She snorted quite unlady-like and said as she looked at her palms,

"My hands aren't grubby and please,"she stated with a roll of her eyes,

"If I was really touching your "temple","she said emphasizing the word with quote fingers,

"Then my hands wouldn't be on your head,"she said with a slight smirk before grabbing some of the peach cider and felt herself grinning as the cinnamon peach liquid poured into her mouth. Placing the bottle down she licked her lips for any remnant of the sweet tasting liquid before saying,

"Plus at least your hair looks alright, although I'm sure any minute it will start sticking up again."

"I make all of the combs in town quiver," He winced, running his fingers through his mane idly, straightening it into an orderly fashion with a single swipe. Cocking an eyebrow slightly, he shrugged it off, taking another slow drought from his flask.

Flashing his silver teeth, Matthew cocked his head at the black angel,
"So you'd just run into the building to play with the drapes?" He chuckled, clearing the thin syrup from his fair lips with the cleft of his thumb. Although thick and warmly free-flowing, the cider rested evenly as it trickled through his mouth. With a content swish, the Lord took another slow pull from the rich fluid.

She rolled her eyes as she sat cross legged on the ground, the towel streching across her knees so that you could see the top of her calves. With one hand she held up her towel, being careful to keep it tucked in because that's all she needed was her towel to come flying off.

"Yeah I love those drapes,"she said sarcastically, emphasizing drapes with another roll of her eyes. Glancing at the cider with longing she reached her arm out, getting on her knees and leaning forward to grab the jug,

"Well I think you've had enough of that and I'll just take it off your hands."
PostPosted: Tue Oct 17, 2006 10:29 pm

"Gluttony's a sin you know," The silver-maned Lord laughed warmly, handing the jug off the black-winged angeless lest she lean forward too far. Giving his damp hair one last shake, Matthew rose up to pull the clothing away from the fire. Snapping each item a few times to ward off wrinkles, he handed Hitomi her slim dress before turning his back politely.

'How many sins are there?' He sniffed philosophically, 'If our Father is truly all-knowing and forgiving, for what purpose would he denounce our evils so harshly?' Although the Church's followings were strict at best, the youth often made the daily masses a bit more inclusive by dropping some of the formalities. Women would often wear a comfortable pair of pants, and if someone was late, Matt was among the first to fill them in. Without the ominous background of a stuffy building, and uncomfortable requiem, the higher ranked officials had slapped their brow at the Lord's results, drawing more than seventy percent of the onclave into active participation of the daily devotions.

"Then again, sometimes you have to pull the stick out and have fun," He chuckled, folding his shirt neatly before pulling about a wing. Molt, though only once every couple of years, was usually an ongoing process; Feathers came in just as quickly as they fell out of an angel's lustrous wings, and to summarize the process... It itched! Plucking the offending quill, Matthew twirled the silver feather in front of his eyes as he waited on the girl.

She took the garment from his outstretched palms, and watching his back warily for any signs of peaking she let the cloth that covered her nude body fall to the ground in silence. Wriggling into her clothes, she sighed as the fabric cascaded down her back before ending a few inches above the ground. Readjusting certain aspects of her clothing she turned her attention to the back of Matthew's head and asked without really thinking,

"Why are you celibate?"she blurted out and she shook her head rapidly, suprised at her unexpected outburst,

"I mean, why do you need to be? I just don't understand it, what does it do for you? Celibacy?"she asked, question after question spilling out of her mouth. She didn't know what made her ask it, maybe it was his previous acknowledgement of sin, or maybe it had been truly troubling her since she had found out.

"I suppose it's a personal belief," He chuckled, crossing his arms against his slim, bare chest. "Heterophobia or something alike." With an amused smile, Matthew cocked his head over his shoulder with a wink. "If every angel out there was bound to celebacy, we wouldn't last very long. If you really must know," Twirling a finger through one of his overhanging bangs, the silver-maned youth gave an emberassed laugh, "I'm completely terrified of female anatomy."

With a carefree shrug, the Lord tossed his shirt onto the ruined couch he'd previously sat upon. Coming with a familiar ring from Hitomi's mouth, the question seemed to pang a memory from the back of his mind, involving two splashing kids and a flying tackle through the moist sand. 'Sometimes I think I have amnesia,' Matt laughed to himself, risking another peek over his shoulder. "Are you decent?" He teased, sticking out his tongue to add prod to injury.

She stuck her tongue right back out at him,

"Yes I'm decent, don't worry,"she said with a teasing grin as she sat back on her haunches, a contemplative expression replacing her smile.

"Personal belief?"she repeated looking at him,

"But I mean if that's it than why are you so..."she stopped, and thought about the right word to describe him by. An image flashed in her mind, an image of him tickling her before giving her that odd expression that he would sometimes get.

"So you..?"she said, confusion showing plain in her usual hard silver eyes as she bit her lip nervously,

"I mean what's the point of celebacy?"

"Beats me, I just don't like fluid wars," Matt laughed, dropping back into the couch with an explosive cloud of dust, "I mean, do you go about throwing yourself at every male object that moves out there?" Fanning the dust into oblivion with his wintery wings, the youth checked his gloves for remnants of the clinging mites. "The interest is there, I'm simply not interested in chasing it," He corrected with a descisive nod, squishing his pectorals together in obvious mockery.

