Addin Calhorn Lawn gnomes? or the Garden veriety? Actually, that widely held belief that they are two different kinds is highly suspect. In most theories on Gnomish culture, the dividend between Lawn and Garden gnomes is practically nil to the point where it is merely a difference of preffered burrows. Lawn Gnomes generally have hallows near by the side of the house, using the house for warmth and protection. They scavanged in the Lawn, out in the open because their burrows than will remain a secret. They are friendly creatures but able to defend themselves. The 'Garden' Gnome is hypothisised to be the small Lawn Gnomes who prefer to use the plants in the gardens for shelter rather than burrows. They burrow under trees and live more like the discernably different veriaty of Gnome known as the 'wild' gnome. Garden Gnomes rarely travel forth into sight, so conclusive tests cannot accuratly be formulated due to the completely rare and random occurance of seeing, let alone engaging in an encounter with a Garden Gnome.

the thing that scares me is that actuly makes sence...but what about the regular gnomes hmm? the techno loveing ones from d&d and warcraft

Nimliiost the thing that scares me is that actuly makes sence...but what about the regular gnomes hmm? the techno loveing ones from d&d and warcraft Those are tall enough to blend into human society for the most part, but tend to love underground homes. Thus, there are two ways for a Gnome to live out their life in their natural setting in a mountian. One is to find a mountain, have one of their race own it or declare it a geographical reserve and then live in peace without distrubance. The second is to become part of the military and spend thier days in underground testing facilities creating things. Who do you think came up with the idea's of tanks? The flame thrower? this highly technical things are gnomish inventions.

Kudos Das No, I'm pretty much certain its upon us xp actually...we have to run out of fuel first, split into small groups and declare a world wide state of emergency devolving into militant law. Then, after a huge wr scattering thousands of people into places they cannot hope to live, the human race will waste away.
