((*still could not wait for nan desu kan*..yes, I remember last year..I went into total convention withdrawl after that...and probably will again this year too...but I hope to see you guys around....can't see Maes as Envy or M as Scar sadly, but I can dream....*poked everyone's gamestations*...lucky people...but I have been playing video games for a few months now..whenever my friends decide I don't know enough...ddr and computer games since the 7th grade, but things like MC, FFX, and so on...are all new...I would be going into the third year of highschool, although I got mistaken for someone's child visiting the school on several occassion, or as a freshmen...such is being short and looking/acting like a child...but congrats on sleeping quite a bit, drawing things, which is a skill I lack when it comes to people and anime, and about your birthday coming up...my parents forgot I had one, so I kinda forgot too until someone reminded me.....))

Shadow of Fire Not a plastic katana. A real one, I think I might be able to find one. I could get a yukata if I wanted I suppose but I think I want a kimono more. Either or I guess in the end. Jezi says I should go on e-bay. I need money though...
My dad bought a real katana a long time ago off a catalog, imported from Japan. The blade is heavier than the sheath which is how they really are. I still don't think a Samari could beat A Knight. The katana is too small, it wouldn't beable to cut through solid reinforced steel, maybe pierce it; then again it would be a flesh wound. Not to mention everybody is biased, just because a Samari wears leather everyone thinks they're faster than Knights. Well news flash, knights weren't slow. You're talking about a guy who walks around in 150lbs of reinforced steel and the blade alone is 40lbs. They do this all their lives so they were built for it, thus they were quicker than what everyone thinks. Everybody says a Samari was noble, they were nothing of the sort. They raped, pillaged, and stole whatever they pleased; causing the Ninjas to be born which did us all a big favor. YAY NINJAS! |

DarkRybrin ((*she poked her short sword and katana* yes..I like my swords..the short sword is a little sharper then the katana, but I hope to remedy that problem..*wished she had an e-bay account now*..anyway..most people who are anime fans or in someway go for the traditionalist style have real swords..I don't care so much about decoration, it's as long as they work...*quick nod* that's just how it should be..the sheath should be much lighter then the sword..although both preferably light for little people like me...*blank look* actually, a Samurai could easily beat a Knight with the proper strategy, it just is unlikely...katana are made to be small for specific, accurate hits...and knights certainly were not slow by any means...*started laughing now* the early Samurai were in fact noble, with a strict set of codes, but they quickly became terrible criminals...*had to smile about the ninjas*...yes...they kick everyones butts....funness...but anyway..I perfer Samurai and ninja over Knights anyday, and then ninja over Samurai, you nailed it Mr. M!...*watched Fire*...maybe you could let her do what she wishes? She might wear herself out..))
The only strategy a Samurai could use would be either impaling with large sharp objects or going for open joints in the armor. I just think it's funny how people think a Samurai could easily beat a night without any problems yet if a Samurai and a Knight were to clash swords, the katana would snap. A Knight doesn't even cut anything with a great sword, it crushes.
I prefer Knights because the way they fought, you didn't have to be great to be a soldier but you had to be great to be a Knight. |
