Fuuya dipped the towel on the basin's waters and squeezed it until it's only damp.
He meticulously wiped it off Sachi's face and neck and smelling a little, making sure no alcohol smells stay on her facial regions. It did not took more than five times, however, to remove the foul smell about. Should he found some fragrant soap then the work could be easier.
He then followed on to her arms, stopping when he feels she was about to move. Very much under caution not to wake up the sleeping girl.

Her left hand closed slightly, as if clutching something, and she relaxed. The touch of the damp towel recalling the sensation of a water-logged sheet being wrapped around her, as the strange figure scooped her up. A smile showed under the hood, something about it itchingly familiar to the now older Sachi. One small hand wrapped itself into the cloth of the stranger's shirt, grasping lightly as panic left her. She wasn't on her own. Someone had remembered her... She shifted, not restlessly, but settling, getting comfortable as her savior carried her fire-marked child's-body from the holocaust of the building. She never realized, and no one ever told her, that in the next room over, her parents and her brother dreamed in the deepest sleep available to mortals, claimed by smoke, and shortly by fire.
Sachi sighed, relaxing on the wood. Maybe she wouldn't toss herself to the floor again. It was a hope.

He smiled at the sight of innocence portrayed at her sleep. Innocence. Now that was an overstatement. He couldn't help to stop his thoughts from forminng another realization at his part.
'What am I doing right now...?', Fuuya thought to himself, 'Isn't this a medic's job...'
Then who'll be the medic now... that old ... geezer.
No one's left. Not even the girl with the fancy cat about her.
Fuuya stared back at the sleeping Sachi. 'You're so lucky my luck ran out that I got to stay with you... sheesh.'
He continued the nurse-work he so despised to do. At least he kept himself busy for the time being.

"Atsui-nai." She muttered wedging herself into the corner between the expensive glass panes and shutters and the wall. "Not hot." Her dreams had shifted to peaceful ones--the day she beat Sema-san, her nickname for one of the older students under her Master's wing; when 'Aunt' Miranne had taught her how to attract a butterfly, or when she'd out-run all of the boys in her seventh summer, even the sixteen-year-olds. She would not wake until the sun hovered on the edge of the horizon, as if it was unsure whether it wished to set and let the world sleep.

"Yeah... good girl.", Fuuya wished he was the one dreaming, "This way well get you fixed up without the mess of you rolling over or doing other crazy stuff."
"Probably better cause you're not sleepwalking.", Fuuya gave a small smile out as he prepares to do in her legs.

He'd have his chance, no doubt. Or at least, a chance at something like dreaming. No one had ever actually said whether Elves slept, like humans, or meditated. But just so long as she didn't wake up with enough energy to spice his dinner with one of her favorites, he'd be fine. That was easy enough to defend against, though, so he had nothing to worry about at all. She smiled to herself and shifted her head slightly, nuzzling her hand. And all the while, the sun crept down through the sky, veiled like a blushing maiden by the thick cover of the clouds, only finding a place to send spears to the earth in a few odd places.

"Hah!!! All done", Fuuya stepped back and looked at the job he made, "You're a good girl afterall."
No more of that dwarven smell about.
"And... yeah... that took a lot of me.", he took the basin, empty it right outside the inn's doors and made a container with it to get the towels and the muriatic out of the lobby and into the kitchen.
And there he stayed in for about a quarter hour. His lunch was interrupted by some unfortunate demon - and it is very reasonable that he'd continue it now.

There wasn't any reason, except that the innkeeper was still hiding in the storeroom with a handful of customers. And those places were cold. Perhaps that was what Sachi had been going to do? Well, he was on his own. At least, until someone got the all-clear out.

He finally found his beloved ladle and took samples of the three pots.
He forgot all other things right now... and maybe even purposely forgotten about the inn-keeper. Just to get his hands on food.
Sooner or later he'd found out... and that could be after he has his full.

When Sachi woke, finally, she felt like she'd died and her soul had gotten turned around on its way to the realms of the dead and come back to a corpse. Her body felt grainy, like it was full of wet sand. Or lead. Or both. Mabe wet lead powder? She shoved with one arm, and pushed. Her back thumped something hard, and she relaxed against the fram of the window. She closed her eyes, and looked around again. Why was the inn... Oh... Yeah... What had happened...? She clenched her eyes and opened them again. So tired... What happened...? Why was she so tired? She had been about to tell the inn-keeper things were safe...

Fuuya just finished his own fill of the cooks samples and then he remembered about the cook. Sure took the cook long enough to return to his post...
Or maybe he hasn't knew his post was now okay...
Giving the ladle the nice wash and clean it deserves, he put it back to the place he found it and wandered around the kitchen nooks and crannies to see where the people had gone.
Out of the most places he went and gone by he left the storage the last place he would search. Probably because it was the biggest place anyone could guess... and the very obvious place they could hide.
He opened the big rubber-decked doors as cold winds embraced his welcome. Chills were sent down to his spine as he saw these poor people - huddling, cuddling, snuggling each other just to keep warm. "Hey... hey... adult time's over folks - back to work you go.", he said motioning his thumbs an 'approve' pose and pulling it over his shoulder, saying "move out" indirectly.
The people nodded, partially understanding his message and ran outside - most of them thinking of just one place - the fireplace.

Sachi feigned sleep, then fought it off. She'd sleapt enough, judging by the light that filtered through the shuttered panes. Where had the day gone? She watched the room from behind the curtain of her bangs. Strange dreams, though. Some of them were so much closer than my memory recalls. They seemed so real... Then what of the fire? She edged the thought aside for her extra mental capacity to nibble on while the primary thoughts returned to the here and now. She nearly groaned when she saw her spear. She never had finished tending it. It would take forever to get it clean now...

After the people went back to their own places and manned the inn back to operation Fuuya decided his job here was done. He went out of the big work room and went up to the room of his own.
There he slid to the bed and tried to sleep - or just dream... without sleeping.

Just outside the inn, a wide-brimmed hat with a bent cone, a typical wizard's hat, lay in the mud by the door. It was a sturdy hat but appeared discarded. To all inspections it was just a normal hat.

[[Wow, I neglected this place. o.o I'm so sorry crying ]]
The rain never stopped falling. En and Rika were drenched to the bone, the rain no longer a drizzle but pouring. Where all the water came from dumb-founded both cat and girl.
In the hours they'd been out in the rain they'd found nothing. "Damnit!" Rika swore, smashing her fist into a nearby stone wall. The brick cracked.
'Rika, contain yourself!' En ordered, ears to the side, very unhappy about being so wet.
Rika grumbled and turned, ready to give up their search for the time being. Get dry maybe. "Sorry En," She muttered as she headed back to the tavern.
Outside the tavern door a old hat sat in the mud. Rika bent down and picked it up. Looked like a wizards hat. She rolled her eyes and threw the hat up into the air, tossing it to the wind.
