(Somehow. In the Fortress.)
Hopefully, she would get a job. Some gold. She just wanted a lot of it. That was all.
Tap tap tap. Somehow, she felt her size within the echoing walls. She was but a child still, not even close to bearing 5' in length. For her 4'... whatever she last measured herself, was hardly intimidating at all.
"He-hello?" She looked about, wondering where she could apply. "I... I need... help."
But she was young. And she would not let her youth go to waste acting like an innocent ninny.
And her sword strapped to her back would speak for her.

"Another warrior! Well met, are you also asking to partake in the ensuing festivities? Well, I'm sure we could always use another swordsman. I am Trevor, Knight of Ostia. THis is Stephen, a wanderer, and this lass is... I'm sorry, I don't believe I've asked your neme!" Trevor inwardly kicked himself. These youths shouldn't be fighting in a war. They still had their lives ahead of them, and yet they were willing to sacrifice it for Ostia. Or was it the gold?

"Really?! A fight?!" Hannah appeared hopelessly excited, clapping her hands together happily. "Oh yay! Rodash, guess what, we're going into a fight! That's right, a fight! This is our first big step to becoming famous! We'll be just like the Brave Knight in the Fairy Tale!" After a moment longer of cheering, she looked back at Trevor. "Of course I'll help you! And by the way, I'm Hannah Talisman, the Copper Lance of Caelin!" She sighed, okay so she didn't have title name right now, but soon she would! Soon, everybody'll know about her!
Bringing her horse upbeside Trevor, she held out her hand, grinning cheerfully. "And, who might you be?"

*Arrives in the Ostia City* (Stop moving Fumei! scream Be my friend... crying )
"It seems like there's a skirmish, I wish I can do something..." Koros said to himself. Though he likes swords and fighting, the idea of war frightened him. He made his way to the bakery.
(Gah, I have to go. My baby sister "needs" to use the computer... stare )

Trevor was concerned. The caviler was altogether too enthusiastic. The horrors of war were not the things of merry tales. "Well met! I am Trevor, Knight of Ostia. For your own saftey, I would advise staying nearby me at all times. My lance has not failed me yet, and the day it does I do not care to see! I thank you for your help, yet I do hope you survive. We have too many dead heros."

"Eh?" Hearing her voice, Hannah looked over her shoulder and towards the new girl. She appeared to be around her age, only abit older. But, with the sword at her side, Hannah could tell right away what she was doing here.
"Oh! You wanna help fight with us?!" She cheered, clapping her hands together and grinning happily. "This'll be great, and by the way, I'm Hannah Talisman, the Copper Lance of Caelin!"

"..." B'Elanna did not bother to return Hannah's gaze as she walked towards Trevor. "...Do we get paid?" She whispered.

"Erm.... dead hero's?" Hannah blinked, taken by surprise. Of course she was aware of death in war, but...at the same time she wasn't. She seemed to think that the people on the "good side" would always live, always win the battles with no or few casualites. But, no... this guy was probably just exaggerating! Just trying to make her be careful...."O-Oh, anyways, of course! I'll stay by you no matter what! And you can trust I'll take down some nasty villains too!"

"Hmm...these plans look interesting. I'm ready to fight as long as I can be paid!" Stephen quickly his situation at home to Trevor, and an agreement of 500 gold was made between the two. (Taken of course from Ostia's treasury 3nodding )
"So, let's see...I think there are a few axe-weilding baffoons in the lot of that blockade. Mind if I take 'em out? Their bulky, slow axes are no match for my speed" Stephen proclaimed 3nodding

"Of course! Go right ahead!" Hannah nodded cheerfully, answering him before Trevor even got the chance to answer. "My lance won't work very well against 'em... but I want the sword-users!"

"There's a good lass. We'll survive those bandits together. And of course you'll be paied young merc. Why, it's not like we're out here for our health." Trevor was still concerned, but at least these two seemed optomistic. That was far more than he could say about many of his fellow knights. The ones that were still alive, that is.

B'Elanna looked to the floor as she thought, shuffling her feet. There was no point in defending the fortress if she wasn't to be paid. She took note of the Sacaen and the loud lancer and the bulky knight.
Hm.

B'Elanna folded her arms, looking to Trevor. "That's good. So when do we start? I'm bored."
At least, she had better not be wasting her time...

"Bored? The time before the battle should be spent preparing for the fight. Is your sword sharp? Is your armor firm? What enemies are you ready to attack? These are the questions that you must ask youself, young merc. I have seen too many friends run to fight ill equipped to defeat the enemy. Far too many..." Trevor eyed the battlefield. Yes, soon the enemy would charge. Then all he would be able to do would be stand firm.
