhh!" and you get a free Anam Ciall raffle ticket! 9/3 - OPENING DAY!! Break out the balloons & confetti! Raffle ends today, and since I have errands to run anyone can get a ticket just by asking! (details in event thread)
8/30 - There will be an auction of a special cosmic filly colored by Foalen! See the event post for the details!

1.No stealing the art, please! You see this one in just about every shop. But please, be honest and keep your sticky fingers off of my work! If caught you will be reported and blacklisted from all my shops.
2.Begging = Blacklist Begging & whining will only annoy us. Don't do it! If you do, you will find yourself on the blacklist and will NEVER get a chance for a pet from any of my shops
3. Don't PM me with orders. Sales need to be in the thread for all to see. PMing with questions is fine, though, however posting them is better.
4. Flamers shall have a bucket of cold water dumped on them. Not gonna have it. This is a NPDZ (no put-down zone) and I won't tolerate it in the shop!
5. Chatspeak is not a language! Please don't use it. We don't understand it, and if you use this during a flatsale your post will be void.
6. One foal per person, per flatsale. The only exception is if you are being a proxy, then you may get one for you and one for a friend.
7. Don't use mules to get extra foals. That is not fair to others.
8. No spamming/excessive bumping. I really rather prefer that chat keep the thread active smile
9. Want to color a pony? ASK FIRST! Please, please, please don't take the lineart to color on your own. Under no circumstances are you to edit, redistribute or sell any art provided by this shop. You can resize to fit in your sig and that is it.
10. Don't harrass the staff. You won't get anything free, we won't lower the price just for you because your best friend's brother's dog's cousin is sick, don't want to hear about how the sale was unfair 'cause you didn't win...
11. Obey all Gaia ToS and all staff members.
12. You may not enter any art provided by this shop into any art contests within or outside of Gaia

FAQ

How can I get a Serendipony?
You can get one through the monthly flatsale, events, or by purchasing a custom! You cannot get one by begging!
How much do they cost, anyway?
Foals are 3k. Breedings will be 5k for 2 foals. For custom prices see the customs post!
How many stages are there?
There are 5 stages! Foal, youth, teen, adult & elder!
That foal looks kinda small, why?
The ponies grow as they age, so they start out a little small. Owners can request the larger, uncerted image if they want it for journals or sigs
So, do I have to RP my serendipony?
No, but it would be nice to have you stop in . There are some other things I have planned for regular RP folks, too. I love reading what people come up with!
How long does it take my pony to grow?
It takes a little over a month for the full growth cycle. Foals take a week to grow to youth, then a week to teen, and two weeks to grow to adult. Elders are only available if you are active in the shop and guild (chatter or rp - not excessive emoticons!)
The price for the custom I want is too high, and I don't want to change my order. What can I do?
There are a couple of options. One is to go down to the staff post and see if they are open to bribery, and if you have any bribe items. Otherwise, you will have to wait for a special sale event. Harper also offers a "pay as they grow" option for the Level 2 growing customs - you pay 6k and get the baby stage. Then you pay 2k to grow to youth and then 1k up to teen and 1k to adult. The pony won't grow until you pay. It's the same price, it just gives you time to raise the funds and still have a pony to rp with!
Do you do art/pet trades?
Maybe. It would have to be a decent pet, though. I am very proud of my ponies! (BTW - I like good avi art!)
Can I work in your shop?
Right now, no. If I need colorists or help, I will advertise for it in the news section. Please don't harass me by asking over and over and over again! Besides, I take preference over people I known for a while (ie my friends!) since I know they are reliable and good artists smile
Do you take items for flatsale or customs?
In most cases yes! I use mid Teh Guide to price by. Current month letters are always accepted, and so is anything on my bribe list smile There are a few things I will not take: anything that can be bought for less than 5k on the market (unless it is in my bribe list) and the following letters and their items: May 2004 (bear/monkey pjs), Nov 2004 (BTK hat/ice gauntlet), Dec 204 (OMFG hat/fire gauntlet), April 2005 (prism mantilla/arachnid breastplate), June 2005 (phoenix circlet/bonehelm), July 2005 (solar headdress/lunar cowl)

As soon as you buy/breed an foal, you can choose what cert it has!
There are two different types of certs, Abstract and Scene. You will not be able to change, so choose wisely!

