Nicholai inserted himself between Sungold and his lifemate, almost without thought. "And no, young lifemate, they do not. Fortunately for you, we all come this way."

Nicholai took a couple of deep breaths, "Yes of course...I have only recently come into contact with her, so I am still quite raw on the emotional level...And I have no clue what it is that I am doing. I am not comfortable with him being closer to you than I am though..."
