Ears teetered only an inch, before Fai shrugged it off. "No biggy. I'll just keep scouting for them." They must be in this world, er...Mountain somewhere. Seemed like everyone was looking for someone else. Even the furries of this world. Fai winked her some encouragement, but otherwise said nothing to her own situation. What could he say?
Blue eyes went up as he took in the cabin, snugged comroftably in the middle of the woods here. Hyuuu~ It looked cozy enough, and even moreso on the inside. "They?" Was Kitsyn looking for someone in particular to already be here? "So then, where do we check in?" ^_^ He certainly didn't want to be disappearing, unless he wanted to.

Kitsyn blinked, momentarily puzzled, before she started laughing. "Check in! Oh... this isn't like a hotel. It's here for anyone that needs it, at any time. It's... I dunno what to compare it to, really. People with no where else to go stay here, people meet up with their friends here to go do things... whoever runs it generally keeps plenty of food and snacks stocked up. There's even a small library in here somewhere, so I've heard. I don't actually come up here myself much. Or the HQ down in Realm, either, come to think of it. Too busy looking after my housemates..." She shrugged.
She padded into the main room and waved a paw around. "Pull up a couch or a chair or whatever, if you want. You can sleep in here or find a vacant room, whatever. This place isn't as big as Realm HQ but it's still nice."
She wasn't really in the mood to get into the "they" bit... so she went over to the wall and pointed up at a small map. "This is only Mountain... the rest of Realm is a lot bigger. But," she pointed at the spot where the cabin was labeled, and then down in a general direction off the edge of the map, "Realm HQ is that direction. Really big place, lots of rooms. And if you happen to stumble on a boring looking two story white house with a pool in the back yard on your way there, that's the Place, so you can stop and say hi if you want."

Not a hotel? Coulda fooled him. Fai stretched his front...paws over his head, taking in the cabin. Cozy indeed. It would do for their hopefully short stay in this world. And food sounded good right now, but that was out of the question. Might as well spend his time in the library. Maybe there'd be hints of feather magic told in there?
Flicking his ears, the mage padded into the center of the room. Hmm, what to sit on? He opted for the single chair, falling back on it with the sound of cushion fluffing his fall. Blue wings fell to the sides of the chair, tips just brushing the ground. A small tilt of his head to observe the map that Kitsyn was describing. "Hm, looks like alot of land to cover." He might just have to regroup with the ninja to make sure they didn't get lost. Eye blinked when Kitsyn continued. "Oh, you're not staying? Maybe for a cup of tea?" Was that even a flavor here?

Kitsyn grinned. "You're a good distraction, aren't you? I can stay for a bit, sure. ...Green tea or black? I don't know if they keep many kinds of tea stocked up here but we do... Not that I'm sure if we'd have the kind of tea you like. You're free to use it while you're here, too, by the way."

Fai gave the girl the best puppy eyes he could muster. Well, at least with one eye. He rested his head on the armrest, tails wagging behind him. "Why, are distractions a bad thing?" ;__; But he smiled widely when Kitsyn allowed some time spent here.
"Hmm, that is a tough question." He scratched a paw through his messy excuse of hair. "I think I'll go with green tea, if you please." He made to lift from the chair, wiping away crinkles to his clothes. He was always one to help in the kitchen. Had become used to it as well, with all the world's and meals they've gone through already.

Kitsyn grinned. "You don't have to get up unless you just want to... though I guess if you're gonna be here much I ought to show you where stuff is in the kitchen..." She tilted her head thoughtfully.

"No no, it's no bother at all." Hopping off the chair fully, Fai moved nearer to Kitsyn. There were too many doors for him to choose right off the back. Blue tails shook behind him. He needed to get something in his stomach, even if it was only tea.

Kitsyn led the way into the kitchen, showed him where the bowls were, where they kept the tea, and randomly handing him a box of crackers. "You look like you could use something..." Shrug. Then she put some water in the teapot and waited patiently for it to do its thing. "Where're you from?" ...If only she could explain how nice it was to be able to ask that and mean it. DX "If you don't mind me asking, anyway."

