"That wouldn't be necessary Kimberly." Felix said smoothly, opening the door but minutes later. He wiped dark red liquid off his hand with a white handkerchief, and smiled easily at the group, eyes dangerously dark. "A friend and I were merely finishing a...chat."

He welcomed them into the room and hesitantly Jack went in, shirking away from the other vampire slightly, his eyes noting the dark stain in the wood of the table. The Court members arrived one by one quickly, all save for the human lord. Jack grimaced ever so slightly.

Felix lingered by Kimberly, looking her over with nearly hungry eyes. "And what is it that brings you here again? Miss me at all darling?" He asked innocently, his tone holding a slight purr of darkness in it.

Kimberly rolled her eyes and took a half step back, gritting her teeth slightly at the various memories attuned to her particular suffering under his care. "Not half as badly as I missed the moment I left, if it's any consolation to you." she fired back with a near-hiss. "But, I suppose this is a bad time for me to be so rude, wouldn't it? After all, you got what you wanted, and I'm through with it so why even bother?"
Still he was already between her and the others, and however hesitant she may have been to admit it, she was stuck in no position to be making demands. She would have to play his game, but for once with the confidence to win.
"Now, I'm curious as ever. I'm sure you're well aware I didn't come for you though, so would you mind getting out of my way?" She said, leaning back slightly with arms folded over her stomach. She smiled, just as sweetly and innocently as she expected he'd remember.

"Of course dove," Felix said with a small smirk before turning back to the Court. He paused in his moving away however and looked back. "Do not think for a moment that I was ever finished." He said with a small laugh before taking a seat, Scarlett appearing behind the chair with a slight glare at the Lord, putting a restraining hand on the vampire.

"Well Cortez, what exactly did you have that was so terribly urgent that we were called away from our prior engagements?" The were-wolf, Harrison Morthwood Vanderhoth, asked.

"The sighting of a mutual enemy of ours, and an enemy that can destroy the courts. One and the same...er...sort of." Jack said, glancing around the table, noting his mother's absence.

"How so?" The elf asked, her question aimed at Tessa.

Kimberly paused for a brief moment with a shudder, before stepping in and positioning herself slightly to the side of the rest. What did I ever do to deserve this? she asked herself, watching Felix with an upward glare the entire time.

Tessa blinked, surprised even to be noticed among the others in the courts, but all the same her inquisitor's nature and her own were at the very least less parted from her and the rest, and it only made sense, however little.
"Well it's quite simple." she answered, "Consider the ramifications of a conscious possession. A fairly long-winded fate that I believe one among us has already dealt with for quite some time, and yet you ask me? All I can be certain of is the name 'Isobel'."
Her eyes narrowed, not at anyone in particular - in fact at her own choice of words in Adeska's company. However much she wanted to bite them back and keep the poor girl from contemplating her circumstances any further, she had elected her words for shock value. In and out, was all she really wanted here. Especially after overhearing Felix' immediate prior conversation, which in itself raised more questions than she cared to bring up right at the moment.

Adeska maintained her strong face, but her grip on Miguel's arm tightened softly. The Lords and Lordess looked at each other with raised eyebrows and the necromancer of the group displayed a mild amount of concern, restrained by a swallowing of fear.

"How long have you known this?" The necromancer asked and Adeska spoke up, telling the tale of the tavern. Felix drummed his fingers on the table and Scarlett slid onto his lap, listening intently.

"Are we to listen to an emotionally disturbed girl hardly out of her teen years?" Harrison asked and Jack restrained Mr. Porter with the quick action of his hand on the man's shoulder.

"I would if I were you, or else you may find Hell on your doorstep sooner than you think." Jack said in a low and threatening tone. "This demon is not one to play with, and neither is Neirington. If Isobel were to find her way into the Company, you'd have the entire Courts of Men on your heels faster than the quickest hurricane." This drew murmurs around the room and Scarlett pressed her fingers into her forehead, leaning her elbow on the table.

"And you, Captain Cortez. You would be prepared to fight?" Jack nodded sharply when asked by the elf and his gaze went to Tessa involuntarily. "Then what does the Scarlet Duchess propose?" She asked the wedded couple and crew.

"Funny, how things cycle through..." Tessa murmured to Jack before flitting a hand out to him. "If it's the one thing I've learned about Isobel, it's that she doesn't let anything go. So far between all of what's happened since I met you, she's died twice with the blood on our hands. I don't think we're being given a choice here, are we? That and I'm not sure what I wouldn't give to see her dead with some permanence. Definitely your decision though; we could use a relaxing change of pace too. I'm all for jumping into this, but I'd also try to be smart about this."
Kimberly bit her lip and looked over to Adeska, gravitating slowly over to her and Miguel as if to provide whatever moral support she may for the situation at hand revolving the girl.

Jack thought for a moment, looking to Tessa in his line of thought. "However, diversions buy time, and time provides planning." He looked back to the Courts.

"Give us time and let us get to neutral territory with Henry at least. He out of the two of them will want to negotiate." Jack said declarative. Adeska blinked a few times, realizing that they would in fact see the demon again.

"Where's mother?" She murmured into Miguel's chest as she tightened her hold on him. He looked at Kim with slightly pleading eyes. Meanwhile, Scarlett rose her head and looked at Jack with a small smile and a shake of her head.

"Come now, don't be foolish. Here we have numbers and supplies, and ships." She said, standing and leaning on the table. Jack rolled his eyes.

"Aye, but what good is a ship on land? How well trained are our sailors on land? Best to make for a cove and send word for you there."

"Ah, I see. You be the bait and draw her out, and then we come in from behind." the elf said and Jack went back and forth with her for a time arguing that they were not "bait" and the Duchess was merely setting out before them.

