Kimberly nodded, a passive if contemplative stare falling over her face as she sighed, quite defeated. "I guess I should leave you to it then; I'm sure you have a lot to think about without me around. It'll turn up eventually, I'm sure it will. Has to at some point, right?"
She smiled, stepping soundlessly through the cabin's doorway and perching effortlessly on the railing, just watching in perfect balance as the sea went by. "And yet, when it always does come to a better point it's never seen, is it?" she asked herself, looking up at the sky with a breathless, noiseless sigh.

Turning, Nicholai smiled with a hint of apology in his soft green gaze. "Pardon me, I did not mean to overhear you miss, er, oh! You are part of the crew aren't you?" Nicholae said with recognition, linking Mr. Porter's previous speech to the crew with her being one of the few females aboard. He looked her over discreetly as he cracked his knuckles.

Kimberly remained still for a moment before turning her head to regard the stranger who had interjected on her monologue. "Recently, yes." She said insofar as the man's question as she spun herself off the rail and stood on deck. "But as for what 'it' is, the best word I can think of to reference would be fortune. It's a pretty hard to find in any positive light these days."
She took a step forward, but the scent of the man and what work he had been through caught her off guard and she halted where she was, keeping herself at bay more than anyone else. She gave an acknowledging nod, clasping both hands behind her back. "Can't say I've seen you around before. Kimberly Sarani, and you are...?"

He said, leaning against the railing, keeping his gaze on her. He wasn't trying to obtrusively look her over, but he couldn't help but notice her cute frame. Soon his eyes drifted back to her face and he blushed gently.

"Actually this is my second, in a weird sense." Kimberly said with a shrug, jumping back a half-step but holding herself still with a single foot very nearly touching the deck. In her suspension a slight focus could be seen playing across her face, keeping her attention idly sustained. "It's not something I enjoy talking about though, as it was really less 'crewman' and more 'plaything' at the time. Long story, something I'd rather put behind me."
She touched back onto the deck and landed both feet without a sound, leaning on a hand at her side and watching Nicholae's movements - particularly his eyes. "In any case I appreciate the offer. What about you though? What's your business here?"

It was plainly written in his eyes that he knew exactly what had transpired, and it could be guessed that his was the human lord Felix had so feasted on. "So I've been a crew member here, filling out where I can. Perhaps I will depart when we next reach a pirate port." He said, turning back to Kimberly with a brief smile. "So is it by some cruel design that Mr. Porter and Captain Cortez placed within our midst a very lovely young woman?" Nicholae's tone was light and near teasing, but also flattering in a nearly shy way.

Kimberly raised a hand to her face and hid it briefly but not quite well enough to muffle her giggle much at all. "Originally, perhaps. I was on my way back to my home just off the Tessalonian coast but I found out rather quickly that I didn't have a whole lot to return home to, and the ship seemed interesting enough to keep me occupied, so I took measures to stay aboard."
She shrugged, as if she had no interest in even what she was saying. "Why ask though? You look like the kind of man who wouldn't have to ask that sort of thing anyway."

He said, although his eyes betrayed that he had meant exactly what he had said before. The man viewed her as lovely, that much he couldn't help. However acting upon that urge...he wouldn't dare. The need to prove himself as having better morals than the other's on the ship was high. Even still, it was tempting, and he wasn't one to yield from temptation too very long.

She leaped forward to him, seeming to fade immediately upon stepping out and reappearing as she finished the hopping step, whereupon she removed the man's hat to better see his eyes, which she herself viewed in her ever-playful manner. "I imagine you might have known that already, mm? So let's assume you're right in your self-judgement. What exactly is it you're after so quickly as to go blindly?"

"Perhaps I was merely remarking upon your appearance as to flatter you, hmm?" The man let his eyes run down Kimberly again, knowing fully well that she was watching him.

Kimberly closed her eyes for a moment and shook her head, smiling slightly. "Well at least you know how to be a gentleman about it when you do," she remarked, "but judging from stray glances I'm going to have to assume that's not exactly true now is it?" She took a half-step back and handed back the man's hat, pausing momentarily to glance aggravatedly at the sudden rush of sunlight.
"But I digress, I'd much prefer to know the man so pursuing me before I step blindly, Mr. Achmideus. And... preferably somewhere not quite so bright. What do you say then, mm?"

Kimberly hopped down below deck and made her way to her quarters, figuring it would look better for both their cases if it didn't show much appearance of anyone being forced and besides, she was still more interested in conversation than anything else - excepting perhaps getting out of the daylight. Once the both of them were inside she decided to be both a little testy and accommodating to the man behind her, and subsequently slid off her coat, revealing the underlying sleeveless white shirt that matched her leggings quite well, but also did a fine job placing accent on her frame. She hopped onto the bed and sat down at its head, indicating rather the entirety of the room.
"Maybe not much for show, but have a seat." she invited, "So tell me about yourself. What happened with the last ship you were on?"