Entering the kitchen, Fai immediately set foot to the directions pointed out. Bowl; check. Tea; ooh green tea! Check. Crackers....wait. What? The lanky male blinked when the box was pushed into his arms. "Oh?" He gave the box a blue eyed peek, before shrugging with a grin. "Well thank you." Humming to himself randomly, Fai slouched against the kitchen cabinets with his tails waving slowly to his side.
He had just manage to put a dry cracker to his mouth when he was addressed with a question. "Hmmorhh." Oops. Swallow first, then speak. "A small ice world named Celes." He plastered a smile while pointing to his face. "That explains the pale complexion." Not much sun to get behind snow clouds.

Kitsyn grinned a bit. "I'm rather fond of snow myself... but then I don't live with it all the time, either. I don't know how I'd feel about it then. Things are cooler up here on the mountain, generally, though the weather still gets warm. I suppose you noticed that, though?"
The tea kettle began its angry whistling and she shushed at it before putting water in the bowls and passing it to him. "Tea bags... I never put the tea in myself if I don't know how someone else likes it, so..." Shrug.
"Anyway... you want some help looking for those two younger ones? And the rabbity thing...? I can have my housemates keep an eye out. We get all over the place, and, well, it wouldn't be anything new. Like I said... we have friends and friends of friends with habits of disappearing. I'm tempted to put a leash on some of them."

The mage glanced down to his own bowl. Snow. It had been some worlds since Fai last saw the white blankets of nature. It was almost missed, in some strange way. He nodded faintly. "It is pretty warm at the moment. Or maybe it's just all this fur?" He giggled to his own observation, holding out a paw and spreading the toes. Like a girl to observe her painted nails.
With the whistle his ears jumped, sensitive in this new form. Having the steamy water before him, he whipped out the small bag of tea and dropped it with a plop in the liquid. "Yummy yummy tea!" He leaned back once more as the tea made itself tasty. "Any help would be kindly appreciated, yes. Thank you dear Kitsyn." He smirked at the idea of leashes, the sudden image of a black puppy the first thing to pop in his mind. Heehee.

"Heh... the fur's worse for some than others. And like you said, yours is pretty light colored. If all else fails you could strip some of that black off. ...Not that I ever do." She chuckled a bit. "Maybe if I'd been born a kitsu I could get used to running around with no clothes but... nah."
She dropped bags in her tea and watched it steep for a moment before looking up. "Sure, no problem. If for some odd reason we happen to find 'em I'll come up here or send somebody at least..."
The smirk didn't go unnoticed, and she raised an eyebrow, a smirk of her own appearing. "Hmm... I could get a leash... easily... if you had someone in mind." Snicker.

"Wooo now," The mage had to pause for his laughs, finding the statement comical. "Even I don't have the crazies enough to walk around nude. Sorry!" Maybe with some sake....but that was a different story. X3 In the meantime, he'd just have to fan himself with his wings.
Well, at least now they had scouts to help find their missing teammates. And so far, these kitsusagi seemed friendly enough. At least this female before him did. It help this world go by just a bit faster. Fai tilted his head innocently to her suggestion. "Hyuuu? Me?" Temping as it was, he knew he'd just get sooo beat up for bringing it up later. Let alone actually producing a leash while talking about it. "Heh, I don't know what you're talking about." <3

"Of course you don't." She chuckled again and lapped experimentally at her tea. Just a little too hot still... "Maybe if we find those friends of yours, so they can't get themselves lost as easily next time." Grin.
"Hmm... I will warn you, most of the kitsusagi you'll run into are generally nice. Or at least indifferent. There's some though... especially among the Nightmaren... that are mean and even downright violent. I won't say to judge a book by its cover, but if you see any really big kitsusagi... with claws and bony muzzles and horns... and eyes sown shut... be wary. Their ancestors were cursed, and while they're not all bad, there's a lot of them that like to blame the world in general for how unfair it is for them to have inherited it. ...Though even I have to agree on that point, since that was years and years and years ago and the new generations have nothing to do with it." She sighed and tried her tea again. "Seem's Fate is a fickle thing no matter what world you're in."

"Hmmm, sounds like a plan." Like those leashes they put around kids when walking around stores. 8P But Fai would be in charge of choosing the colors! Let's see....pink, green, red and blue! And Mokona could get orange. X3
"Nightmares, gottcha." Big with horns...sounded like a dragon. And of course there was no book judging here! The mage at least liked to coo at others before blinking them a stereotype. Fai tilted her head to her beliefs. Holding spite and holding grudge...were they the same thing? "Hmmm, you are what you are." His shoulders slackened at the word Fate, and the mage busied himself with drinking his tea.