"Very well. Do we have an accord?" Jack asked after admitting partial defeat. Felix laced his fingers together and leaned forwards, eyes looking at Kimberly the entire time.

"Aye Captain Cortez." He said, narrowing his eyes at Kim with a small grin before his gaze flickered over to Jack.

"Lets go." Jack murmured in Tessa's ear before beginning to move out of the room.

Kimberly rushed out a hand to Jack's arm and caught him just before he was out the door, her eyes burning with a fair amount of severity. "It's come to my attention you're trying to figure a few things out about me. With permission, I'd like to stay behind and discuss something with Felix. It may be in your interest maybe for someone to witness, in the event it answers any questions you might have. I don't mean to get in the way, of course."

Jack nodded and thought for a moment before talking with Mr. Porter and taking Adeska under his arm, resumed his way, leaving Miguel to shudder, feeling his all too mortal heart flutter warily in his chest. He glanced back to Jack before sighing and resigning himself to witness what needed witnessing.

"Why don't you head to our chambers darling." Felix said to Scarlett in her ear, and the red-head obeyed silently, casting a speculative glance at Kim before heading out.

Kimberly laid a reassuring hand on Miguel's shoulder for a brief moment and a smile. "I apologize in advance, but let's hope it's an unnecessary apology for the sake of everyone involved, say?"
She turned her attention to Felix, hands on her hips and posed in a slightly defiant position. Her eyes burned with several mixed emotions, each of which individually flickered in her image of the man, but none rang out quite any higher than the rest.
"You know Felix. For someone who claims never to have been done you have a bit of a short-sighted view. Do you by chance remember the terms of our agreement when I landed in your so-called 'care' that hundred and twenty years ago? Give and take, as it were. Your shelter for what little blood you've ever left me to live with. Take one away, the other falls and I've definitely moved past that period of my life. Now, my question is quite simply this; how therefore do you somehow manage never to have finished, like you told me?"

"Ah yes." Felix chuckled and rose, moving smoothly around the table, coming to lean against it. "However you failed to calculate one thing little dove." Felix said, suddenly advancing and catching a piece of Kimberly's hair in his hand. He examined it for a moment before looking down at Kim with a small smile. "Blood comes back with time and feeding, and power grows stronger." Felix looked over to Miguel for a moment with a chuckle.

"Do you even remember, dove, how powerful the pair of us were? How...unstoppable?" Felix asked, circling Kim like a lion circling prey. "We could be that way again, and show this silly naive group of pirates what the Courts really could be." Miguel's breath hitched.

"You plan a rebellion." He breathed and Felix laughed, the sound traveling across the empty courtroom.

"A revolution boy." Felix said before pausing behind Kimberly's left shoulder, his fingers trailing down her neck softly. "Think it over dove. You, a ruler, just as Kalrael is." He whispered in her ear before moving on past her and resuming his lean against the table.

Kimberly bit her lip and narrowed her eyes at Felix, before her lips twisted into a slight smirk. "You always did have a problem keeping secrets, Felix. Here, let me inform you of another perspective."
She lifted a hand, in which a series of light cyan sparks glistened in a weblike pattern about it to create a sort of holy field about its vicinity, and her eyes betrayed an honest warning in her stare at him.
"The two of us could easily show this silly naive group of pirates what the Courts could be, true. This ironic, fearless group of pirates could just as easily show the Courts what they could be, and the difference is I would stand at the end with the satisfaction, in place of the end with the submission. It's not a very hard decision Felix."
The field died down, and she simply smiled the same way she had before stepping in for the meeting as a whole.
"Now, I do believe I wasn't kidding when I said I was through as I stepped out of your front door. But, since evidently you'd forgotten in your old age, allow me to remind you; I'm through playing your little games, pig. Anything else?"

"Naive foolish youth." Felix snarled, roughly shoving Kimberly in a floor-wards offensive move. "Have you forgotten that your feathers have scarleted at my hand before dove?" He asked cruelly. "I still have that power, and this time I won't be so foolish as to let you keep a drop left in your veins."

Miguel paled and stepped forwards, only to be shoved back by Felix and he hit his head on the doorframe and promptly fell unconscious. The vampire glowered at Kimberly. "See the problem with you dove is that you fail to realize that I am not above speaking with the demon and sending her on her way to Kalrael's castle. Nor am I above her taking Adeska along for the ride, seeing as her mother is too far distracted with her reunion with her lover." Felix said, circling Kimberly slowly.

Kimberly glared up at Felix with gritted teeth, and looked over to Miguel for a moment before sighing. No sense in being hesitant anymore, let alone that she figured the man could trust her to some mild extent. She rose to her feet and backed into the wall, hatred mixed with a mild fear. "You would, wouldn't you? Kal has nothing to do with this, why would you drag him in like this? I know you have a way with being low but really?"
She stepped forward, unafraid. In the back of her mind she could see a dozen and more potential options in the event he got violent again.
"This is between you and I, Felix. I told you already, I'm through with your idiocy. That's final, and if you're not going to get yourself killed you're going to leave it at that. Can I be even remotely more clear on that matter?"

Felix laughed. "You never were done dove. Why else would you be here? You could have ignored me, moved on, not come to Council in the first place, and yet here you stand. You still forget that I draw but a single drop of blood and this will be over." The vampire chuckled. "You still hold yourself over me however you neglect to observe but one detail. I still have the Courts and you have what? Jack Cortez and a newborn vampire? Hah!" Felix shook his head, the feathers threaded in his hair swaying slightly.

"If you are so insistent on saying one final farewell to me I had suggest you leave before I give into my temptations." Felix warned, looking up from Miguel and drawing his gaze of Kim's body excruciatingly slow. "Although I daresay this isn't the last time we will be seeing each other." He murmured with a chuckle.
