"Now I know you were just using me, all you really wanted was my kiss!" Kaleb exclaimed, huffing and crossing his arms in front of him before turning away from Vivace. The effect was nearly ruined as he bit his lip in a determined attempt to keep from smiling.

He tossed one hand against his forehead as he mock swooned. "I might just die again if my savoir is just going to toss me away."

Kaleb tried to act indifferent, but it was hard when he was struggling not to laugh. "I won't toss you away, if you don't fake death for kisses." He said in what was supposed to be a firm and uncompromising tone, but didn't quite make it.

He pitched his voice up again so he still sounded like a princess. "But you're always off helping other's and ignoring me so i had to do something to get your attention." He held his hands over his heart as he tilted his head against his shoulder.

At that the young mage put on a near-heartbroken look, and sniffed tearfully. "I... I didn't know... Why didn't you tell me?"

Kaleb blinked as Vivace's words seemed to hit a sensitive spot. He couldn't help everyone, and sometimes his magic wasn't even enough to help the people he cared about most. It was a pretty sobering reminder.
He took off his silly hat and looked away, blushing a bit as he poked at the dragon toy.

Straighting up he blinked. "Did i say something wrong? Sorry i didnt mean to say whatever it was i though we were just having fun." He chewed on his tongue for a moment.

Kaleb looked up and smiled in what he hoped was a reassuring manner. "N-no, don't worry about it." He fidgeted a bit, a little embarassed and a little upset that he had spoiled their time. "W-we are having fun, I was just reminded of something a little painful. I-I'm sorry..." He poked at the dragon a bit more, taking some comfort from playing with it's floppy wings.

Making sure the candy was set aside safely so that it didnt get hurt he practically tossed himself at Kaleb and hugged him. "No painful. We're in a toystore and that means happy and silly and no saddness."

Kaleb almost had the wind knocked out of him, but he was already used to Demyx's enthusiastic hugs and this one wasn't so different. He let out a small sigh and leaned against his friend, comforted much more by the embrace than by the little dragon. "Y-yeah, you're right, I don't have to be sad. Thanks."

Kaleb smiled a little, Vivace's optimistic attitude was nice to hear. He buried his face in his friend's dark coat as he waited for the last of the guilt to leave him, up until that point he hadn't realized there was still so much unresolved emotion left from that day at the beach.

Kaleb looked up and nodded, wearing a bright smile. "Yeah, we have fun things to do. Thanks for reminding me." He didn't pull away immediately though, the contact was still reassuring.
