I think she's fine, just shaken up. And rightly so. I think we'll be ok on our own. But I'll let you know if that changes.

Callista shook her head, "This is why they make matchmaking so difficult..." She groaned, "I don't want you to think that I'm defending him, because I'm not. I want every female to have a mate like Val...just not Val himself...But this male is older, and you've given him back colors and feelings, wouldn't it be logical to think that maybe he's having problems dealing with those new sensations? And then you throw in the sensations that just being so close to your lifemate inspires...and that can be very confusing..."

Callista's heart broke for her niece, "Oh Serenata!" She hugged her tightly, "You are your mother's daughter for certain! We never ask for anything, do we? But we are made for this. We are made to be the blinding star that they revolve around. I know it doesn't seem like it now, but we females are not without our own powers to combat those that the males have. What each of us have to do is figure out how to take our power and make it work for us. No lifemate will every hurt his lifemate. They must see to our safety, health, and happiness. If you are safe and healthy, but not happy, then you need to tell him so that he can do something to fix his behavior to make you happy." And again, if he's been alive for so long, how many things have changed since he's been with other Carpathians? Maybe he needs an update?"
