Well, most of you know me as Alabastor Pianostring, Ala, AP or Allah, but in all actuality, my name is Erin. It's a pretty name, and my English teacher observed that I look rather Erin, which I would have to agree, because I've always considered Erin a plain name, which, physically, I am. I am okay with that.
I have no self-esteem. Say what you want, say what you will, but I will take it and possibly not change my opinion. No offense to you, but that's just how I am.
My passion for academia stems from the knowledge that my physical situation will not get too much better, despite the fact that I still have physical changes ahead of me. Also, it's rather affected my relationships, though I don't know if for the better or not. For instance, when I meet a guy, I'll initially be their friend. If I have any attraction to them, I almost immediately squash that desire because the fact of the matter is, I will most likely not date them. If guys are interested in me, I'm probably not interested in them either.
Probably. Who knows what will happen to me?
I work for a museum. An Air & Space museum. I sell memberships. Good PR experience for someone who still is in high school.
Which is another interesting thing. Most adults I come across assume I'm in college, but my friends, if asked how old they think I look, would say 14 to 15. Amazing the difference in perception between teenagers and adults.
It gets me thinking.
Like for one thing, is my lack of style, but still the utter confidence and compsure I present a more adult trait, so adults key in on that familiarity and immediately associate me with them? And for kids, because they see style and physical compsure in teens as a sign of maturity view my lack of style as a more immature trait? Even though when I open my mouth, my worldly knowledge is much more than theirs? cool
Anyways.
Random facts!
1. My mother was in labor with me for over 7 weeks (but she had meds to keep me in her belly so I could develop).
2. I only feel aroused with music on.
3. My favorite color is either blue or pink.
4. On Gaia, I'm always questing.
5. I can reread books over, and over, and over again.
6. I still play rather childish games.
7. I still watch Disney.
