He didn't like what was happening to Ostia latley, but it was his duty to serve, not question his superiors. It is my sole point in life to protect. I will not fail now. Trevor, Knight of Ostia is reporting for duty sir! What would you have of your servant?

"Damnit, this is taking forever..."

Stephen had just reached the border of Lycia, and was excited to hear brand new news of a Lord named Finn being attacked.

"Here's my lucky break! Maybe I can be a bodyguard for this guy..."

Hurrying off to the west side of the country, Stephen was in high hopes for his chance at finally getting a job

*Outside a "Random Pub" in Laus*

"... Don't you have anything at all?" a tiny girl whispered, her fingers grazing her leather sword holdster around her body.

The barkeep shook his head, sighing. "No, I'm sorry. Missions are rare nowadays, lass. None of them are interested in a youngin' such as yerself. I know ye think me old and crazy, but let's look at the facts. You're half as small as everyone else in the business. You're a girl. They just don't believe ya big enough for any jobs."

B'Elanna shrugged. Fine. If this one didn't want to give her a job, she'd have to find one. After all, Laus was scarce in all missions with all the competition she had...

...Kathelet always has a good source of everything...

And to Kathelet she traveled.

Within record time, Stephen had reached a sort of blockade that was near the border between Ostia and Etruria.

"I'm here!" he thought. But what to do about this blockade...

Stephen noticed a heavily armoured knightly-looking person standing to the side, with some random soldiers. He looked as if he was planning something.

"Hey, you guys" Stephen called out. "You there, armour-dude. You guys need some help? I have a feeling you guys are gunna do something about this here blockade..."

*Kathelet, by way of SUPAA TELEPORT, cause we can*

"....You owe me. This is a place for informants. Spies. Thieves. Usefulness." B'Elanna whispered, almost inaudibly, her expressionless eyes piercing through a dirty looking street rat.

The street rat trembled beneath her unknown gaze, wringing his hands. "I know... I know.... it's just... that... I've been paid... to... y'know... shhh..." He quickly backed up into the alley he was cornered in, feeling desperate for an escape from this sword-holding girl.

"...Please. I... have no home. Nor shelter. I need a fight to go home to." Her whisper echoed in the empty, dark alley. She wasn't lying. Besides, the best way to get info was to make others pity her plight, whatever it was. She just wanted a fight and some money, just to get on another day.

Sigh. "...But Belle, please..."

B'Elanna tightened her turban, and drew her sword slowly. "Talk. Now. I have no qualms selling your corpse to your enemies."

You mean the fortress I've been ordered to protect? You've arrived in time, but I'm afraid we're still short a member. Still, good to have you aboard wanderer. Trevor eyed the swordsman. He would do. But he wasn't sure why he had been ordered here. And the talk going around... It kept him fed though, and it kept Ostia safe.

For a land in the midst of a war, Lycia was a beautiful place. The fields of lush grass blew lightly under the breeze, occasionally shifting directions as the wind changed way, bringing with it the seeds of dandelions, the singing of birds, the sound of a horse trotting and finally, the voice of young girl, her cheerful chatting carrying high above the air.

Dispite the beauty of the feilds surrounding her, she wasn't very aware of them, infact, she wasn't aware of them at all! She still beleived she was in the forest, even though she had exited it two hours ago.

The cause of this was a small leather bound object, practically stuffed into her face as read it outloud.

"The Brave Paladin turned to face the dragon, preparing his lance for the final blow..." She said dramatically as she flipped the page. "It appeared all odds were against him as the Dragon's massive body towered over the Paladin. However, he was not shaken by this show of strength, and simply galloped forward. The Dragon took this moment to let out a blast of hot flame, but Paladin went to the side just in time, before driving his weapon through the Dragons heart." She suddenly cheered happily, her shoulder lenth brown hair bouncing up and down as she hugged her book.

"YIPPIE!!! The Brave Paladin won! Now... let's see what happens next...."

"The Brave Paladin then rescued the Princess, and brought her back to the Palace. A month later the two wed lived happily ever after...."

"Ah....!" The girl sighed dramatically, looking up in the air. "Nomatter how many times I read through this, it never becomes boring! Isn't that right Rodash?"

The brown horse beneath her nickered lightly and shook his head, a sign that while the girl considered to be a "Yes", was really a "Whatever."

