Tuk blinked at the girl.
"Err...I don't think it's worth the effort."
Right...he's just a lazy b*****d and won't bother to say it.
"Plus, who knows if the Firekin'll find him.

"I guess your right" she stared at the unconcious lion. "Well lets go then" she said with a smile to Tukutu.

Ngoyen rolled over, a big swelling on his head. His tail twitched, he yawned, and began pawing the air.

After a nice long nap, the red eyed pup yawned lazily and looked around herself with sleep still filling her eye. "Wonder how long Kicheko has been here?" she asked to nobody in particular, though nobody was really around her. Only things that were around her dead plants, mist, and some sort of shadow.

Still smacking her chops, she then mused aloud "...that wasn't there yesterday...?" Propping her body up, the pup stood up and walked towards the shadow. As she came closer to the shadowy form, soon the creature became revealed.

Not quite sure what to make out of this bird, Kicheko sat her haunches down in front of it and tilted her head curiously to the side, waiting for it to do something.

Ngoyen woke up. It was two days later. Hungry now, he wondered where the others he had been talking to had gone. After thinking it over in his mind, he finally figured out that he was unwanted here. Sad, and stomach growling louder than he ever had, Ngyoen got up, and left the graveyard. This time, bones wouldnt fill him up. Sadly, he wandered out, wondering if he would EVER make friends with the ones that lived there.

Clouds of dead ash formed around a lanky and hunched over figure that slowly made its way back into the graveyard. It was coming from the direction of the southlands. Aqua eyes scanned the place; it hadn't changed at all. The hyena's pelt blended in beuatifully with the surrounds of dull, gray dirt and bones. A sigh came from the creature as she rose her head. It was Mafa; the pup who had lived here so long but left. She had spent the last few months wandering around the southlands. Learning to hunt and fend on her own. She was a lone hyena and no longer enjoyed the company of others. She spent most of her time just sitting around and looking into space.

Her gaze had hardened since she last had been here; hardened against the lions that took her clan from her. A small whuff came out of her maw and she sniffed around. Scents of the past had faded with time; she didn't know if there was anyone left. Slowly the pup made her way to the big elephant skull where she had last seen Banzai all those months ago. He was gone; everyone was gone. With a gruff sigh the juvinile hyena hopped swiftly onto one of the tusks and looked out onto the land. Her head rose up and Mafa let out a shirll hyena laugh; annoucing her presence. This hyena was finally home.

"Why should I go back there Kisa?" a voice said as two figures began to head down the hill which leaned over the graveyard.

The bird, which was flying beside the creature which had initially spoke chirped "Because I saw something here that was interesting!"

The first creature stopped and tilted her head curiously to the bird and whined "Was it food? Or was it a hyena?" Despite the fact that her body had grown, her red eyes still seemed to hold a sort of innocence that only a pup could obtain.

Noting that her canine companion had stopped, the avian at first just simply remained in place, flapping her wings to keep to the air. However, she soon enough perched onto the grey shoulder and cooed "Is it really that bad to be with your own kind?" She fluffed up a bit of her feathers upon her chest and almost seemed to smile kindly.

Hunching her shoulder's lightly as she sat her haunches down, she whined even more: "Nobody likes ol' Kicheko... they'll prolly chase me away and try to eat you!" A bit of a frown hung heavily upon her face.

A bit of a trill escaped the bird, which filled the dead air with a small bit of laughter. "You worry too much Kicheko!" Leaving her statement at that, she awaited for her companion to continue moving further.

Mafa flinched and perked her head high up; aqua eyes scanning the gray land quickly and constantly. There was nothing there now but she had heard some talking in the distance... She was sure of it. A low growl rubmbled out of her throat; it better not be a lion or she'd chase it right out these lands. Her head tilted back and forth as the conversation went on. She tried to pick out what was going on but she could only hear the distant echos.

The juvinille hyena lifted herself up from her laying position on the tusk and stood lazily. She edged up to near the tip of the hard old tusk and stod still; sniffing the random breezes for any clues to who was coming her way.

