At least the Controls don't let any viruses through... Unfortunately, they rarely let anything else through...

pop-ups are no problem especially if you use mozilla firefox xd my new antivirus is called avast! pirate it's updated daily and I think it's also as good as avg. I also set-up a good primary firewall apart from the standard windows. Also I also have put it a spyware blocker, cookie blocker, file access limiter and the ruthless security ladder on top of it all.
heh. ^ ^; the only virus that can pass through here is a trojan.

http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/It's free! Lightweight! Fast... umm... compared to the other browser around. but - best of all - security packed! xd 3nodding In it's standard configuration alone it can block almost all pop-ups known to sites. Oh yeah - on other OSes... the firefox icon doesn't include the fox thing on it. It's all about copyrights and trademark infringement rules I guess. [[ for technical peeps: Firefox needs special configs to trap OnMouseMove() and OnKeyPress() pop-up triggers... but then again - there are only a handful of sites employing those techniques. ]]

3nodding heheh...
xd it's lightweight and basic - so, if you need more functionality on it, try searching for extensions on the site.
