Language Arts Taught by Echo for for all stages in the Academy.
Rules:
Please only post when the class is labeled [OPEN].
You may enter TWO Nightmares/Daydreams per stage.
Look below to see what activities are available, choose the one that is appropriate to your Nightmare/Daydream's stage.
Make sure to include all activity instructions in your post along with your response. Failure to do so will render your participation void for growths/graduation.
If the activity has a 'fail' mechanic, you do not need to use the form for a failed roll. You may still put a little rp response to the 'fail', but when you get a 'pass', please use the form!
All in-thread posts should contain a roleplay response. There is no minimum word requirement unless otherwise stated.
New! The ending date is the ending date (28th of every month) whether or not I am here/have the spoons to post the close notice or not. Any entries posted for the month past the 28th of that month will not count for that month OR the next.

Freshling Class Activity;
Be a Good Leader
Starts: First Sunday of Every Month
Ends: The 28th of every month, 11:59p, MST
"What are the traits of a good Leader?"
Rules:
Student picks a popular character that is assumed to be a leader of some sort. (Examples; Sokka from A:tLA, Aragorn from LotR, Shang from Mulan, or Commander Shepard from the Mass Effect series to name a few)
Student explains what traits the character has that makes them a good leader in their eyes. This must be 100 words or more.
Post a small RP response in thread with your student's reaction to the assignment.
Word count for the RP response must be 100 or more words total!
Don't worry, there is no way to actually fail!

Junior Class Activity;
A Different Point of View
Starts: First Sunday of Every Month
Ends: The 28th of every month, 11:59p, MST
"Haven't you ever wondered about the other side of Fairy Tales? Like Maleficent, the Big Bad Wolf, or one of Cinderella's Stepsisters' story? Well...Let's see what you got!"
Rules:
Based on "The True Story of the Three Little Pigs" (by Jon Scieszka). This tells the "Three Little Pigs" story from the wolf's point of view.
Students will think of a story that they know well, and to write another version from another point of view.
Word count must be 250 or more words total!
Don't worry, there is no way to actually fail!
Please note! You are allowed to use already-existing stories such as Wicked or Maleficent, but please make sure you note that you are doing so if it's not your own creation!

Senior Class Activity;
A Different Planet
Starts: First Sunday of Every Month
Ends: The 28th of every month, 11:59p, MST
"I have several pictures here. We're going to create planets based around them!"
Rules:
Roll a d100.
Based on the picture rolled, your child will write about an imaginary planet based on it.
--Must describe what kind of life-forms inhabit the planet.
--Should try to describe the climate, plants (if any) and wildlife!
Word count for the response must be 250 or more words total!