However, she still continued on talking, her red calavir armor glinting brightly in the sunshine. "And we're soon gonna be just like him, Rodash! Ah... that's right! I can see it now... Hannah Talisman, the Copper Lance of Caelin, and her noble steed, Rodash, the umm... Firey Steed of Caelin!"

Rodash let out a winny, as Hannah stuffed her book back into the bag attached to the belt around her waist, overtop of her red dress, which ended across her knees. "Alls we need to do is follow the Commanders orders! "Set out, find people in need, defend Lycia, and train to become a proper Paladin!"

[Given permission by fu-fu ^^]

He was finally here. Kathelet. He had always only heard about it and now that he has seen it with his own eyes, he was awestruck. Everything was so different from the Plains. Wandering through the street, his gaze never ceased to stop at a place for long, taking in everything with almost child-like excitement. Glancing over, emerald green hued eyes lit up when he noticed a stall. What was the stall selling? He had never seen anything like that before! Running over, he stopped abruptly as he passed an alley. Voises were coming from in there. Voices of fright and threat. Backtracking, he peered into the alley to see a female cowering over another. Rushing over without hesitation, Vaschel drew out his sword to face the bully. "What are you doing?"

The air near the fort stank. Fires burned at the camp, and the atmosphere was fairly dark. Soon, the smell of decaying bodies would be added to the mix. "So, you care to share your name wanderer?" Trevor examined his spear. The haft was perfect. It was well balanced, and easy to use as iron usually was. "Stephen, eh? Well met, and I hope to see you alive at the end of this."

((Hello! Here enters Koros Dragos, Master Mecenary of Doughnuts!))

Koros approached the outskirts of Kathelet. (By the magical teleporter! xd )

"Ah, three months of traveling and I have finnaly made it to Kathelet. I hope they have a good bakery as good as their spies!" Koros said to himself happily, rubbing his hands together. He walked into the city and whistled to himself while walking to the nearest bakery.

(Kathelet)

"O-o-o-o-ostia! T-There's always something going on in Ostia!" The informant cried, drawing the dark hood over his head, and covered his head with his arms.

And a shadow covered him like the black mask of death.

Metal slid smoothly back into a sheath and B'Elanna sighed. Following the first piece of information was not often the best thing to do, but...

Another shadow meant someone had followed them. Perhaps he too had ordered the silence of her informants...

She turned to see a hero, with a sword shining in the light. "Heh. Off to play hero huh?" Within a heartbeat, she burst from the alleyway, pushing Vaschel down. "Come and catch me if you can, HERO."

A fight was a fight. She loved them. The aura of danger was intoxicatingly addictive. Plus, he was a small boy. Fitting for a small girl like herself. Cutting the reins off a post of a nearby horse, B'Elanna rode off towards Ostia.

Hoping for a home.

A fight.

~*~*~*~

(Ostia. Near the fortress. e_e Asking to join?)

Battlecries of war rang in her ears, as she spied closer in the building. The smoke burned her eyes, and she coughed into the sleeve of her dress.

Hmmm. To defend or attack? Perhaps there was a bandit who could pay her for her services. Perhaps there was some value in this building, and someone would pay to have it defended. Still.

Which side to join?

Oh well. She'd have to see.

Slightly whispering into her horse's ear, she whipped its rear, sending it careening into the bandits in front of her.

And while they're distracted, I guess I'll just make my way through....

(Somehow getting to the blockade)

As Trevor and Steven were talking, Hannah turned around a corner, coming straight into the blockade. "Woah!" She gave a sharp jerk on Rodashs rains, and her brown horse bound backwards, keeping the two a safe distance from the battle, yet obvious to the Trevor and Steven.

Hannah was, for a Caliver, a very amusing sight. She had to be no more then fourteen, and yet was dressed in the armor worn by Caelin Calivers, with a red dress going down to her knees underneath. Her messy long brown hair blew lightly in the wind, along with the flag of Caelin attached to her brown lance, which she held highly in the air.

"Helloooooooooo there!"

"Ah, young lass. I'm afraid there's a bit of a skirmish in these parts. If you intend to join, I would advise using utmost caution. We would be more than happy to have any assistance you may lend.Trevor looked at the mounted girl. She would be an instant target on the battlefield. "If you need any defence on the field of battle, just ask me!"
