"Alrighty then." She sat and leaned over to a nearby table and grabbed an ale that no one was drinking. She downed it all in one gulp. "It would be nice to stay, to say the least...but I can't be gone from the castle forever. Chances are my insane father is back; his shadow haunting the doorway of my room..."

He nodded. "Just let me know when you wish to return and I'll take you back." He smiled at her drinking the ale and gave a soft shake of his head. The bard started playing a slower song on his fiddle. His name was Jim and it was his usual manner, a quick lively tune followed by a slower, more seducing tune for all the young men trying to fetch the women, or vice versa. He closed his eyes setting his back and started to hum along.

Nika had grabbed two more ales and slugged them both down almost simaltaneously. "Ahhh...at least if I'm nice and drunk, I'll not realize how many nobles I insult when I head back to the castle." She laughed softly. She realized she was disturbing his humming. "Oh uh...you uh...*hic*...know this tune?" She hiccupped slightly from the booze.

He sat up. "Jim plays it often enough. I should." He looked her over. "Ok i'm taking you back before you get too drunk to walk. It's ok if you can't walk straight, but you have to be able to walk." He smiled and stood up grabbing her hands. "Come on let's get you back before there's any trouble. I can't be returning a sick lady to her quarters unless I'm staying with her for the eve to watch her." He helped her up and started towards th door grabbing his jacket and cloak on the way. Before heading out he said his rounds, paid Sira for the boys' drinks, the one's they'd had already and another round.

"I know I just wanted to put my arm around you to make sure." He walked her back the way they'd come, Rick had nodded off at his post so they walked past him silently. Once they got back to the castle servants' entrance he stopped. "You still doing ok?" He wanted to make sure she wasn't about to get sick, the ale was a good brew and could be strong for people not used to it.

"Nah I'm good. Hiccups are gone now." She whispered. "Please do not concern yourself with getting me back. I am capable." She said, popping the hood of her cloak over her tied up pinkish/red hair.

He shook his head. "I brouoght you out, it's my responsibility to make sure you get back. Besides how will I kiss you goodnight at your door if I leave you here?" He smiled jokingly, though he had hoped for maybe just a quick kiss.

"I don't want you getting in trouble on my account." Her tone was actually more serious now. "Besides, think of the scandal if a noble saw you doing that...it's not worth it. Save your kisses for a maiden much fairer than I who will not be confined to a castle for a month or more." She boldly returned to the spot where her open window remained. She climbed up the window sill with one swift jump--surprisingly accurate at that, for a drunken person. "Goodbye, Eric." She paused once inside her room. The other door had been ajar... Funny I don't remember leaving it open...oh no, I hope Father was not here. Then she noticed the note on her glass table....

He watched her go and sighed. "Damnit. A night of trying and I still got nothing. He went through the servant corridors and into his small room that he shared with another messenger. The messenger was out on a long trip and not expected back for some time, so he didn't risk getting in trouble. "Whatever.. she's just a pretty lady, nothing to get worked up over." He quickly undressed to his boxers and dropped lazily onto his small cot. It wasn't much for a bed, but after being out running errands since 4am and then everything with Nika he was exhausted. He quickly fell asleep without anymore thoughts of Nika, he figured if he saw her again, great, if not, he at least showed a pretty young lady a nice time.

Amilia went up to her room in the palace. "Poor sisters" SHe said to herself quietly. She sat on her bed and tied her long blue hair up in a ribbon so it would not come that close to the floor then walked downstairs again.

((lol that's what happens when you're an addict! That's my mule so yeah...)) Xavier had fallen asleep in the dining hall after having a short meal. A quick cat nap and then a servant shooed him out. He headed out into the main hall again scratching his head. He still needed his papers, the book and his payment from that blasted Charles in the library.
