IvanTheGreat Li entered the kitchen with such silence, a chill went down his spine. He went up to the fridge and as he opened it he hear a sound. He wasn't sure if it was the fridge or another door. Li didn't worry about it and scaled the fridge....only to discover there was barely anything in there. He check the cabinets and the cooler...still nothing. Li's stomach gave an echoing growl and then settled. Li opened the back door and exited out of the house. He smelt the cold night air, looking at the moon covered in its shimering light. He walked up to the walls of the house and started climbing to the top. He jumped from window to window, with silence and precision. Once he reached the top, he sat down on the edge and hung his legs off the ledge. "I wonder what's it like to be human, to be normal," he whispered to the moon. Li sat back and watched the stars glisten. "How come he was different from many of the demons. He was emotional and open-minded. Li wasn't as demanding and violent as the others, or atleast he didn't like it. Distantly she heard him leave the house, and though was curious as to why he did when he knew that she might think about escaping again, she didn't tread too far into her thoughts about him. She didn't want him to find that she had mamanged to gte out of her room, or that she was going to be exploring the house for any kind of hiding places. She was going to stay on the second story, but she began silently treading the floor towards another set of bedrooms. She walked the corridor, jsut peaking inside each room and spent a better part of 30 minutes just silently looking around. After awhile she found the master bedroom at the far end of the hall and decided to actually go inside. It looked nice with a king sized bed, complete with matching furnishings. And all of a sudden she found that she was tired. On her barefeet she walked over to it and gingerly climbed into the large bed. Curling on her side she didn't even notice when her head hit the pillow; she was out cold.

Li sat up from the rooftop. He saw the shimmering moon move behind dark clouds, and the stars loosing their light. Li lost an interets in watching the dark, night sky. He used to be interested in how the light dances in the dark, lighting the darkness. He liked how the wind rushed through his clothes or when the bats fluttered into the night. Li was very much into nature, but he didn't have the time nor interest in it anymore.
Li stood up and started down from the room. He wasn't sure how long he has been up there, but it was more than an hour thats for sure. As Li was climbing down, he glanced through a window and had a sense something wasn't right. Something was different as he left it. It was more "open" he supposed. "The others could have been there," he thought to himself. With that thought, Li didn't worry about what it was. He finally entered the house and slammed the door behind him. Everything was quite save the insects and creatures of the night. The floorboards were creaky from old age, so anywhere you went, they would squeek.

Distantly she heard a door slam, but it didn't cause her to stir so much as to pull up a blanket around her shoulders, cuddle under it and then fall back asleep. It wasn't very usual to be so exhausted for her, but with as much as she had gone through in just a single day, it was to be expected. Hopefully she would be allowed to sleep the whole night through without any kind of interruptions.

Li was tired, and it was late at night. He didn't feel like walking up all those steps, but the thought of that warm, soft bed gave him the energy. His eyes were heaving, like bricks. Li started to walk up the stairs, trying to be quiet as possible, should Serenity be asleep in her room. He didn't make any creeks this time, and so he reached the top of the stairs quietly. He turned his head to the other side just a little bit, but he saw that Serenitys bedroom door open. His heart skipped so many beats, it would have killed an average human. He ran to her bedroom and looked inside. His fear was reassured when he didn't see her in her room. "What if she got out? What if she called the police or got help? What if she is still traveling to an area with people? What if she already got help and is coming back?" So many questions rushed through his head, but no answers following. Li's heart beat so fast that you could see his chest vibrating. Li ran to all the other rooms, only to see her vanished. One more room left and it was the master bedroom. He rushed in there hoping she hasn't escaped. Once he entered, he saw Serenity sleeping with such peace and vitality. His heart slowed down and his fear escaped into the night, into nothingness. She looked vibrant, radiant, and extrodinary while she was sleeping peacefully. "Maybe I was to hard on her? Maybe she did need some peace," Li thought to himself. He leaned at the door, looking at her. The moonlight hitting her face and radiating off. "She could have escape to safety, but she stayed. She didn't leave, but why is that." Li had so many unaswered questions, but for now...he left them alone. He went and got two blankets, one for him and he used the other to cover serenity. Li layed down on the floor and went to sleep.

