So we need some banners. I'm looking both for the 197x33 pixel "preview" banner (since the one I made sucks), and just anything to put in the guild homepage and guild thread. I don't have the photoshop skillz to pay the billz, so that's where everyone else comes in.
Post your entries here, max of three total. The creator of the winning homepage/thread banner gets 5K gold; the preview banner gets 3K gold. I might throw in a surprise item or up the prize or both, we'll see.
It goes without saying that the name of the guild should be somewhere on it. xp
There's no entry fee, of course. 3nodding
Keep an eye out, I might have more contests in the future.

Hey, this sounds like something I'd happily do.
What are the preferred dimensions for other banners? At least, the max and/or minimums for the graphics. Also, are there any specific or type of images you would like included, other than the guild name?
Oh, and when does the contest end? ^.^

It ends....when I say it ends. I want to have at least a few different people entering, so that may take a little while, since the guild is brand new and all. So maybe by the end of April? I've never had my own guild before so I don't know how long it'll take to recruit a fair amount of members.
The smaller banner is 197 x 33. Maybe something like 320 x 240 for the homepage and thread banner? Anything to put in signatures is also welcome, like 320 x 98 or so. Or like those userbars you see everywhere, (350 x 20) I like the aesthetic of those, even if sometimes the text is silly.
There won't be a prize for signature banners, though. They're not limited by just one spot for a preview banner, guild homepage, etc, so there's no need to choose. If anyone wants to do those, it's just a for-fun bonus. Maybe I'll think up a prize for the person who makes the most wink but that's about it.
As for what to include in them, I leave that entirely up to your artistic discretion. Like I said, just include the name. Things can be plain or blinking or animated, whatever.

Oke, sounds good. I'm glad about the length of the contest, as I never really know how much time I have to do things and I'm a great procrastinator! ^.^ Hopefully I'll have some time next week.

Thanks! Needless to say, I'm going to be extending the deadline for this contest a bit. I'll start thinking about putting a set date down when I've got at least two entries in, but for now, work at your leisure.
Sorry I haven't been around much, I've been busy/tired lately. As soon as the semester's over I should be on a bit more.