Slowly, the red eyed hyena lifted her haunches once more and began to move forward again. Keeping her eyes ahead of her and not looking to her shoulder to her companion, she sighed "Perhaps you are right... but things like that happen I guess... especially when ya ain't got a pack or anything!"

Releasing the shoulder and flapping her dark blue feathers and once more flying by the juvenile's side, she cooed "We might not be a pack, but you can always talk to me! And you know I will always have a good story or two to share!" Chirping lightly, she quirked her head towards the pile of bones ahead.

No longer speaking and allowing the air to return to its dead state, the two continued forward, one by air and one by land. Walking past the bones, though a peculiarly small one crunched under her paw, Kicheko could see the mist covered land she had encountered once before. Her nose was still not quite as sensitive as she would have liked it to have been, so she could not smell the other hyena as she neared the giant skull.

After a few minutes of tenative listening and watching; the forms that were advancing toward Mafa were finally clearing. She squinted into the fog; letting out a low growl. Her agression soon faded as she saw that it was no lion coming near but another hyena and an avian of some sort. She still couldn't tell who it was but her nerves had calmed greatly when she saw it was one of her own kind. She took a deep sniff and a low bark,

"Who's there!?"

Not expecting anyone to greet her so early on, the juvenille jumped a bit in surprise while letting out a bit of a yelp.

The bird on the other hand simply let out a trill of a laugh at her companion and chirped out a reminder "Be polite and introduce yourself!"

No longer moving closer to the skull, though it was looming over her now, she barked quietly "My name is Kicheko..." With that said, she simply awaited some sort of judgement.

Kisa once more perched herself upon the hyena's shoulder and cooed lightly "Good girl. Perhaps you will get to meet another of your kind." However, as comforting as the bird was, Kisa kept her eyes fixated upon the Hyena she had spotted prior while flying around.

Mafa huffed and lept down from the tusk; a big cloud of dust forming around her as she hit the ground. Her eyes narrowed on the other hyena as she crept closer. Soon Mafa stood a few inches from Kicheko's face. Mafa didn't look too happy to see this new hyena. She looked Kicheko over; those eyes were familiar....

"Kicheko...."

Mafa pondered on this name before a sudden realization fell upon her. She had met this hyena before as brief as their encounter had been. Mafa let out a grin and her tail wagged back and forth once.

"Well I'm Mafa, nice to you you again"

The bird continued to watch carefully as she hoovered over her companion. She remained unusually quiet as she simply observed.

The red-eyed hyena might have had a horrible sense of smell and common sense, but she was quite good with faces. A bit of a goofy grin spread across her face as she too began to wag her tail. "For a minute there, you scared me! It is good to see Mafa again! Where is that adult that was with you... hmmm... Bansai...? I think that was his name. Where is he?" Plopping her rear upon the ground, and kicking up a bit of grey dust, her tail swept against the ground rapidly in contentment.

Seeing as things had settled down, the avian then ventured to drifting downwards and perching herself upon the red-eyed juvenille's head. Kisa cocked her head to the side a bit as she continued to look towards the slightly paler hyena.

Mafa pawed at the dirt a little as she contenplated the question. To tell the truth she didn't know. Last she knew he had been here when she left for the southlands... But now he was gone. Mafa sighed and shook her head slowly,

"I'm not sure, he's probably off doing something important"

She spoke as if he was just going to come running back and things would be good again; and they'd run around meaninglessly again. But that was just wishful thinking. Her aqua eyes shifted to the bird as she nodded up at it,

"What's that you got there? Keeping dinner fresh?"

Letting out a good natured Hyena laugh, Kicheko shook her head from side to side. This of course caused the bird to sway from side to side. "Oh no!! This is not dinner, but it is my story teller! She is quite smart for such a little bird!"

Finding this to be an opportunity to speak, the bird chirped out "Hello! My name is Kisa. It is quite good to see another of Kicheko's kind, and one who she knows as well. It is nice to meet you Mafa!" Though the little avian had much faith in Kicheko, she truly could not be certain upon most other carnivores, so she kept a careful eye upon the aqua-eyed hyena.

Finally, the red-eyed hyena's laughter stopped and asked in a vaguely more serious tone "So, what are you doing here anyways?"
