The mage grinned at Vivace's bold statement. It was refreshing, and it was certainly not something Kaleb would readily say about himself. "It sounds like it's nice to have brothers and sisters."

"It's kidna fun. It means you get to blame stuff on someone else when things get broken and you cant ever really be lonely cause you acn just go tackle someone else. But it kinda sucks cause then you have expectations to live up to and you dont really get time alone."

Kaleb set the puzzle down for a bit as he reached for another candy. This time he was more adventurous, finding an unusual fruity mint in the shape of a dinosaur. "It sounds nice to never be lonely." The mage said almost wistfully, sometimes there were days when he wouldn't have to say a single word to anyone between the time he woke up and the time he went to bed.

"It's cool some days, but sometimes it would be nicer to know that no one's going to come looking for you to make sure you didnt get in trouble or that you dont need anything." He grinned as he managed to find another match for the puzzle. "That's why i came here today .. Nonet kept poking at he making sure i wasnt breaking things cause i was in the kitchen."

Kaleb smiled warmly. "I don't think I would ever get tired of having someone who cared for me, as long as they let me return the favour." He picked up his puzzle again and went searching for the next piece, finding it relatively quickly.

"I guess it could be good sometimes .... but Nonet was poking fun at me cause, well i cant cook and i break stuff alot, so it wasnt really looking out for me. So i decided to come here to get away from her." He grinned. "She's been being all huffy lately cause she couldnt figure out how to make her books vanish, kinda like my guitar, so i think she's jealous"

Kaleb figured that was the downside of having siblings, he was sure he would have been teased mercilessly if he were a younger brother. "It's not nice for her to make fun of you, I know I can't cook too well, and I trip over things a lot." He chewed on another gummy. "I'll have to see if I can figure out how to make things vanish, it looks useful, and then I could tell Nonet how I did it."

"I told her i'd tell her how if i could figure it out ... i've jsut never figured out how i do it, i just kinda do" He stuffed another gummy fish into his mouth as he poked at the puzzle

Kaleb took his time nibbling on that one gummy, taking on a somewhat distant and thoughtful look. He was silent for a bit, before glancing back over at Vivace. "Could you show me how you make the guitar reappear sometime?" The mage was pretty sure he wouldn't be able to perform the same magic as his friend, but perhaps seeing it again would give him an idea how to mimic the effect.

"Sure..." Setting the puzzle piece in his hand aside he held one hand over his lap. A small light blue glow started under his palm and a moment later the guitar resolved into existance. "See ... dont know how it works ... i can just do it and it appears." He scrunched his nose. "I guess i have to think about it to make it work, but that's as much as i know"

Kaleb watched in fascination, as his friend performed his magic. "What kind of thing do you think to make it go away?" He asked. When working with his type of magic, thinking about making an item vanish was completely different from thinking about putting it away, or shrinking it. "And when you make it go away, it just poofs into smoke?"

The guitar rested on his lap as he grinned. "Umm ... i just kinda ... i dont know." He really didnt know how to explain it. "I dont think 'go away' or something i just kind a... think and it goes away." He held his hand over it and the guitar vanished.

Kaleb chewed on his lip a bit as he though about it. "It makes sense... I mean, we don't think about how to breathe or move around, we just do it." He smiled. "I wish I had magic that worked like that."

"I hope she figures it out, it sounds like both of you would be happier that way." Kaleb pulled another inconspicuous looking candy out of the bag and stuck it in his mouth, before squeaking and making a face. Once he had gotten the candy swallowed, he blinked sheepishly. "I-I think there's something really sour in that bag."
