Energy beings exist in a dimension of pure energy who have the ability use that energy in other dimensions. These beings seek to increase their power through various manipulations of lower lifeforms (life in the physical dimensions). Some choose non-interference, the slow accrual of power over time; some choose unbiased interference, the wanton spread of chaos to feed their own hunger; but most choose to adopt a race or part of a race, favoring them with knowledge, power, or protection (from the other beings). These gods, rather than entangling themselves in direct conflict, have led their surrogate children into the stars to wage war in their stead.

Magic, Telekinesis, and Technology are brought to bear as nations and planets contend and co-exist in a shrinking universe.
