[Accidental Affinity]

our show is is called en fuego (on fire in spanish) to the music of malaga by stan kenton. its hecka cool. its like this latin-jazz-big band thing, and we're supposed to be fire. its coming along pretty good so far (because our show desiner is a genius) and i can't wait for camp ^_^

Ok, ok, ok. Now that it's out in the open on our website, I can talk more about it.

"So You See..." is the title of our show. The beginning is all original composition by our directors friend, it's crazy fast and there's so much hard rifle work going on. 21 girls on the floor just takin on crazy rifle work. Within a minute and a half, there are capriel fives going up, backbend sixes, split jump fives, and various other smaller tosses. Then it moves to a dance and flag section, then sabre/rifle/flag at the same time. It's fabulous. And the techno, which I am fighting to keep my spot on the fifty at.

It's gonna be sooo good! We have 3.5 minutes of drill and most of the work filled in for that. This is our last week till the thursday after New Years. Then we have three weeks to finish the last 1.5 minutes.

it's kinda dead here but. Sacred Heart world '07 is doing "The Art of war". I'm filling a whole that came and I hope everyone that cmpetes in any nesba, emss, or wgi sees us. I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful season. heart

I'm from Warren Central. And let me know what group your in, I'd love to meet up with you at finals. I met Neko last year at Prelims at WGI. It was fun.

I'm with the University of Louisiana Winterguard (I know, we're so creative rolleyes They wanted to name it something like At First Sight, but I think they forgot about it)

We've got all our drill and most of our work and our new floor has arrived! It's digital (and expensive), so we have to be extra careful with it....... We've already gotten ink on our dance shoes, so we're practicing in socks..... The image is the Vatican staircase - hence "Stairway to Heaven."

Our uniforms are ready, too. They're light orange and have a spiraling skirt over leggings. They're very pretty and make us all look thinner! *thumbs up*

Neko, you're silly. Make you look thinner. But I suppose it's a good thing, maybe. I haven't seen your guard this year! JK. We have skirts too, but you know that since you saw us two weekends ago. I wish we wore dance shoes. I really do. But I had to wrap my toe and the white tape was pink from the purple paint on the floor by the end of the day. x.x

We got first place at the Pensacola regional! (78.6)

Awesome job! We got first at the Dayton Regional with a 81.8. Since then, our scores have gone up to 86.7 this past weekend.

I really like you're outfits. The girls' dresses/skirt things are so pretty.

I don't particularly care for our own. They're so one colored...but they look good on the floor and make us look "grown up." Well, so says our director.
