In the interests of simplicity and to eliminate the need for development, I propose a Risk-like combat system to be called upon should it prove necessary in a particular altercation. The system is simple:
- Each player rolls three six-sided dice. - The first die belongs to the player who rolled it; the other two dice belong to his opponent. - Players add up their dice and the player with the lower total must take the difference in soul casualties. - Souls are the equivalent of Risk armies. Players get one soul per being in their party in the specific altercation.
This system is intentionally simple and harsh. Primarily we would rely on the textual debate we've used in the past, but if the debate stalls or grows too winded, we would fall back on this simple system to determine the winner. It's a bit like using rock-paper-scissors (or PNC if you prefer) to determine who gets to say what happened. It is not intended to be realistic or to replace the old way of doing things or to be permanent. It's just something to let us get started with the actual roleplay.

Quick fix is a go.
Proposal from the other D's and I: D&D version 4. Talk to either of them for the PDF's. Given the Pen-and-paper origin of the game, I think that it easily translates to Gaia.
I'm still having trouble with yours.

I have the PDF now, but it would still be nice if somebody could post a Guild version of the D&D system.