((it;s okay. I actually really liked what you had put. *grins*))
She woke up slowly and the only reason she woke up at all was because there were rays of sunshine peeking through the curtains across the room that occsionally hit her face when the curtains fluttered from the gentle breezes blowing outside. She turned over to her back, but she didn't really want to get up. She was very comforatble and very warm. Realizing that she was that warm adn opened her eyes and peered at her body. There was another blanket on her, one that she didn't recall ever seeing. She wondered how that got there when she heard someone else breathing in the room.
A little startled she rose to lean on an elbow and looked around the room, finally spotting Li the demon laying on the floor. She didn't know how long he had been there nor when he even got there, but she knew that she probably shouldn't be in the room; it was the master bedroom afterall, and it was probably his.
Silently Serenity sat up in the bed, pushing aside the blankets and then slowly slid out of the bed and gently placed her feet on the floor. seh didn't want to wake up Li, not knowing how he would react, and wanted to be out of the room before he realized that she was awake. Very slowly and managing to be silent she tiptoed across the room, past the sleeping demon and made it to the door. But as she was steppiung across the threshold a board squeaked.

Li heard her move around on the bed, but he didn't want to startle her. He heard her feet landing on the floor as she was walking away. A second later she stepped on a loose board, and it emitted a creek. "You didn't expect me to wake up after you, did you Serenity?" He stood up and rested his arms behind him. "I couldn't offered you going somewhere else, but the house." His eyes grew red, do to the sun emitting from his pupils. His skin absorbed the sun, but he was faitly pale due to his demon characteristics. "Breakfast is downstairs. This time its going to be gruel."

At his first words a loud shriek emitted from her throat, but she managed to cut it off as she turned to face him. "I'm sorry, I just saw you sleeping and I didn't want to wake you....I thought that you must have been tired and had come in after I did....I'm sorry if I slept in your bed...I didn't know and it looked comfortable...I'm sorry." she said rather quickly as she tried not to become too frightened to where she wouldn't be able to get a word out. She slowly began backing out towards the hall this time, keeping her eyes on him, noticing the effects that the sun had on him and couldn't help but admit to herself that she liked it. It made him appear exotic ad delightful, depsite that she was a bit afraid of him, she still thought he was quite handsome.

Li got up and out of bed, not feeling tired anymore like last night. "All the doors are locked, but not of a way that you can open it. I hope you had a good night sleep because that is the last time you are sleeping in that bed." He waked to the windows and shut the curtains. The light hurt his eyes and even made him crouchy. "Breakfast is somewhere in the fridge, and if there isnt, I am sure you can eat a rat or two."

She looked down at the floor as she continued to say, "I'm sorry, I said I was sorry. I wasn't planning on running away, I was just exploring the house. But I'm sorry that I made you angry. Please don't be angry with me, I'm sorry that I trespassed where I shouldn't." she said in a rush, never lifting her gaze. She had her hands clasped together in front of her at her chest, trying to keep calm, but how could she when he was being so cruel? She didn't understand him one little bit.

silentdraconis She glared at him, then gave it over with a sigh. It was hard to be mad at someone who was looking out for you--even if it wasn't necessary. She finished eating and settled back against the pillows, eyes closed. She was not sleeping, but tallying days. Bryan sat and thought for a while. He let the girl lie. After he had come to a conclusion, he stood. He shook her slightly to awaken her.

She opened an eye. "Mm?" She didn't actually say anything. She just looked at him with eyes like the sea, waiting for him to say whatever it was he had to say.

He leaned over her and grinned. "You can take a bath alone but you must take a bell with you! That way, your honor is preserved and if you relapse I can get help." He reached around her head and felt the back of it. "Does this hurt?"

She started to say a bell would do her a wonderful lot of good if she passed out, but, fortunately, his probing cut her off with a flinch. "It hurts, it hurts." She protested, one hand half-raised to push him away, just not actively trying.

"Well, at least it's a loosely hung bell. It'll ring if you fall down." He grinned and handed her the bell. "The baths are this way." He strode out, leading her towards the large baths.

She followed with a tired sig, looking at the bell as though it were an unwanted necessity--which it was. "I need a toothbrush. And different clothes." She muttered, half wishing she hadn't given her stuff to her sister. At least she had her cards!
