Pation and Gardens
Stepping out through the side doors of the ballroom, you enter a cool area, lit by fanicful lanterns and moonlight. Behind you, you can hear the sounds of the party, but it isn't truly noticeable. The patio on which you stand is large and built in the shape of a semi-circle. Going to the rail, you can see three steps leading down into the garden, and vibrant greent grass cut impecably smooth. Fireflies dance about among the trees, bushes and vines that make up one of largest castle gardens.
A few yards away from the short stair flows a burbling brook with a small stone bridge crossing it to a path that twines into the gardens. Its soft, chuckling music soothing to someone seeking a bit of privacy, or just an escape from the dancers. There are other nooks tucked awy within the peaceful resort. Some are built in the shapes of many-petaled roses, others, like the lotus. Each one is set within its own grove and section, making it possible for many people to occupy the same area without ever bothering one another.
From this patio, one can see rose gardens, tucked in one corner, a bamboo grove in another provides shelter for a Koi pond, and ancient trees occupy a third position. Despite the many differences and contrasting styles of the gardens, they all fit together beautifully, into one large piece of art. Simply looking upon it makes one wish to explore its depths, or maybe stand spellbound, gazing on in admiration for the gardener's art.
