"It's always good to have around." he nodded as he nibbled on the candy and watched Kaleb work. He couldnt tell what pieces went where anymore so he'd probably be useless trying.

As the unusually shaped puzzle got larger in diameter, Kaleb had more trouble finding what he was looking for. Not only did the piece have to match what existed on it's bottom and sides, the edge facing outward had to have right angle and curvature. He was starting to get good at finding the pieces by touch, but there was still a lot of puzzle to assemble.

"So ... what's it supose to be when it's finished?" Knowing that might make it easier to assemble.

Kaleb smiled sheepishly as he fitted another piece together. "I-I don't remember exactly, I was too quick to take it apart, but I think it was a lion."

Stuffing the rest of the octi in his mouth he shuffled though the pieces. "mmmm.... I think these are the head ..." At least they looked like they'd make the head

Kaleb looked at the pieces Vivace held out, and smiled. "Yeah, you're right. Look, you can see an eye on this piece. Did you want to put together the head? Then when we're both done, we can put it all together.

"I can try.." he scooped up a few more pieces and started to fit together the head of the lion. It was slow going as he kept reaching for more candy and getting the pieces mixed up.

Kaleb glanced over at what Vivace had accomplished so far and smiled. "You're not doing badly, I've barely gotten more than that done on the body." He noticed Vivace taking more candy, and only then remembered that it was there. The mage reached into the bag, this time ending up with one of those candy fish instead of the gummy octopus.

"... but i'm stuck now." He had a few pieces and he didnt know how they all fit together since most of them were almost the same shape.'

Kaleb put the candy fish in his mouth, pleased to note that it wasn't sour. He was kind of glad those had caught his eye back in the store. "I usually pick a spot and then figure out what fits it." He grinned. "Sometimes it's more fun when you get stuck now and again, you feel even smarter once you do figure it out."

"But I'm not smart. Nonet's the smart one, i'm the stupid one." He grinned as he stuffed another gummy creature in his mouth. He really didnt mind getting called the 'dumb' one since he knew he wasnt really. He just would rather have fun than be all stuffy and stuck in books.

Kaleb blinked and looked up from his puzzle. "I would rather believe you are the musical one," he replied, only afterwards giving his friend a smile. "If you only compare yourself on one variable, you'll end up selling yourself short." That had been an important lesson for the scrawny mage while growing up, since he was physically weaker than most of his peers, including the girls.

Kaleb sighed a bit, finding another piece of the puzzle that clicked into place. "Well, if it works for you, then it works." He glanced up with an almost concerned expression. "Just don't think of yourself as anything less than you are, okay?"

'I know i'm awsome." He grinned brightly as he poked at the puzzle pieces trying to get them to fit together. "Nonet gets to be smart and Requiem gets to be sneeky and i get to be a dork, it all works out."