"Alot of people feel that living a 'pure' life will get you closer to God," He sighed, regretfully sinking into preacher mode, "But I believe that as our Father's children, there's probably no better gift to offer up than grand-kiddies. I'm not against sleeping with people—and often it's necessary on missions in the far north—but I really don't want to sleep with anyone."

She raised an eyebrow at his remark but still only let a small smile cross her face,

"But that still doesn't answer my question,"she said her small smile becoming wider,

"I understand that your just not interested but..."she paused for a second,

"Why do you act like you are?"Her gaze became more piercing as she stared at him although her smile just became bigger; it was an unnerving combination, the intensity of her eyes and the width of her smile.

"Just wondering."
PostPosted: Wed Oct 18, 2006 8:29 pm

"Just to confuse you," Matthew sighed patiently, flicking his eye into a wink, "I may be celebate, but I'm not dead!" Leaning back into the comfortable couch that seemed to be stuffed with more dust than stuffing, the young Lord pulled his wings across his athletic body like a cloak. "Besides, if I was stuffy about it, I'd just be another stuck-up priest standing outside of the ring," He added with a celebratory finger wave.

"My turn for a question," The silver-maned youth sniffed, "Why are you so interested?" Sitting forward against the dipping cushions of the couch's grasp, Matt rested his arms across his knees, clasping his palms together to create a resting place for his chin.

Her smile softened a bit but her expression did not and she answered simply,

"I already said I'm just wondering,"she replied loftily leaning back on her haunches before plopping on the ground and crossing her legs indian style. She looked down at her crossed legs for a moment before looking back up at him with a curious expression, her eyes still shone with intensity yet it had a different feel to it and her smile had become much smaller as if she was laughing at some private joke,

"Plus sometimes you really didn't act like you had taken any oath,"she said with a laughing twinkle entering her eyes, her mind alive with memories of them long ago.

"But like you said,"she shrugged,

"It's just to confuse me, but I'm not sure why you want to confuse me."
PostPosted: Wed Oct 18, 2006 8:48 pm

"It's a personal oath," He nodded, "Like promising to leave the last twinkie for Belial, even though you want it really, really bad." Strumming his fingers together idly, Matthew brushed his bangs out of his eyes, giving his entire mane an over-the-shoulder flick. "As for confusing you, it just comes naturally, spaz," the youth chuckled, "You kind of remind me of someone... And this time it's not old Freya..."

Shrugging once more, Matt leaned back in the couch to look up into the ruined rafters overhead. Although much of the wood work had been torn out, the stone masons who constructed the building designed the roof to fall into itself, utterly saving the structure from implosion. The only real necessity of the wooden rafters had been decorative, if not lending some outer strength.

She nodded solemnly before a giggle erupted from her mouth,

"You call me a spaz when you can't even remember,"she said following his gaze up to the roof,

"Anything. And I'm the spaz,"she grumbled before she snapped out of her reverie and asked suddenly,

"Were you just comparing me to a twinkie?!"
PostPosted: Fri Oct 20, 2006 10:50 pm

"You bet," Matt winked comfortably, fading in and out of the requiem of raindrops pattering the cobbles outside. Every moment or two, a particularly fat drop would strike with a particularly satisfied thwap, sending spray shooting out across the flowing puddles. "With the golden cakey outside pushed aside, I bet you're just brimming with sugary creme," He chuckled, pulling each glove off with slow precision to avoid the items from turning inside out.

"Besides, it was you who always pleaded with the baker for dessert cakes after hours," the silver-maned Lord sniffed. 'I think I'm starting to piece it together... I don't remember her name as being Hitomi, but this girl has definitely been modified to me somehow...' the white angel hummed, glaring up sharply towards the ceiling for a moment before smiling fondly. "Isn't that right," He laughed, recognition flickering for a moment as Matthew recited one of his favorite childhood jives towards a much younger Hitomi, "Twink?"

Her own face fell slightly as he recalled one of her childlike activities that always seemed to get her into some kind of trouble. She made a face at him, before sticking out her tongue at him childishly,

"It's not my fault, I had to go after hours. The baker's stupid assistants wouldn't let me have sweets, they said something about not wanting to be responsible for what I would do,"Hitomi said slightly frowning but slightly smiling,

"Only the baker would be there after hours and he would give me some if I pleaded with him enough,"the frown had entirely disappeared and had been replaced by a laughing smile,

"You always used to make so much fun of me, calling me Twink and all,"she pouted for a moment at this before erupting into laughter once again as she recalled another memory,

"But then one time I got so tired of it I stuffed the dessert in your face, and then you put some on mine and then,"her laughtered cease suddenly, although she was still grinning but in a more embarassed way as a red blush creeped up her neck and painted her cheekbones,

"And yeah,"she finished nervously,

"That was about it. Those were the good days,"she grinned, the blush still there but had been dimmed slightly as she turned to look at Matthew,

"I can't believe you remembered that."