"This place is perfect! Are you sure you want to let me have it, Mrs. Wells?" I stood in amazement as I looked over the grounds of what could soon be my new home. The elderly woman next to me smiled and chuckled softly.
"Yes, my dear. I am sure.Serendipity brought you back here just as I came to realize I can't keep this place up on my own. I can see you have a good heart and take care of the old house. Not to mention that I know from your grandmother, rest her soul, just how much you love this place."
"Yeah, we talked a lot about this place and the memories here," I said to one of my oldest friends. Some of my earliest memories were here, playing in the garden while my grandmother visited. I remembered long evenings watching the fireflies chase the falling stars as we listened to my grandfather play his beat up guitar on the back porch. "I'll never forget the time Scooter found that rabbit and brought it inside!"
"Yes, that blasted coon hound wasn't good for much but trouble, was he!" she joined me in laughing as we walked back up the path to the house.

"That's the last of it!" I sat back on my heels and looked at my handiwork. Ever since moving in last fall I had looked forward to the spring planting. Mrs. Wells herself had started the seedlings I had just planted, not long before the stroke that had taken her to join my grandmother and her husband in the Otherworld. I smiled as I looked around, there were neat rows of vegetables and herbs in a small area to one side, a newly whitewashed picket fence surrounding them cheerfully. Beds of various flowers surrounded the trees and were scattered throughout the yard. At the edge of the woods that marked the end of the "tamed" land I had scattered wildflowers, and there were alreacy blooms coming up from last year's plants.
Standing up, I dudted off my hands and walked over to the small stone bench in the shade of the large oak that stood sentinel over the yard. Resting on it I let my mind wander through the memories of that which once was.

"Well, Red, what has been getting into these veggies?" I asked my fuzzy red (of course) mutt. Spring had moved to summer, and autimn soon followed with the anticipated crop of squash and other vegetables. Unfortunately it seemed that something else had found my vegetables as well!
"Not rabbits, they would leave more obvious damage," I muttered to myself.
"Grroof!" Casifer answered happily.
"Nope, not gophers either!" I played along. "Wait a minute, what is this?"
I got down on my hands and knees and lifted a large squash leaf out of the way. Looking closely at the ground I could see tiny little...hoofprints? Yes, they were definitly little hoofprints leading under the plants and through the fence where they were lost in the soft grass.
Well, what do you know," I said to Cas, "looks like I have just sprained my sense of disbelief because I think we have tiny little horses living in the garden!"

Aww...foals are so cute! Who wouldn't want to have several babies running around! The cost of breeding is 5k, and two foals are generally the result. The owner(s) of the parents can request identical twins at no extra cost. If there are two owners involved, I must have either a PM or a post from each agreeing to the breeding before it will be done. You decide who gets which foal! Breeding is allowed between any gender, and serendiponies can have multiple mates over the course of their lifetime. Ponies must be at least to the teen stage to breed. Inbreeding is not allowed!
Foals can be given as gifts or raffled/auctioned through the shop (the shop gets 25% of proceeds). They cannot be used as pet trades by anyone other than store staff.
A Fertility flower is available for an extra foal from a breeding. The owners decide what to do with that foal.
Sometimes an extra foal is born to a lucky couple - you never know when this will happen!

Special Ponies
Gods, Angelics and Demons as well as special lineart edited ponies are a little different when it comes to breeding.
For a pony with lineart edits, there is a 20% chance that the edit (or a part of the edit) will be passed on to any foal.
Breeding an Angelic or Demon to another Angelic or Demon will result in Angelic or Demonic foals. Breeding them to a normal pony will give you a 25% chance of a foal being Angelic or Demonic.
Breeding a God to a God will result in truly blessed foals! Breeding a God to an Angel or Demon can result in a demi-God (10% chance) a God (5% chance) or an Angel/Demon foal. A God who breeds with a mortal has a 5% chance of a foal that is an Angel or Demon and a 1% chance of a demi-god foal. Gods and mortals cannot produce another god.

