DeVars nodded and looked at the savior of ice.

As well as the other savior with a funky penguin following her.

"Great. We'll dream of a time where the world is full of light and music, drinking ice cold drinks on a chilly night breeze."

His eyes now looked again at those weird arrows that Aren gave. "Now, before we dream on, what's are these talismans for again?"

'Wasurareta? Oboerareta? Tatakareta' Claire whispered to his ear, softly, while clinging at his side. 'Mayotteiru. . . ka?'

A long pause. A train of thought marched on his mind as his decisions were being tested strain by strain. Bent at everyside, hammered to the thinnest foil of truth.

'Kikueru. . .', he replied to her.

DeVars took out the arrow she gave and tied it to Claire. "If darkness would make me forget, then so be it. This piece of crap isn't for someone who can't even remember what it's for."

It was harder to untie than he'd imagined it would be. The threads simply kept vanishing as he tugged on them. Aren only smiled, as though she had no idea what was going on, though Illusion was twiddling with it, though finally he succeeded.
"Don't worry, I made extras." She tossed him another. "I don't really take no for an answer, when it comes to something like this. Life or Death situations are one thing. This is quite another. Death would be a mild fate, compared to what lays on the other side of Falling. I won't have a Savior Fall, and I doubt anyone else here will either. I'm just being a bit more direct about it. So wear the little arrowhead to mollify the annoying girl and pretend it's just some kind of trinket. Symbol of friendship, does that work for you?"

Kari's hand almost touched the stranger's, when her eyes narrowed. The semi-clawed hand dropped to her side. "I'm Kari, you could say," she said, looking at him. "Although I don't know you or your snack, there." Kari glanced at the ferret, then turned her attention back to the strange man's face.

Kari's nose twitched. "And you reek of human. Your point? I'm only to be feared if we're to be enemies. And why call me a saviour, O nameless one?"she asked, the last bit completely sarcastic.

"Wrath for lunch," Kari mused, and laughed harshly, almost a bark. "And my nose has gone a bit funny since my snack pulled me here." She relaxed, letting her ears relax and tail fall to a dormant position. "DeVars, you say? Not my idea of a good name, but a species will do as a species does."
