She didn't argue with that. Andrei's sudden appearance made her realize her own state of powerlessness and...made things more complicated between her and her lifemate.

He carried her into the healing room, waving a hoof and creating a soft quilt to set her on. After he put her down, he moved to place some herbs over the candles, making sure to use the ones that he knew were good for clearing the mind and aiding in calming thought. "There you are, Serenata. Do you wish for me to stay?"

Nicholai watched her and smiled, reaching to brush back a piece of her mane. You once mentioned picking a different resting chamber. You look very comfortable in this one.