Hair Braid with Feather or Beads: 150g (chose colors for 3 beads and feather)

To order an item for your pony, PM what you want with color choices and location then start the trade. Hair items can be in the mane or tail. Be sure to tell me which pony! Items will grow with the pony.

Plushies
Occasionally there will be a plushie or two here to buy. They are 250g each and can be bought by non-pony owners. Demon plushies are 300g. To purchase, just post that you want it in the thread and send trade. There are also some careless folks who will rarely drop one in the thread - post that you pick it up and it is yours for free! xd

Rarely there will be an all grey plushie with sparkles. It is 500g and you get to pick the colors for it! (in other words, it is a custom plushie!)

Have a specific idea for a pony? Then you have come to the right place! Custom ponies are only available when the one of the spots listed below is open. They are first come, first serve. I am quite busy in RL and on Gaia, and it may take me a few days to get your pony colored so please be patient with me!

Level 1: 6k - this is the start range for a single stage custom. This pony will NOT grow without the purchase of a grow flower. Custom colors, no lineart edits. Complex patterns may cause the cost to go up.
Level 2: 10k - single stage pony with moderate lineart edit, growing custom color pony with no edits and simple pattern, elder pony custom with no edits
Level 3: 15k - multi stage pony with moderate lineart edit or complex pattern, single stage pony with major edits (most cosplay ponies will start here.)
Level 4: 20k - mulitistage pony with major edits will start here, this may go up (remember I have to edit 4 stages!),
Level 5: 32k - single stage angelic or demonic pony - will NOT grow
Level 6: 37k - growing angelic or demonic pony

There will be a very few God & Goddess customs allowed. They will START at 50k, the price may go up depending on the edits you want. You get to pick everything - colors, area of rule, gift, cert look - the works! PM me if you are interested and there is an open slot. There are only a few god customs each quarter of the year to keep them rare!

2. Serendiponies are very very small.The sizes are average for each stage. Just as with people the ponies can vary, with some being bigger and some smaller!(measured from the tip of the horn to the ground)
Foals - 2- 3 inches or 6 - 7 cm
Youth - 4 inches or 8 -10 cm
Teen - 5-6 inches or 12-15cm
Adult 7 inches or 17cm
Elder can grow to 8 inches or 20 cm
3. They can fly for short distances, but not very high - no flying over trees!
4. Serendiponies do not associate with humans and most humanoids. They are very shy creatures and rely on staying hidden! This means that you cannot interact with them.
5. Most serendiponies have no magic, except for some minor healing. Some special ones are born with gifts, though, and sometimes other ponies aquire them... ninja
6. Serendiponies can talk to other woodland creatures.
7. Since they are small, they do have some natural enemies! No killing of a character is allowed. Wounding is ok, but please try not to get too gory!
8. For light, "fun" rp in the thread it is ok for you or your other pets to interact with the ponies. You will see me do this on occasion smile It is only for character development or plots that the rule about no interaction with humans applies!
9. Angels? Demons? Gods? How do they fit in? Angels & Demons are genderless, but can be roleplayed as male or female if you chose. They do have some special gifts, demons can breath flame and angels can heal. There are some more as well that we will see as they are roleplayed ninja
Gods & goddesses are special beings with very specific roles in the ponies world. They may or may not show themselves, that is up to them!

Flowerlings

The flowerlings are small humanoid creatures who live in the garden and woods. They are the quentissental free spirits, but will sometimes attach thmselves to a pony either as a friend or as an annoyance! They are the source of the items that the ponies get to wear.
Flowerlings have two stages.
Bud

and Bloom

Flowerlings can fall in love and have buds of their own. There are always two when this happens.

Serendiponies have lots of friends, and since they are so small their friends are too! So far we have met

Among the Serendiponies there are those who walk a different path, they are beings that have travelled a little further along the Spiral set forth by the Mother and thus have a little more about them than the ponies of the mortal coil. This is where you can learn about them.

Angels & Demons
Perhaps immortal is a bit misleading, for these ponies can die to be reborn again as the Mother wills. Some of them seem to have been gifted with knowledge and wisdom, others with a touch of maliciousness. Each type has their own abilities which grow as they gain in years.

Both Angels & Demons have the ability to walk unseen among the mortals.
